First time stay and will be back without doubt, could well be my go to accomodations in Vegas from here on. Stayed in a Junior Suite for two nights, very clean, smoke free complex above the Miracle Mile Shops, nice pool facility. Only negative was that the front desk were to call me when the room was ready however they did not, no big deal.Genuine Expedia guest review
"4pm Check in? Try 5pm..."
Checking in was horrible. Most hotels have a 2pm check in time. I was surprised when after standing in a small but never moving line (twice) that our room was still not ready. In swim trunks, we decide to just go get dinner. We came back at 4:45pm and the man behind the counter seemed nervous and complained about a new computer system that did not appear […] to be working. Then he just took off for 5 min behind a door. He came back with a room assignment. Seems like they over sold the hotel and we got a bump up to a higher level room (which was the saving grace of this staycation. Also the stickers the bellman used on our bags left glue and paper on everything it touched. I would have expected a much more organized hotel for a 4 Star, Hilton on the strip. They have work to do. Rooms were beautiful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We really liked the suite that we stayed in for the most part. The view was spectacular, we had a kitchenette and plenty of space to stretch out in for our golf weekend in Vegas. The only knock on the awesome room we had was the couch pull out queen bed. We had to rotate sleepers because it was so uncomfortable. Otherwise, the room was perfect!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good hotel. Decent value. The worst part is you need a stupid room key everywhere you go. God forbid you forget it. The staff don't care one bit. You could literally walk out of the pool or the elevator and before they let you back into the room you paid for they scan your key. Easier ways to accomplish the same goal than putting people on vacation […] out. And they're not civil about it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel and staff were superb. I would recommend staying to anyone. Just off the strip but close to casinos, malls, restaurants.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Best hotel for your money."
We paid for a 1 bedroom suite at the Elara Hotel during our stay in Las Vegas. Our flight was a late evening flight and we didn't arrive to the hotel until almost mid-night. They allowed for late check-in, therefore, our room was still available to us when we checked in. The front desk, Carlo, was amazing. He up graded up to the highest floor, 56th, […] and in a more newly renovated room with free wifi which would normally run us $9.99/per night. The room was amazing and had an amazing view of the strip. We feel asleep to the view. The room was spacious and the full kitchen was the best thing. It came full equipped with pots and pans, glasses, cups, forks, knives, spoons, soap, coffee making, blender, can and bottle opener, cleaning sponge, etc.; everything that a kitchen needs to cook and clean except salt and pepper, oil, sugar, etc.; Other then that, the room was so worth the money. It cost us less to rent a full 1 bedroom suite at the Elara then any other hotel and it was worth every penny. Even though they are located off the strip and behind Planet Hollywood, they are not that far off the strip. We just needed to walk through Planet Hollywood and we were on the strip. I was barely a 5 minute walk. Having a washer and dyer combo in our room was a bonus. The stuff was amazing. They were great at helping us when we needed them. The extra security was good because we knew we would be safe in our hotel. We really enjoyed the our experience at Elara. I would give it a 5-star Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Not as great as advertised."
Upon arrival immediately hounded for High Pressure Sale pitch. I wish they would take no for an answer. Also, no sound when projection screen tv was activated. Staff says this was a renovated room and it was like this by design. I had to manually turn on wall television to hear sound while projection was activated. That was annoying. Also, there was […] paint smeared outside our bedroom window. This took away from the quality of what could have been a beautiful view. Also, some the jets in the spa tub were non-functional. I called the extension assigned to address these issues but received no response. Aside from those things things were ok. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"OUR SECOND STAY AT THE ELARA"
Once again, a year later we found ourselves heading to The Elara in Las Vegas. Our first time at the Elara was simply amazing. This time, once again, check-in was a breeze, valet guys are awesome and we loved our room layout (junior suite facing the back of planet Hollywood, Paris hotel and Ballys and we could even get a glimpse of the Bellagio fountain). […] The bed is absolutely superb. I slept better each night and on our last day I didnt want to get out of bed. The room was a bit dusty though but you really have to run your fingers down on the furniture to notice. The amenities were all there except one morning I had to wait 25 minutes for some coffee sachets that had been missed during cleaning on previous day. I found this time around the water pressure in our walk-in shower was a bit weak and we were told that's as good as it gets. Other than that the Elara is best non-gaming Hotel slightly off strip. The connected walkway to the Miracle Mile Mall makes it ideal and accessibilty to bars, food outlet and is literally a few minutes way away from the strip. We may choose to stay in a different Hotel the next time we visit Las Vegas, just to try something different. The Elara will always be on our list of top Hotels in Las Vegas and you never know...maybe we will go back!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent Views, large rooms and quiet."
