There are steps at the hotel entrance, and no bell carts, but the hotel desk clerk not only helped me get all my luggage up the steps but also up to my room. My room was very large and comfortable and the bed and bedding were nice too. There were lovely smelling shampoo and soaps, a Keurig coffemaker, and 2 complimentary bottles of water in the fridge. […] It was cold out and the heat (thermostat) worked great! The free WiFi worked great, too. I came up here to see a Meat Loaf concert (fantastic!) across the street, and if ever I'm in London, ON again, I'll stay at the Hotel Metro! Read more

Just the type of boutique hotel London needs. The prices through online travel services were very competitive with the hotels I usually stay at in London too. Excellent location. Rooms modern and well appointed, except no mini-bar. I also has trouble with the WiFi in my room, but not elsewhere on the property.

Everything is close to the Hotel. Almost accross the street form John Labatt Centre and the Farmers Market. Also close to many food options and entertainment. I can't talk enough about the cleanliness of the hotel and room. I stayed in one of the smallest rooms, but the high ceilings alongside the room layout made it seem quite roomy,

The open concept does not work for us, as noted above. The front desk didn't give clear instruction on where to park and that resulted in a parking ticket. The decor is attractive but non-functional.

The contemporary design is attractive but it seems to be the work of someone who has never actually stayed in a hotel room. E.g., no place to hang towels in the shower room. No place for soap or shampoo. Bedside lamps don't give enough light to read in bed. Additional lights above the bed are not plugged in and there's no extention cord, so they can't […] reach the socket. No closet in the room. No rack for a suitcase. The front desk and room service phone numbers don't respond at night. And London is a 50 min. drive from Stratford -- much too far. As we couldn't get a room in Stratford for Shakespeare, we opted for London and the Metro. And are very glad we did. If we go again next year, will stay here again. Rooms are massive and highly styled. One caveat, open tub and shower floor-plan makes it not suitable for the modest!

They have an absolutely wonderful staff, who were helpful in every way. The location was perfect for our needs. Everywhere we wanted to go was an easy walk. The rooms are nicely furnished. The high ceilings and windows offered a wonderful view, while still affording us privacy. The location across from Covent Garden Market made it easy to stock fresh fruit in our room and get a wonderful coffee and maybe a treat on days that we did not utilize room service. This hotel had the feel of a loft, with open shower and bathtub. The only faults were the lack of security box and the window overlooked a skylit conference room. The location was excellent to London's downtown. The room was large, clean and quiet.

A welcome change from typical hotel stays. Modern and chique with a very accommodating staff. My husband and I had a room with a king bed. The bath area is open to the rest of the room (except the toilet). The heating system was loud and woke us up a couple of times. Also, the tile floors needed a good scrub.

I found this hotel as a deal on Expedia, the price and location were right. However there are better hotels that I could have chosen in the area for a similar price as the "deal" i got on Expedia. Parking is not on site at the hotel. This is not clear on the hotel's Expedia profile, their website, or when I called after driving around lost. The closet […] parking is at the Covent Garden Market, which is on a different one way street from the street the hotel is one. This should have been published and easily communicated on the phone, by the staff. Check in was a painful process after the 30 minute ordeal of downtown London's one way streets and the lack of clear directions, the front desk staff were absent. They were gone for at least 15 minutes before returning to greet us and we could check in. The interior of the hotel was alright, but could have used some fresh pain and to touch up some damaged walls. The room was nice. It was a fair size and had a comfortable bed. I enjoyed the k-cup coffee maker that was stocked with 3 different flavor k-cups. I would not stay at this hotel again. If the parking was better communicated and the staff more attentive, this boutique hotel has the potential to be a 4 star hotel. Read more

