Great history in the hotel. Good lobby with a home made breakfast in the morning. Going through some renovations as the hotel is a little run down, but still a great time and a really comfortable bed.

We stayed here 3 days before a trip to Yellowstone. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was very good. Co-op grocery store right across the street. We will go back next time we are in Bozeman.

This is an older facility but had all that we needed...a clean and spacious room, desk, internet service...and all at a very reasonable price. It is also right on Main street of Bozeman and very close to most any activity in town.

Better than you might expect based on its outward appearance. Very homey and unique on the inside with well-updated rooms. And it's tough to beat the location in a great downtown area that has a noticeable lack of conveniently-located hotels.

The only complaint I had is that we were awoken around 2 a.m. by some very loud people, it took almost an hour to get rid of them. The staff did not do a very good job of taking care of the problem.

This is an old-style motel with rooms opening onto outdoor walkways. It definitely has an old-fashioned feel to it, but is comfortable, clean, and very functional.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel, which, for us, was out in the middle of nowhere. The staff staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was certainly adequate. Overall it was a good experience.

The hotel could use some TLC. The bathroom faucet leaked all over the counter when turned on; we found the sheets were stained. The most problematic was the people directly above us were incredibly noisy well into the early morning hours. We called the front desk to report the noice and it continued for at least 45 minutes. Overall it was a good stay, safe location, comfortable/clean and not loud despite the room frontage being all glass and on the main drag. It is reminiscent of hotels from the 70's with it's original frontage sign and it's look. With the name and the sign you'd think that it would have a pioneering theme to it of westward expansion and exploration but […] you could never be more wrong. It is a full blown SE Asia/Buddha/elephants/incense kind of experience in there! We got a big kick out of it. Take them up on the banana nut bread, it's pretty good. Location was great, the room was large and clean - except for a stain on the sheet. The bed was not the most comfortable. One thing I didn't like was the curtain on the sliding glass doors - you could sort of see through it therefore I felt people could see inside also.

Booked this hotel to move my daughter into school and it was very convenient. This hotel won't appeal to everyone, it feels like staying in a spare room at your Grandma's house and has sliding glass doors. It was clean but with dated furnishings and carpeting. They provide homemade banana bread at the continental breakfast and fresh squeezed lemonade […] in the lobby along with candied pecans, yum. This was very convenient to school but the best part was the cheerful and very friendly woman at the front desk. Pretty basic place great for an overnight stop. Only downside was that the only window was the sliding glass door that people were walking by and the AC was loud, so we turned on the AC until we went to bed. In the end, you're in Bozeman, don't hang out in the hotel, do something!

It was not a desirable place to stay. The window air conditioning didn't work. It had a locked sliding glass door with no screen. No windows. It was a very warm day and night. The shower went from hot to cold with barely a touch of the faucet. We ran out of toilet paper and thankfully had kleenex available.

I arrived late and lost and the staff guided me to the hotel which was easy to find if you take the right exit. the rooms were quiet and clean and I felt safe and comfortable. It was a nice hotel I would totaly stay there again. The staff provided banana bread and muffins in the a.m and were very helpful when I needed anything.

The only real thing The Lewis & Clark has going for it is the location. The room we stayed in on the 2nd floor was old and dingy. The floors and chairs were stained. The bathroom had permanant grime in corners of walls and in the shower. The air conditioner scared me the most. Needed a clean, nothing fancy place for a week while visiting a young relative during Spring Break for skiing, hiking, biking, exploring, relaxing, etc. A healthy break from the Noth' East.. The reason to stay at this hotel is location and price. Located downtown, it is easy access to most of what Bozeman offers. The one thing I didn't like was that the room smelled like cigarette smoke and I was in a non-smoking room.
