"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel in the theatre district. Friendly and helpful staff. Basic room accomodations but very clean. Would recommend.

Great location. Near good bars and subway but request a room away from the annoying, loud elevator.

I had reservations for two rooms. I was told I only reserved one room. when I showed my confirmation he immediatly gave me a smaller room and did not tell me it was smaller. Neither room had any towels and the larger room had no shower curtain. I had to install it myself when I received it. I beleive I was cheated on the price of the sall room. The […] breakfast room only had skim milk and it was sour. Read more
"Good People"
We spent the night in Brooklyn then headed to a wedding in New Jersey. During our stay it was comfortable but the walls were paper thin, but you get what you pay for. Our rental car battery died on us twice when we were in the Brooklyn area and both times people were very nice with helping us (not even allowing us to pay them for a jump). The lady at […] the front desk was extremely considerate seeing as the checkout time was 11am but allowed us to keep the vehicle in the free parking lot for a few hours while we went out for lunch in Manhattan and did a little shopping. The beds were comfotable, the room was clean, the people were friendly.... only not so great thing was the amount of noise from the elevators and other guests. I would highly recommend it to anyone on a budget. Read more
"Pre-Valentine Day Stay - 2012"
Stayed at this hotel for one night with my Boyfriend and it was a very comfortable room and close to the Subway. The breakfast was as expected for the nightly rate. Overall nice & clean.

"La Quinta in Brooklyn, NY"
My friend and I shared a room at La Quinta which I chose because it was reasonably priced and about a mile from the Brooklyn academy of Music (BAM) where we had tickets for a dance performance. It was for only one night and although small, was clean and served our purpose.
Everything else was ok, except that the food nearly always run out during the breakfast. You could get more if you asked but you just need to know what to ask first.
Room is very small, bathroom door has a HUGE gap that doesn't allow for privacy. No nice resturant to eat at. Parking is terrible only FEW spaces available. Good breakfast and close to subway.

"great Hotel just a few subway stops from NYC"
Clean, comfortable. Desk staff very helpful, got us a car to Broadway within 10 minutes [ask for Isacc to drive you] I was a little nervous walking the 4 blocks to the subway, but the main streets were busy and I wasn't concerned. You can save a lot of money staying here! Free parking, decent breakfast [waffles!] and a Dunkin Donut one block down! Who […] could ask for more! Read more
"Good for one or two nights only"
The hotel is clean. Rooms are so small that the king bed almost take all the space in the room. It has free breakfast and free parking behind the building. Is pet friendly
"La Quinta Brooklyn"
This hotel, at first sight, seemed far removed, but it's close to coffee shops, restaurants and the F, Q & R subways are a mere 5 blocks away. I felt safe walking to and from the train. My room was very clean. The walls were a little thin, but I wasn't kept awake. For the rates a very choice.
"la quinta, brooklyn."
Everything was great except that there was no iron in the room, and the coffee mAchine did not work. But I slept very well and comfortable.
"Great Deal!"
The hotel is very new and everything looks good. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Even though the parking spots are few, if you are lucky you get to park for free without worrying about fines or crime. If you are not so lucky, most of the surrounding streets have free parking and the neighborhood seems quiet and safe. We walked from the […] subway to the hotel late at night, and it did not feel dangerous or anything. If you don't mind staying in Brooklyn this is a great hotel with a great price rate! Read more
"La Quinta Inn - 9th St Brooklyn"
This is a decent hotel, and if you have to stay in Brooklyn you could do alot worse. Its about 10 blocks from the Subway, but the place is nice, clean, has free internet and you don't feel like your staying in a dump. The rooms are really small but have all the latest conveniences - flat screen tv, fridge etc. The staff was very friendly as well.
"Pros and Cons"
Pros: Close to subway (F, G) - 4 blocks Quiet location (no traffic noise) Continental breakfast Comfy bed Free wi-fi in room Safe Brooklyn working class neighborhood Cons: Had to stay on them to get housekeeping to make up room Door mechanism broken - able to be pushed open without key Little eating space in breakfast area Thin walls between adjacent […] rooms Read more
"small but clean"
Good thing the 11 year old fit in the king size bed with us. This tiny room had no extra couch, but claimed to sleep three. Was nicely decorated and clean and convenient to the subway, however, and we spent most of out time out and about NYC.

