The hotel was conveniently located to Times Square and a reasonable walk to the subway. It was very nice and clean and still less expensive than comparable hotels. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was adequate size for the two of us (in a King Room). What a lovely evening we had at the Intercontinental! Gorgeous lobby and finishes throughout, attentive staff, luxurious bathroom and - I kid you not - THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED I have ever slept in - handily beats the Westin Heavenly Bed. But the final proof of this great hotel came when we had a problem. After check-out, my friend realized he left […] his suit jacket in the room. The front desk and housekeeping staff were all incredibly professional on the phone, called me back to confirm they had found it, called AGAIN when he arrived to confirm it was OK to release the jacket to him, and presented it to him in a cute little bag. This trip to NYC was to visit Madison Square Garden for a NY Rangers and Montreal Canadians game. As a huge NY Ranger fan I set this trip up so my buddy (A Montreal Fan) could attend his first NHL game at MSG. I chose the Intercontinental for the price and close proximity to the Garden. Most NYC hotel rooms are on the smallish size since space is a premium in NY. The Intercontinental rooms were more like a normal sized room in other major cities. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel staff were very friendly and addressed me by name which was impressive for such a short stay. The lobby bar was also very nice with a fireplace and lots of comfortable seating for post game wine and snacks. Times Square is just a 3 minute walk away which was also great for the obligatory Facebook "Here we are at Times Square" pics. I would highly recommend the Intercontinental at Times Square. We took the train into NYC, it was a very short cab ride over to the Intercontinental. The hotel was clean, modern and comfortable. There were tiny details I liked - such as plenty of outlets, a really nice shower, good lighting. We close to the theatres we were going to - the location couldn't have been better.

Cleanliness was not as it should be. Cigarette ashes on window sill even after speaking to housekeeping. Enjoyed Keurig coffee maker with French Roast. Concierge referred us to a steakhouse (Bobby V's) that was horrible. Hotel is 2 blocks from Time Square. Front Desk service was crude.

When I booked online, I asked for a high room with a nice view. They gave us a corner room on the 18th floor. There were 2 huge windows in the corner which gave us a view of the Hudson River. Room was great, the gym was well equipped and the restaurant and bar were very nice.

Amazingly comfortable and accessible to the city. Felt incredibly at home. Easy access to theatre district, stores, subway, food, etc. Kids loved the environment because it was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Very upscale. Will be going there again. It is very close to Times Square and the Theater District, without being right on Times Square. The lobby area is quite small and there is not really anywhere to sit or hang out, but the restaurant/bar area has a lot of great seating and the food (French cuisine) is quite good. There is a subway stop literally right outside the doors of the hotel. If you stay here in the winter, you must try the dark hot chocolate at the Shake Shack on the corner. My sister and I took my daughter and her friend to NYC to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. She wanted to be near Times Square so the location was perfect. It was great for the theaters and restaraunts too(46th street has a lot of great little restaraunts). I had requested a room on a higher floor for the view and when we checked in we were upgraded […] to an even higher floor with a "sky view". The room was perfect, my daughter loved the view! When I was told about the upgrade at the desk the clerk heard me say "happy birthday!" to my daughter and jotted down a little note telling me he was going to send something up for her. That night when we came back from a show there was a birthday dessert waiting for her in the room! She was delighted! We went her for my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday, it was the perfect location, and they made the special arrangments I asked for and even put a little cake in the room that said Happy Birthday. The wait was a little long to get into the room, we weren't able to check into our last room until 4:30 but it was worth the wait.

Stayed for the weekend in January to see a show and we were very impressed with the entire Intercontinental experience. Parking was very affordable directly across the street ($25 to self-park) and not even worry about your car for your stay. In addition, check in was great as we were greeted by one of the hotel managers right away and helped to the […] front desk/introduced to the hotel. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they upgraded our room from a very nice skyview king to a corner skyview king surrounded in windows on the 27th floor (although your windows look right out into parts of Times you could hardly, if at all, hear any street noise which was nice). In addition, the hotel had complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries sent up to us upon arrival for our anniversary. The hotel was just steps away from Times Square, the theater district, the subway, and only a handful of blocks to Central Park. We would stay there again without any hesitation. Read more