This is one of those sad "could have been great" stories. The location is perfect. A stones throw away from anything you want to see in London. Problem is - the hotel is filthy and getting worse. We checked in and found an indescribable mess in the TOILET in our room. Never seen anything like it. Not very happy. No onsite parking. They provide directions on how to get to the underground parking. Valet parking only on their convenience not to the customer. Drunks in the lobby. Puke in the elevator. People fighting in front of hotel. Not a very good location for older adults or families. I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a unique modern refurbished micro hotel. Modern open design very close to the John Labatt Center. We have stayed twice and got the same room. Even downtown facing Dundas, the room was very quite and the hotel was very quite After our show we stopped at the restaurent and enjoy a drink and desert. We will try them for dinner next time

Housekeeping simply didn't show up one day, and on the next they removed the half-used soap and shampoo from the bathroom without leaving new ones. We stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night as my wife and I decided to go "clubbing" in London. The location is perfect, right downtown in the hub of things...plenty of stuff going on in the streets! The hotel is very unique...the ceilings are close to 15ft high and the rooms are an open concept. By open I mean that it is one open room...the only […] separate room is for the toilet. The bathtub is out in the open and so is the shower....both in full view of the bed. The shower is cool...the shower head hangs from the high ceiling and gives you a "rain shower" as the water falls straight down on you. The room we had faced a busy street...the windows were about 10ft tall which really opened up the room. The floors were a bit creaky, you could really hear people walking around in the room above you. We asked for ice to the room and it came almost immediately in an ice bucket which stayed cold all night! Overall I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for something different...it is unique, but the best part is its location in London! Read more

Litany of complaints. First, it's a VERY STYLISH and COOL place. That's where it ends. HVAC drowns out the TV. Honest. Loudest system ever. Kept me awake at night. At there couldn't be a scrap of insulation coz it comes on every 5 minutes and stays on for 5 minutes. It was an extremely hot period (high 30s) but c'mon! And the thermostat is in F only. […] I had to get out my calculator to figure out what temperature i wanted. :( A window that opens; great! No screen? C'mon. Clock was busted. Phone blinked a message (a laser beam onto the ceiling I was staring at coz of the HVAC) incessantly, even tho I had none. Instructions for phone did not match the phone model. Wifi wasn't working but can't contact Rogers after 6pm... huh? No really, I'm serious. Bathroom door doesn't close without scraping on the floor. Lighting is horrible! Nice desk, no lighting anywhere near it so can't use it after sundown. C'mon! Lovely rainforest showerhead. Two of my three mornings it was facing the wall. I'm not tall. I had to get a chair from the desk and bring it to the shower and stand on it to straighten the showerhead. Must be a cleaning crew thing... but c'mon! Pillows are HUGE. Nice touch but you can't sleep with your head on them. Way too big... Bathroom sink very stylish but again, I'm not tall and I really had to bend over quite a bit to reach it when brusing my teeth. This is a very interesting and unique hotel with tremendous upside and potential. Execution falls FAR SHORT of potential, unfortunately. FIx the little things guys and you''ve got a winner. There is no parking-very confusing set up. There are 5 spots in front of the hotel which are shared with the very popular market across the street in order to check in (only 30 min limit which is pay parking) From there you have to drive around the market to park underground which is $10.00/day with no in/out privileges. This also means you must carry […] your luggage through the parking lot and up four cases of stairs to street level and then cross the street to the hotel. I kid you not. The hotel and rooms are very modern, clean and nice however there is no privacy in the room. Defionetely not a family hotel but catered more towards urban and sophisticated couples who enjoy all that downtown has to offer (which is a lot) The bathroom is all open with no door other then to the toilet which is placed in a dark room (very cell like) There is also no pool or recreational facilities. Overall, London was a pretty dirty city with just average attractions and sightings. Not really worth visiting again unless to see family or friends (Our reason for travelling there) There are a few good shops, night life and restaurants downtown, however there are also a lot of bums and young kids loitering. (Not a very classy downtown atmosphere) Other then that our stay was very enjoyable and the staff was very helpful and polite. Read more

Close to all downtown amenities including a block from the John Labatt Center. The room was of good size, very clean with modern fixtures. There is a restaurant that you can access from the main lobby for convenience. Valet parking is also available. It is located on a short one way street so a bit difficult to find.