The staff was consistently polite and helpful. The cleaning staff had not arrived at 11:00 am Friday morning, so there was no early check-in. There's no hotel bathroom for guests; the tiny locked general bathroom shares space with cleaning supplies. You can enjoy a walk up to Park Slope and Prospect Park. My room was in the hotel-named "basement," close […] to the loud-slamming stairwell door. These stairs (up to the lobby) shared space with the mops, brooms and other cleaning equipment. My subterranean room's windows faced the parking lot and needed the black-out curtains pulled for privacy, which meant no natural light. The mattress was hard enough to give me a back ache. The room became humid without the air conditioner on. The "business center" did not have a printer (for a boarding pass), and the staff's own printer was not working. It's near a subway stop. Convenient to our needs but traffic is crazy and entertaining! Watched traffic all night out our window. Hardly watched TV. The staff was very cordial. No microwave or refrigerator, or safe in the room. Within walking distance to Park Slope area which was great. The bed was very comfortable. Slightly smaller room than we are used to.
Clean room, close to Subway. Not the most happing part of Brooklyn for sure, but Prospect Park is close and a amazing coffee shop literally next door.

"La Quinta Inn - Brooklyn"
Great deal for the location. We were about 4 blocks from the subway into manhattan and didn't really explore the area around the hotel too much. Staff was nice. Shower head was broken when we first came and there seemed to be water damage all around the tub, but they fixed it right away. Overall, not a bad stay for the price and location! I would come […] back there again. Read more
"Stay was adequate, Park Slope location is good"
Our King size bed took up most of the room. As far as a comfort level, I'd give the bed a 5 out of 10. A/C was ok. Bathroom was adequate but entering through 2 closet type doors was interesting. Shower- power was poor, water temp was ok but the force of shower was poor and the drain in the tub was slow. The complimentary breakfast area was too small […] for the number of rooms. We visited on a Monday morning and the area was jammed with people, to the point where you couldn't easily get to a coffee pot or toaster and the seating area is very small. We walked across the street for breakfast. Linens ok, TV had a fair picture. Parking in rear of hotel (say approx 8-10 spaces) is not adequate for the number rooms. Location of the hotel is good for an easy walk to the restaurants and stores in Park Slope. Also a short drive to Prospect Park area. Read more
The room is ridiculously small.
"La Quinta Brooklyn-Downtown"
Satisfied with our hotel stay. We needed affordable housing for just one night, and this hotel was perfect for that. The subway was fairly close, though I would stay elsewhere if I was going to stay for multiple days and ride the subway frequently. The free parking on the street was nice. Free continental breakfast was okay; would've liked more than […] one cereal choice and one fruit choice. Yogurt was sitting out and not properly chilled. Overall a pleasant experience and would stay here again for 1 or 2 days. Read more
"If you don't mind staying in Brooklyn"
Hotel room is very nice. If you don't mind staying no where near the city. Plan on 45 mins to an hour train ride in, or a 35-40 cab ride. Hotel is very nice though. Staff was helpful as well.
"nice place"
nice place , good price but there is no microwave or minibar,
"Quiet and convenient in Park Slope"
I stayed at the LaQuinta downtown Brooklyn because it is convenient to my daughter's Park Slope apartment. I was transporting a truck packed with furniture and appreciated the security cameras overlooking the parking lot. The staff was courteous and helpful, my 6th floor room was quiet and well-kept, and the free breakfast, while not elaborate, was […] adequate. I will definitely stay there again while visiting in Brooklyn and will recommend it to others as well. Read more

"La Quinta-central in Bklyn"
Hotel is brand new , well appointed. The only thing I didn't like was the dripping of the rain on the air conditioner. Otherwise, it was very clean, good breakfast.
"Great stay, even for tourists"
For the money, you won't find a room this nice anywhere in Manhattan. No it's not in the best area. But the neighborhood is safe, and if you're a tourist visiting NYC, you're not going to be spending time there anyway. Hop on the N or R train three blocks away, and you'll be in the throbbing heart of Manhattan before you know it. You'll be riding subways […] all day in Manhattan, so one more ride won't kill you, right? The building is brand new, the front desk was all smiles and the room was immaculate. The rooms aren't huge, of course—you're still in the NYC area, but they're bigger than most of the shoeboxes you'll find in Manhattan, with plenty of room to stretch out. I peeped the breakfast (served from 6am-9am), but did not partake. I'm pretty much a coffee only guy in the mornings. Oh, and it's pet friendly! There was no extra fee/deposit for our pooch when we stayed there. Nice. Read more
"Good find in Brooklyn"
The hotel does not look like much from the outside, but the staff was very helpful, and it is only 4 short blocks from the subway to Manhattan. The room was a little cramped for the four of us, but we felt safe and there was a great inexpensive Italian restaurant across the street. Parking on hotel property was a big plus and hard to find at other hotels. […] Neighborhood was quiet enough that noise never bothered us. Would highly recommend for those who want a reasonably priced hotel 15 minutes from Manhattan. Read more
"Hotel near brooklyn cruise terminal"
Convenient location for the cruise terminal, good breakfast but need to be taken early (buffet did not provide items for some of our group that got up late). Also the additional roll away bed that we request was not provided. Parking was available and is free on the street. Parking place on hotel reserved parking is limited.