Our room was a 1 bedroom suite, large sectional couch, full kitchen, fridge with filtered water and ice machine, all the comforts of home!! The jacuzzi tub was great in the bedroom but takes an awful long time to fill, you can take that extra time to do what you please!!! The lobby area is pleasing and quiet, security meets you for your room key before […] entering elevator area, and are very pleasing to talk to. Its not invasive and you feel more secure walking to your room. Pool are is nice, lots of staff around for any questions, or your favorite drink! We stayed last year in a junior suite it was just as pleasing for the two of us, ant would recommend both as each has a separate bedroom area, larger feeling but the junior only has a micro and mini fridge, but it works for how long your actually in the room. Location is great next to miracle mile shops and Planet Hollywood hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent non-gaming hotel, clean & spacious"
We checked in with no lines at all. Tip is to park at Miracle Shops self parking lot behind Planet Hollywood and it's a short walk to the hotel. We got the free upgrade to Junior Suite per the website with Expedia. It was a pleasant surprise to see how spacious it was, it's actually a separate one bedroom, and the shades automatically went up in the […] living room as we walked in. Everything appears to be clean, and the king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a 1 person jetted tub. It's not too far to walk out from the Miracle shops & onto the strip, you're right across the street from Cosmopolitan, Crystal shops, behind it is Aria. You can also walk down to Bellagio & Caesars. Palace. Junior suites are at the corners of the building, so it's preferable if you get the one facing the strip. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A Beautiful Place to Stay at"
I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the staff and the service I will be coming back again with friends to stay at your BEAUTIFUL hotel ... a Home away from home.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was excellent. The pool relaxing, the rooms huge, the non casino vibe was great. Highly recommend to people to try to avoid the LV hype. One issue was a front desk employee was verbally very rude to me and other guests as I attempted to check out. What a shame. But I guess everyone has a bad day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Vacation 2014 Las Vegas"
We went to have a good time in Vegas, We booked the Elara. Great hotel we had a junior suite. As my 25 year old son was traveling with us. It was the best hotel we had ever been to. "Not for business travelers"
I was staying in Elara on business. What a mistake. There is no breakfast room in the whole multi-story skyscrapper hotel - you order the food from your hotel room (or from a beach chair by the pool) and then you want 30+ min for someone to bring it to you. This just doesn't work. Hotel rooms do not have LAN wires for the business travelers. It's also […] kinda far away for the strip. The hotel is roaming with kids enjoying the 3 ft. deep pool and seniors taking a break from gambling. The great part about my room at Elara was the jacuzzi bath rub in my room. Not sure if every room has one, but that was very nice. Everything else was blah, from decor (target store posters of marylin monroe and james dean) to the vibe. Needless to say, never again on business. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Really nice hotel, amazing service and an outstanding place to state. Only complain the room was not as clean as I expected to be. It needed some maintainance like the tv remotes they are old and need to be replace. "Bad luck for me I guess"
The hotel is great and should be better. It depends on where your room is. IF you wind up on the parking garage side, be prepared for a noisy stay. BEWARE also of "grease trap" cleaning night! I was awakened at 3AM by the sound of a diesel tractor and machinery 18 floors below me. Irritating enough but then.... the smell of rancid grease fills the room. […] Nauseating.. Lots of sympathy from the shift manager but not a single offer to make it right. I was told to put a towel over the air vents. There are plenty of choices in Vegas. I would be very careful about choosing this one. Cant say I would return. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
What a pleasant surprise. First time at hotel...very close to strip, very modern and comfortable hotel; clean; great staff and nice decor. I'll stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel had been highly recommended to us by a couple we met a few months earlier in Las Vegas. We were a bit disappointed, compared to other non-casino hotels we've stayed at in Las Vegas in past visits. First, the small stuff - the rooms are still decorated in 90's era Planet Hollywood motif. Cheesy sparlkly paintings of the Hollywood sign, etc. […] The kitchenette was directly next to the bed, which we thought was odd. The furniture layout was also very odd. There was not a full length dressing mirror, just the bathroom mirror, On the plus side , the kitchenette had a dishwasher (?), dishes and there was a coffee maker and free coffee. We looked at a couple of other rooms, and it seems that the rooms next to the end of the hall (x31 & x32, which was ours) were the odd ball rooms in the hotel as far as layout goes. Try not to get these rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was nice, though it lacked a separate tub and shower. Overall the Elara is not as nice as similarly priced non casino hotels (the MGM Signature, or The Hotel at Mandalay Bay (our favorite), but the Elara is really about location - it's centrally located on the Strip and directly attached to Planet Hollywood casino, which offers gambling, shopping, restaurants and clubs. "Hotel was ok - nothing special"
