The village is a cool hotel. The rooms are not huge but the walk in shower and huge TV make up for that. I have stayed on both the upper deck and a normal room. the upper Deck gets you a bit more in the room. The restaurant is good and the breakfast is fantastic. It was great staying here! The halls are narrow. Smart designer, adds room in the hotel rooms. The service in the bar was a teeny bit slow, but it's the UK, and a Sunday, so no worries. Rooms were clean, dinner was excellent, and a nice stop on the way out of London. Free parking and friendly service!!

The Village Farnborough is a nice place to stay. The rooms are London sized, but big enough. Our 22 year old actually slept on the pull out single for a few days and it was ok. The hotel is neat and clean but rooms over the Verve and party rooms can be noisy. The food is the bar is reasonable and ok taste wise. You won't get kleenex, or shampoo but […] you will get body wash. If you have to stay in Farnborough, which means you will be pretty bored, this is a good place to stay. If you have to stay this far from London, stay in Camberley which is bigger and has movies and a mall. It will take you at least an hour and 25 gbp to get to anywhere decent in London. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the train station, which is ok unless it's O degrees C and snowing out, which it was when we were there. The Swan Inn is a great pub to eat at nearby, other wise there's not too much within walking distance. Read more

After paying for upgrade to Upper Deck ..... The dust around and under the window was very thick as it was around the bed! The mattress was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. I went to the expensive Bar at 10.15pm to find the customers 3 deep and only one barmaid.....who was washing glasses! I love staying at De Vere, and this was no different. Unfortunately as Farnborough is quite a small place, the bar got absolutely rammed after 5pm and I had to wait ages to get served (small bar and not that many staff). Other than that, cant fault it. Modern clean hotel but leisure club has restricted hours for families which are not good for early morning family swims. Restrictions are disclosed but buried in the hotels web pages. Good for regular club users but not hotel guests choosing the hotel for its facilities.

The hotel was OK for an overnight stay but I expected more for the price I paid. The room was generally clean with the facilities that you would require although the glasses in the bathroom were both dusty/dirty. In places, the rooms look like they could do with an upgrade - e.g. the wood next to the bed has ring marks from hot drinks. Breakfast was […] poor. This is served in the restaurant but I felt that this was too small for the number of guests in the hotel and I had to queue for 5 minutes to then get a seat at a bar, overlooking where they cook grills in the evening. The quality of the cooked breakfast was not acceptable for the standard of hotel - you could get better in a bed & breakfast. Most items were not replenished quickly enough resulting in queuing for over 10 minutes and the selection of items was limited. When I finally got my cooked items, the baked beans had a burnt taste. not all of the hotel amenities were available during my stay, the pool, sauna and other amenities were under going maintenence and this was one of the reasons that I booked this hotel. The breakfast was not up to the standard which this chain of hotels usually delivers.

Hotel staff were all young, many foreign, always charming, but quite vague. Took a day to get a plug for the bathroom, and when told that a bedside light was not working maintenance man changed the bulb to the other light, which then did not work. Stayed for 1 night. Room was good, but attention to detail lacking. Soap dispenser, in bathroom, not working, Back falling of TV remote. Blinds not cleaned properly. Night one - Aircon broken but staff didn't agree and said maintenance needed to look at it following day. Night two - aircon still not working, moved rooms. Much better. Tiles missing from bottom of swimming pool, sharp under foot. Expect better mintenance and customer service for the very high price paid.

A relatively new hotel so the condition of things are very good. Rooms are well equipped (Ironing board, hair dryer etc - even an ipod dock). Each room has its own air con control and there is a window that opens too (so you don't need to rely on the aircon which is nice). Wifi works well in the rooms. The pool and gym are great. A couple of elements […] missing - why no hooks in the bathroom ?? (on the back of the door?). We were a couple and there was only one large towel. Decor and lighting is very dark though - feels like a design from 10 years ago even though it's quite recent. Hotel is very busy on weekends, everyone leaves things to the last minute so the restaurant was very full for breakfast (and felt a little under-staffed). There is a Starbucks in reception but you're better off elsewhere as it'll take forever to get served. All in all it's a great value for money, just feels that the management should throw a few more staff into it for the busy times. Read more

Stayed for two nights with the inclusive breakfast and evening meal. The verve grill provided a good menu and has great staff. The verve bar was welcoming and well stocked.
