No complaints about the Hotel or Staff. There is a nice 24 hr Deli across the road. Room was about what I expected for the price. The imediate neighborhood was a bit dirty but I felt safe enough. I wouldn't recomend it for families with young kids. I would stay there again. It's a bit old school but that was kid of cool too. I do Love NY.

It is well situated for one to get around New York.A short walk or cab ride, to most places that you would want to see in the City. For the "urbanite" the subway is about a block away. Only 6 stops from SoHo. To really enjoy this Hotel get the Bigger rooms/Business suites on the higher floors. Some of the views aren't great but the layout is worth the few extra dollars. F.G. The landmark Brooklyn Bridge links Manhattan with the city’s most populous borough. Waterfront Brooklyn Heights offers superb views of Lower Manhattan. Renowned for its brownstones and leafy neighborhoods, Brooklyn embodies America’s “melting pot.” Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Jewish communities add to the cultural mix. Reception night staff could take some pointers from day staff- however overall satisfactory. Concierge: very pleasant and helpful. Very impressed with service staff in club lounge-especially the lady who was new on the job but handled the crowds plus the fact that they ran out of food at breakfast; like a professional. The Grubstake restaurant staff […] is awful-they appear to be busy all the time but don't get anything done. We were contantly being promised our drinks and cutlery, etc but would have to ask another 3 or 4 times before it arrived. Food was also terrible!!! Read more

"Reasonable place to stay in Brooklyn"
Fairly close to several subway stops and very clean room. Not many services close to hotel. Neighborhood a bit deserted early in the morning. Recommend if you just need a place to sleep. Had an odd experience where the maid didn't make the bed because we'd left a backpack on the bed...did receive breakfast coupon in exchange.
Thank you so much for your kind review about a clean room and our great staff. I'll be certain to pass these words along to the team.
1 response by Sheraton Brooklyn New York Hotel"Great Brooklyn Hotel with Easy Access to Manhattan"
Hotel is well-kept and the rooms are slightly larger than the average NYC hotel. For those who love the feel and energy of Brooklyn but have to have easy access to Wall Street and the rest of Manhattan, it's a great option. I'll be back in NY on business in the next few weeks, and this is where I'll be staying! It's close to Fulton Street Mall stores […] and restaurants and also close to a number of different lines for the subway. It was a little difficult for our taxi driver to find using his gps, so beware of that. It also has a great lap pool and gym. I also hear the lounge was great, but didn't experience it for myself. I'm looking forward to doing just that when I return. Read more
"Lovely Stay"
Had a great experience at the Sheraton hotel. Though the room was smaller, compared to other Sheraton hotels, it was still comfortable overall. Had a great time using the pool and fitness room. Only downside is that there is a fee to use the wifi in your room. However, the lobby has free wifi and computers that are accessible to guests, so that wasn't […] so bad. Would definitely stay here again if I get the same affordable rate I did this time. Read more

"Comfortable hotel with easy access to surroundings"
This is a very comfortable hotel in Brooklyn. The bed was very comfy, and the hotel is on a quiet street just off a main shopping road - which is good as when your in your room you can't hear the noise and feel away from the hustle and bustle. The subway station is about a 1 minute walk from the hotel and gets you into Manhattan quickly (10-20 mins) […] or JFK airport (30-40 mins). You can also walk to the other parts of Brookly or train it there. We walked to the Brooklyn bridge in about 25 minutes. The only downsides were: - not the nicest neighbourhood. I felt safe walking around late at night but wouldn't hang out there as not many nice restaurants/cafes/shops. - pool is not open all day - only mornings and evenings. All in all it was a pleasant stay, comfy room and the hotel staff were polite and helpful! Read more

"View of Lady Liberty!"
A lovely hotel experience -- gigantic, cushy bed, effective heating/air conditioning, great shower. Best of all, though, was the view of Lady Liberty from our room on the 24th floor. A totally solid hotel; not badly priced (for NYC), easy to get to, conveniently located, a few blocks from fun bars and delicious brunch places. I totally recommend it […] . Read more

Good hotel for people who find where to stay in Brooklyn , clean , and safe. Not easy find a cab if you go Manhattan late night or if you want to return to the hotel.