It was a pain that you had to use your room key to get on the elevator and that Ice makers were only on the 5th and 50th floors. The staff at check in were clueless and just started talking and wouldn't shut up. The policy of all beverages have to be purchased at the pool is a crock and they only checked some bags not all which is a form of discrimination. "Hotel manager canceled my reservation"
When I arrived at 2 AM at this hotel the hotel manager admitted that he himself canceled my reservation as he thought I had no showed. I was late checking in, however, had called the hotel earlier the day before to let them know and the woman I spoke with at that point assured me that the room was still in my name as I had already prepaid for it thru […] Expedia. When I explained this to the night manager, he said there were no such notes on the reservation in the system and he couldn't do anything anymore at that point. I was out the $380+ for that reservation and also another $350 for the room I was thankfully able to get at 3am on a Saturday morning after calling 5 other hotels who were also booked that nite. I will NEVER stay at or recommend this hotel to my friends or family. I was literally turned out to the street even though I had paid for a room ahead of time and not offered a refund or even a phone to call another hotel. Terrible customer care and service. Very disappointing unfortunately. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Three friends stayed over Spring Break. I was hoping to get a rollaway bed, but didn't know until check-in that they do not have them at this facility. However, there was plenty of room. "surgical travel strike (or "my vegas wedding")"
we decided to get married and had to do it in vegas, because VEGAS BABY! looking around at prices and locations; we decided on a non-casino type property to avoid larger foot traffic and smokiness, we still wanted reasonable access to popular venues or other major points of interest (i.e. bellagio fountains; airport etc). We arrived late sunday evening […] (march 16 2014) and had a very short trip from the airport, taxi for two was cheaper than a shuttle for two would have been AND no other stops or people sharing the ride; score #1. got to our room and there is a kitchenette with a dishwasher, mini fridge, microwave AND COFFEE MACHINE! score #2 (other than getting married, that was probably the most important part of our trip) still on eastern time we woke up early and fetched a cab to downtown to the marriage license bureau, with little traffic we enjoyed taking the strip and being able to see everything; score #3. we went to a very convenient wedding chapel and had a same day ceremony scheduled within minutes (vegas wedding chapel, original location with the fish tank from the tv show) including the best elvis in vegas, "Kent" the elvis! almost everything was within walking distance and what wasn't was easily found with a taxi; much more convenient than the deuce or monorail (purely subjective however since its entirely dependant upon your agenda, however the strip is a few steps away, as is the MGM station of the monorail). "Great place, but not without it's flaws"
First of all, the hotel room was really nice. I stayed in the 1-bedroom suite. The bedding was really soft and comfy and the projector TV was amazing. The room came with a washer (I didn't use it), and a dish washer, and 4 full sets of cups, dishware, and utensils. I would definitely want to stay at Elara again in the future. However, there were some […] minor issues with the room. Firstly, the bathroom door locks in my suite didn't work properly. The sliding door lock was completely broken, and the regular door took a bit of effort to close all the way, making it difficult to lock. Next, the extra blanket that was in the closet had a bunch of dark marks and stains on it (looked like it might have been make-up or something). It should have been easy to see before they folded it. Lastly, the hot tub had little chunks of grime/dirt that came out of the jets. It wasn't a whole lot, but it was noticeable when we drained the tub. None of these were deal-breakers, but definitely things that NEED to be fixed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Vegas hotel around!"
The Elara was great for it's location and convenience to the LV strip. The property if connected to the Miracle Mile shops on Las Vegas Blvd, a 3-5 minute walk to the Axis theater in Planet Hollywood, and is pretty much right in the middle of all the action. Best thing is, there isn't a casino and smoking is not allowed on the property so when you are […] ready to relax from all the chaos of Vegas you just had, you will totally be able to. Rooms were clean, the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on, and every room comes with a mini kitchen stocked with plates, cups, and sliver ware if you are a family that needs it.
