2 bedroom suite was perfect for our family of 4. 2 steam showers as well, very nice after a day of skiing.

We had a king suite and the suite was beautiful... Great coffee machine amazing WiFi with a beautiful patio... Only thing missing was an iron in the room and the front room didnt have a remote for the TV... But it didnt bother us because we enjoyed the great patio and pool... Canmore is a great little town... Overall a great stay...

The Grande Rockies is a pleasant stay with large, clean rooms (no tubs), and a fun pool complex with an indoor/outdoor hot tub. Free wifi was a definite plus, but we found some of the functionality to be at a lost (with one day left, key cards to two different rooms no longer worked, which was a bit frustrating, and the basement of the "boutique" aka […] separate lodge was flooding the three days we were there). On the whole, it was a fine experience but for the convenience factor I'd likely pay a bit more and stay in Banff next time. Read more

I liked everything about this hotel except the location. When I booked it I mistakenly thought it was closer to Banff than it actually was. It turned out the place was in Canmore which is scenic but a little boring. Don't book this place if you want to be in of near Banff.

The room was nice enough, clean and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location of the hotel was odd, it backs up to another building that complete obstructed the views on one side. Based on our stay in other local hotels, you can get more for the same $$ in other locations in the area.

The customer service at this hotel and the hotel's restaurant was excellent. The ONLY drawback to our stay was a funky elevator in the building which our room was in. Sometimes the doors would not close for up to 2 minutes. Other times they would close as soon as you pressed the button. The elevator makes for good stories about a great trip to the Canmore/Banff/Lake […] Louise area. I've always stayed in Banff and this was the 1st time I've stayed in Canmore (5 miles east of Banff). I was quite impressed with this hotel. It was more like staying in a very nice apartment than a hotel. Great pool, big rooms. nice kitchen, flat screen TV's with Blu-Ray DVD. I would definitely stay here again.

The one bedroom condominium was spacious with a well equipped kitchen. Not much of a view from our room. Even though it was a holiday weekend, the room was quiet . No noise from inside or outside. The Grande Rockies Resort is in the final stages of construction, but what is there is absolutely outstanding. I booked this hotel on the back of reviews that I had read, not letting the fact that the hotel is new (and still under some construction in some places) put me off. Whilst initially it was a little awkward to work out exactly where the hotel entrance was (the hotel sign on the main road sits outside a standalone block that is currently still under […] construction. Maybe it is the intention for the reception area to move there?), the complex did not disappoint. The reception and bar area was very modern and subtle, with a large open window giving a view of the pool area and waterslide. What can I say about the room? Well, I booked a 2 bedroomed suite and was blown away by its facilities! Plently of room, all of the required kitchen and laundry items and 2 large bedrooms (one en-suite). As for the shower facilities - whilst it may appear that you need a degree to work the computer controlled shower out, it is well worth it when you do. All staff were very freindly and attentive and the hotel generally is very clean and well kept. Any minor issues? Well, to be picky, they could do with putting a sign above the hotel so you know exactly where to go to check-in. At present it has an apartment block feel about it and just needs some personal touches. The reception area could do with a sign above it and they may want to consider improving the changing area at the pool (there isn't really one - just a couple of single lavatories outside the pool area). The building is very new and there are some minor works taking place outside, but that does not cause any issues at all. The underground secure car park is also a bonus. All in all an impressive complex that will only get better. Read more

Well the first thing I said when I entered the hotel was "WOW". This hotel has a stunning lobby, and conveniently the swimming pool was right there. When we entered the hotel it was another "WOW" moment! The room had two T.V's a Blu-Ray player, all the need cooking utensils and much more! I recommend this hotel to EVERYONE!

Within 24 hrs of arrival we experienced over 10 problems! We had reserved and confirmed a crib before our arrival, the front desk also confirmed at checkin that it was all ready for us. It took 3 calls to actually have the crib delivered. The dishwasher was full, dishes in cupboards had food crusted on them so we had to prewash everything but there […] was no dishsoap provided (or soap in bathroom either). The room was 26 degrees with the patio and bedroom window wide open in March, we were brought a fan which didn't even turn on and told to "sleep with the door open" to cool off. The safe was closed (locked out) when we arrived and it took 2 complaints to have this corrected. The washroom sink backed up immediately with hair and makeup from previous guests. Again it two days to have this fixed properly. Our room was not cleaned after being out all day. no towels in the pool area, which also had the hottub closed one day (over a long weekend!). Twice we were locked out of our room-the housecleaner and front desk didn't even ask for a name or ID before they reissued access into the room. We had stayed here when this property first opened and experienced a few minor issues but decided to give it another try. I did speak with the front desk manager who was able to address most of the issues in a timely manner, however, the issues should not have been brought up in the first place. We are disappointed and frustrated to say the least. Read more

Unless you like using a pillow that is hard and has a 1 foot diameter, bring your own. I ended up using my ski pants and still have a sore neck trying to get through the first night. The room was very clean and although it was missing a mini Fridge and a few small things to pick at. OVerall it was a great stay and the spa was amazing giving me the best massage I have ever had. Room and floor 3 are in need of maintenance. Poorly designed and built. Room was filthy. Wifi didn't work and staff was unhelpful and apathetic. Hot water barely worked. Was on and off. Kitchen poorly equipped. No soap, etc. Definately would not classify as luxury.

My girlfriend and I spent the night in canmore, this hotel was great. The service was wonderful, the pool was fun, and the rooms were big and comfortable. The only small complaint is that the location is in literally on the wrong side of the tracks in town (the other side of the train tracks from main st).

We liked the idea of the kiddie pool for our toddler but it was at least two degrees below body temperature and he could not stay in there very long at all and neither could we. That was the biggest disappointment.

Hotel is a good location for families. There is a lot of wear and tear, in the rooms and the hallways. The parkade was terribly dusty -I realize it is a parkade, but at points it was hard to breath. The staff was great and helpful, and the pool area was fantastic.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time. Loved the indoor/outdoor hot tub! Our suite was gorgeous, very well equipped and the steam shower was amazing! The only down side was that we had to go out on the balcony to take in the beautiful mountains.

Fantastic service, whenever we needed something taken care of ie: calling a cab or finding a restaurant etc. they were right on top of it. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and were always happy to see that we were getting the service that we needed.
