ROSES HOTEL CAVALLUCCIO MARINO - Roman Coast

This was a good place to stay for one night prior to your cruise from Rome. It is less than 1/2 mile from the port. Clean, good breakfast, friendly staff. Was very clean. Pretty long uphill walk from the train station thought. Taxis are available from the train station to the hotel.

The hotel is really a home that has been converted into a four room bed and breakfast. The rooms are large and comfortable and the breakfast is plentiful. The best part about the place is the fact that you are given a key to the building and can come and go as you see fit. Although you can call for any help you may need, you are left on your own which I loved. The hotel is close to restaurants and walking distance from the cruise port as well as the railroad station. The rooms were usually full and the people we saw in four nights there were from the US and between cruises or they had arrived too late to catch their cruise. The neighborhood was very pleasant and good for walking. There was a grocery store about four blocks away. The Villa Susanna charges half of less what the hotels in the city do and is a good place to stay. It isn't luxurious or elegant. But the rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a kitchen with a fridge and microwave where you can prepare things in the evening. One of the rooms will hold four people. There is a small, pleasant porch off the kitchen where you can have breakfast. The hotel allows credit cards only for people who have made arrangements ahead of time.

Spent the night here before leaving on NCL Jade cruise. Great overnight stop with nice breakfast and shuttle to the port. Would go back if we cruise from here again. To far to walk from train terminal but taxi service is inexpensive.

Miramar is a lovely seaside retreat in a surprisingly lovely area. We enjoyed walking to a small market. The only problem was a minor one with the elevator not working for a short time. But since we are on the second floor, this was not much of a problem.Highly recommended.

Ideally located between the train station and the port where the Norwegian ship sailed from. Very helpful front desk staff, and quite nice breakfast buffet, with espressos and cappuccinos upon order, included.