"Sheraton Brooklyn just off Flatbush"
New hotel in an improving neighborhood. Lobby is a little crowded with the business center and a small registration area right as you walk into the lobby. A little difficult to find the hotel on a one way street.
"Sheraton Brooklyn"
Brooklyn calls with so many good restaurants and interesting neighborhood walks. We were pleased to find a hotel in the heart of Brooklyn, but a bit disappointed to find out we were in the midst of an out door shopping mall kind of neighborhood. Though there are many subway stations nearby to whisk you to a destination, it would have been nice to be […] able to just walk out the door and explore. The desk staff of this hotel are all helpful, cheerful and professional. Unfortunately, the bar was understaffed and we waited a long time without being served. If this hotel was in a livelier neighborhood we would have checked out the local eateries. However, given that we were stuck inside during a snowstorm and that there's not too much around the hotel we were saddled with poor service and a poor selection of refreshments. The room was clean but small. The king sized bed was huge making the room feel even smaller. Read more
"Sheraton Hotel Brooklyn"
Nice hotel with lovely rooms and comfortable furnishings. I would not recommend the neighbourhood after dark to lone females as it is quite intimidating. Be warned about the black taxis that sit outside the hotel, they don't have meters and the fares are three times more than yellow cabs. The black cabs are operated by local gypsie gangs. Yellow cabs […] do drop at the hotel or usually can be found around the corner driving up and down Jay Street. Read more

"Nice hotel in OK location"
I am very familiar with this part of Brooklyn, and this is a very nice hotel in an OK location. I only say that because I wouldn't want to be in that area alone on LATE nights. But I would definitely stay there again.

"Clean and New but Disorganized and Sub-functional"
The hotel was new and clean - it just seemed disorganized. First the room keys did not work - twice. Then the TV in the room worked in the afternoon - but not that evening or the next morning. When we called to inquire, they mentioned something vague about the TV company working on it - apparently unsuccessfully while we were there - yet the TV in the […] Lobby worked. The vending machine on our floor was either turned off or not functioning, so grabbing a cold drink was difficult. I also never say a bartender in the small Lobby Bar - nor did they have that coffee station up and running in the morning (you could buy coffee to go in the restaurant though). All together - it was disappointing in a lot of little ways - but very good on the most important things - room comfort and cleanliness and very friendly Reception staff. Read more
"Sheraton Brooklyn"
Room was clean, if a bit on the small side, Staff on the whole were friendly, especially the lady on reception when we arrived the Sunday before Labor Day. She was extremely harrassed, trying to run the reception on her own but still made us feel very welcome. Hotel is in a street that is very run down, however there are signs that this area is being […] regenerated. Subway stations are at the end of the street for easy access to central NY. However on the roof of the hotel is a roof terrace that comes alive from 10pm to 3am! This can be very noisy if you are on floor 20 and above!! Didn't eat in the hotel but Juniors restaurant is close by (excellent cheesecake!) and also well worth a visit is the Diner on the corner of Smith St opposite the stacking car park - they do great breakfasts! "The Sheraton Brooklyn New York Hotel"
Nice hotel with an easy commute to SoHo. Will stay there again!
Very convenient to Manhattan and nearby restaurants.... Buses and trains were also nearby. Hotel was clean. My club room was fantastic. The complimentrary breakfast was a plus..
"Terrible"
So far the worst hotel we ever stayed at. They just opened a new club on the roof and the music was so loud it was vibrating our room. Also I had to exchange keys twice because we couldn't get to our floor or our room because of the electronic keys. Just terrible....
"Don't Eat in the Restaurant"
Stay in the hotel - don't eat in the restaurant. The waiter we had for dinner service was both pushy and patronizing, If we had wanted soup with our Caesar salads, we would have ordered soup. Someone shoudl tell the waiter that the customer is always right - even if she wants to order dessert while her mother is eating her salad!
"Sheraton Hotel Brooklyn--Fabulous"
This hotel has it all: beautiful rooms, wireless, great staff, in-hotel coffee bar. Every detail of the rooms is perfect, from bedding to bathrooms. Only caveat (and this is NOT the fault of the hotel) several road changes in the neighborhood (no turns, one-way, do-not-enter) have made it difficult to reach the hotel by car. Be sure to call ahead for […] detailed driving directions. Read more
"Sheraton Brooklyn New York"
Was quite surprised to find a good hotel in Brooklyn at such an affordable price. Very close to subways which makes getting into Manhattan a breeze. Worth the trip over to Brooklyn rather than paying Manhattan prices.
This hotel was very clean. The only problem was that it was very hard to find. Our driver tried his best but he had a difficult time with the location. Once we arrived it was a good choice.
"A convinient place to stay visiting Manhattan"
Clean and decent rooms. No fridge and no microwave but they are not tiny rooms you find in Manhattan for the same price. Very convenient. Ten minutes to Wall Street and twenty minutes to Time Square by subway. Close to more than one subway station and to Brooklyn Bridge if you are up to the walk. The down sides are the crazy elevators, the overpriced […] breakfast and the pool being closed to early. Read more
"Very mixed experience"
While the room itself was clean and comfortable, the hotel location and service were poor. our key failed to work in our dorr 3 times in 2 days and as we stayed on the 17th floor, had a significant wait each time to get into our room. Also, we were genuinely concerned for our safety as we walked from the subway to the hotel and it is very difficult […] to get taxi service from Manhattan. The valet parking is horrible, as it costs $25 per day for self parking, which involves a dangerous walk through a construction area or $39 for true valet service. Read more
"Great hotel, good location"
Newly built hotel with a good location in Brooklyn. Valet parking and several self parking options close by if you arrive with a car. Several subway stations/lines within a few minutes walk from the hotel. Nice, clean rooms, good beds and friendly and helpful staff made our stay very nice. Definately an option to consider when visiting New York.

