must be the largest and most luxurious hotel room in all of vail... new, clean, incredibly comfortable, all consistent with four seasons quality. only drawback is that extra block or two walk into town, but that's a marginal complaint at best... simply a fantastic hotel.

Ok its early December so Vail is not that busy - couple of issues: Went to the restaurant at 935pm - there were two people in the restaurant - we were told by the front desk to go ahead and go downstairs to be seated. When we arrived the maitre d told us we would not be seated because we were 5 minutes after the seating. She asked me to confirm this […] by telling me to check my phone for the exact time - 933pm. Obviously the front desk did not communicate with the restaurant. Plus this is a 5 star hotel and the guest is king right? Not so much at the restaurant. We asked for an extended check out to 2pm - 2 hours after the regular checkout - as we were wanting to use the spa facilities and did not want to rush - the front desk person told me to check out at 12 noon and then we could leave our bags with the bellman as the showers were nicer in the spa anyway...This is a 5 star hotel - not so much. Plus the hotel was desolate. Finally the lounge - we ordered drinks and bar food - its bar food so the expectation was not high - the sliders were cold and dry but the lobster tacos were good. Drinks were good but the staff was marginal. In fact her presence at the table was that we were more of a bother than a guest. I own three different companies and if my employees treated my clients this way they would not be working for me. Kudos to the people who keep the hotel clean - it was superb as was our turn down assistant. Read more

we had to call 3 times to get a hairdryer. and 2 times to get an iron.why are these things not working in the room? dialed housekeeping, got no answer every time i called. concierge apologized, yet it still took 20 minutes for the hairdryer to arrive AFTER THE THIRD CALL. we were late for dinner reservations. stay at the Arrabelle. same cost, way way […] way better customer service. four seasons denver is awesome.. vail. very over rated. will NOT stay here again. This is the second year that we have chosen to stay here for Thanksgiving getaway as we had wonderful memories here last year. This year however, there was lack of service from the moment we arrived. There was no welcome greeting as one would expect of a 5 star hotel. The staff at entrance asked if we were staying there and when we said yes, they just […] asked us to proceed to check in, without even showing the way or helping with our luggage! After check in, there was no bell boy to assist us with luggage! There was only one chair on balcony and even after requesting for another chair, it did not arrive. The hotel is right at the ski lift area. The village is steps away for food/entertainment etc. Valet and bellmen were terrific(well trained and courteous). We loved every minute we were there!

This beautiful hotel was unfortunately designed into its available space in the shape of a U around its pool. Any music, conversation, splashing, maintenance or horseplay in the pool area is magnified and amplified. This lead us to having to close our sliding door of our "mountain view" suite (if you craned your head far enough out of the balcony, you […] could see a section of mtn.) all the time, when all we went to Vail for was fresh air and cooler temperatures. VERY disappointed. Although the front desk staff was friendly enough, the hotel still gave a very impersonal feel. We made 10:30 reservations for the breakfast buffet, which they took, only telling us that it closes at 10:15 when we arrived for it. An obvious lack of staff training. This is new construction, so perfectly lovely, but they will try to extract every penny they can from you to cover their costs, including their time share sales of their 2.7 million dollar properties! Go elsewhere, and have a better stay than we did. Read more

Having worked in the luxury hotel business, I was surprised by the lack of staff in the main areas. Doorman assistance was limited (if at all) much of the time (we had to pry the door open because the doorman was standing against it -- without an apology from him as we walked through). The Front Desk staff was lovely but with the Front Desk out of sight […] upon entry, we were forced to roll our bags back and forth until we found it to the far left of the hotel. The spa experience made the visit well worth it -- a true indulgence with skilled professionals doing the treatments. Our room was extremely spacious with a fireplace, which added that special touch of Vail charm. While the housekeeping staff was quick to respond to our needs, our turndown attendant walked in without warning. Overall, I would return to the Four Seasons Vail but our visit had its share of disappointments. The staff to guest ratio left us wandering a bit too often whereas at other five-star properties, I have felt my needs were anticipated at all times. Read more

What a great time. The ski concierge is perfect as is the rest of the service here. Our room was large an perfect... Quality everywhere... Even the coffeemaker in the room is a Nespresso. My partner visited the spa for a post ski massage and raves about it. This is absolutely where we will stay next time we're in vail.

We went in the off season. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was our first time staying at a Four Seasons and perhaps our expectations were too high - while the service was top notch, i feel like it missed that little extra that you want from a 5 star hotel. For example, turn down service came with water, but no mints or chocolate. […] Staff were helpful in responding to questions (when we asked about what to do since it was the off season) but then pointed us to newspapers instead of offering to check on events that might be occurring on our behalf. It was definitely a great hotel, but these are some of the little touches that should distinguish a hotel of this caliber but are not quite there yet. It is a Four Seasons Hotel after all. The attention to detail is amazing and their service is very good. We also had a baby and asked for crib. They brought the crib WITH a small "cosmetic" set for the baby (shampoo, creams, lotions, powder, etc..), a teddy bear, and diapers of all sizes. It was not skiing season but there is a Ski Concierge available […] on site. The pool was relaxing and service was great. I highly recommend it. Read more

We had a lovely stay at the Four Seasons in Vail. We were welcomed and escorted from the minute we arrived until we were settled. Our room was elegant and suited the mountain experience. Pool was so nice after a long hike off lionshead. We ate at Flame first night with companion deal -bogo- the lobster and tenderloin were very good, the sides were ok. […] We were happy for the 'deal'. Down sides were the sunken bed that raised up in the middle, the too thick feather comforter and bath tub shower hose that leaked on the floor which we were unaware of before we nearly slipped, and having to call for room cleaning when we came back around 1pm. They came early at 8:30am when we were getting ready. Guess you have to call if you want maid serv after that. If we hadn't had an off season deal these negative would of been a bigger deal. We had a wonderful time all in all and would suggest this Four Seasons. Read more

In consideration of rates paid for this new Four Seasons, our entire stay was a definite disappointment. We had to call for new pillow sheets, they were not changed the next day, the bed was not done right. We called room service to bring in a trash can . Dry clean service was horrible, white shirt came back pink, too late to find or buy another shirt […] for dinner meeting. They didnt offer a trip to the village to get another one. Breakfast buffet selection was nothing short of horrible. Breakfast was equivalent to Hampton Inn at the FourSeasons price. This Four Season should be called two seasons and a half. On top of all that, I was doubled charged. My Stay was prepaid to Expedia, FourSeasons charged my American express again. Read more

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. The Staff were lovely and the rooms were huge with a very tasteful design. The pool is very attractive and surrounded by flowers.