"Not Happy"
when we reserved the room, we were told that it accommodates 4 people, It barely accommodated 2 adults and 1 child. We were supposed to have a roll away bed, it was not available. When it did become available, there was no room for it. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom has french doors which is also tiny inside. No refridgerator or microwave in the […] rooms. The room near the elevator was noisy. No room during the continental breakfast. Only one friendly desk clerk. The sink dripped. The room was crammed, no space. Only parking for about 7 cars. We were not happy at all. We do not recommend for more than 2 people and only one overnight stay. Read more
"Two Days of No Service"
Hotel is nice, and staff friendly, but service can suffer. Here are the downsides of my last stay. I returned to my room around 9 pm and found it had not been cleaned, bed was left unmade, etc. Called down and spoke to night desk who said they ensure it was taken care of. I confirmed they would do this the next morning, but alas, same story when I […] returned to my room at 9 the next night - so no service for two days. The breakfast buffett is spotty - some mornings yogurt, others no-yogurt. Both coke machines were out/broken for my last stay. I continue to stay here - price is right, staff is nice, and the location is convenient to the F train. Read more

"Great deal for New York"
We were extremely happy with this hotel and will definitely stay there again. The staff was both friendly and attentive, and the rooms were spotless and well equipped although small. Parking was free and we found spaces behind the hotel or on the street. Our only problem was the two little dogs who moved in next door and barked incessantly. It was explained […] to me that the hotel has a dog floor and because that was overbooked, guests with pets moved in next to us. Staff tried to do what they could to notify the pet owners that we had complained. So, I'd advise requesting a non-pet floor, unless you are the guests with the animals. Otherwise, a real find. "La Quinta - Brooklyn"
Our second stay at La Quinta. Thay have free parking for a limited number of cars on a first-come basis. Suggest you park and then use taxis or public trans during your stay. They accept dogs which was a "must" for us. Overall, hotel is new and clean. Complementary breakfast is so-so but there are other places in neighborhood for breakfast within a […] 2 block radius. About a 5 minute walk to the F-train to Manhattan and 10 minute walk to Propect Park (Brooklyn's version of Central Park). Good value. Read more

Decent accomodatins; skethcy neighborhood. Liked the b'fast buffet. Think the price is a bit much for the area, but it's NYC.

"Perfect home base to see the city"
This was the best ho9tel stay I have ever had. Very clean room with down blankets and pillows, air conditioning, bathtub, hot morning waffles, extremely nice staff. The neighborhood is within walking distance to Prospect Park, and very good (for New York). Subway stops are blocks away and it takes half an hour to get anywhere you want to be (central […] park, ect). The bed was THE most comfortable I have experienced in a hotel. I felt comfortable in every aspect. The rooms are small because it is in New York, but well designed and thoughtfully run. Never heard anyone next door and minimal neighborhood noise. 9th ave is close and has everything you might need in a pinch. The price was perfectly fair for being in the city and being so well maintained. I really was impressed. Read more
"Only 22 minutes to Village by subway - New hotel"
The hotel is newly constructed, and it shows. Staff is minimal, but highly motivated, courteous, and helpful. Rooms are surprisingly spacious for New York. Furniture and beds were of very high quality. An 8-minute walk to subway, (a local stop), then one switch to D (express) and you are at W. 4th St. in Manhattan in 22 minutes (plus the walk), and […] at Columbus Circle in 28. Neighborhood is nondescript but safe, and beginning to show many renovations a la Park Slope. Traffic is relatively light so noise is also commensurately light. TV picture did not work most of the time and was not corrected. Hot water pressure in shower was terrible. "Continental" breakfast was of high quality with no corner-cutting. There is only very limited storage for baggage when you check out, so if you wish to return later that day to pick it up, it may not be possible. Read more