its walking distance to many restaurants as well as a shopping plaza. I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very pleasant and i will go back anytime!!

Excellent Hotel - staff and service were great. Nice cozy room for what we paid for. Convenient location, just a stop away on the subway from Manhattan. Would stay here again :)
"Convenient, Clean"
Room was clean, simple and quick to the 456 tunnels. The gym is nice and the lobby has many computers available. The room was not very spacious, but the beds and comforters were top notch. Overall it was a quiet place to sleep after tromping around the city all day. If you want good cleaning, give your daily tips directly to your housekeeping person […] who should have a cart on your floor each day. Otherwise it just ends up in the pocket of some random staff person who goes around each floor with access keys and takes it. Read more

"Awful"
My main complaint about this hotel is that they did not protect our privacy. We were staying at the hotel because of a wedding and a significant number of our family were staying there too. We were on west coast time and wanted to sleep in, so we kept our room number a secret. Not only did the hotel staff give my in-laws our room number, they let them […] onto our floor (each floor could only be entered by an individual with a key card on that floor.) We were all woken up with pounding on the door at 7:00 a.m. My baby was tired and grumpy all day, it was awful. Read more

"Sheraton Duffield was average"
Seemingly good location- but not close to any high end shopping. Loved some of the walking distance neighborhoods- Cobble Hill was great- nice restaurants and shops. The area around the hotel was a little sketchy... And the hotel staff at the front desk were okay... nothing to brag about. Acted somewhat not interested in your questions. I would recommend […] this hotel but I am sure there are others better located. Read more

"good hotel"
only issue we had was the pool hours changed on us. my 5 year old really wanted to swim in the morning and they changed it from 7am to 10am, and then we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the lifeguard to get in there. otherwise, a good hotel close to public transit.
"Nice hotel at convenient Brooklyn downtown locatio"
This was a modern, clean, and very pleasant hotel. The room was somewhat small but absolutely fine for the night I was staying there. I had gotten a fantastic rate on the room and so this was really a great deal. The hotel is only one block away from the Hoyt Street metro, which connects via the 2 and 3 lines directly to Times Square (about 20 minutes). […] I always go into town for Broadway shows so this is a really good location for that. The area was fine during the day time but the streets were pretty deserted at night since all shops were closed. Since the hotel was only one block from the metro that did not bother me too much but I was also not too enticed to walk around too much. Overall, then, an absolutely fine choice especially when it is on sale. Read more
"Great Hotel for price and location"
We stayed in early May and found it to be in a transitional neighborhood. Close to the subway and some shopping, lots of neighborhood places to eat. The hotel staff was great, the hotel itself was new and clean. I travel frequently for my job and found this hotel to be more than satisfactory.
