The Convent Hotel is located on one of the main streets in Amsterdam and within easy walking distance to the Centraal Train station and Dam Square-so public transportation is a snap. The hotel is well kept and the staff is very friently. The one complaint about the staff is that they do not seem very knowledgeable about typical tourist activities in Amsterdam and we didn't find a concierge staff member to help with some of our questions. Our booking through hotels.com did not include the breakfast, which looked wonderful and was expensive, so we found a lovely little care within a block or two from the hotel for our breakfasts. Lots of tours seem to use the hotel, so the staff is very comfortable speaking in English with everyone.The entrance to the hotel faces the very busy street, but the rooms are all in the back of the hotel and are very quiet. We enjoyed our stay. I would suggest trying to get the breakfast included in the hotel price.

The hotel was clean, nice, the staff friendly and helpful, especially the Concierge. The location was great, within walking distance of many restaurants, and things to see in Amsterdam.

excellent location to the airport, service was excellent. Great to have a real "walk in" shower!
Location.
Situated in the heart of Amsterdam, Parklane is within walking distance of Hortus Botanicus and Artis. Also nearby are National Maritime Museum and Skinny Bridge.
Hotel Features.
Guests are served a complimentary breakfast each morning. In addition to a concierge desk and multilingual staff, Parklane features tour/ticket assistance. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas. Additional amenities at this Victorian property include dry cleaning/laundry services, a pool table, and billiards. This is a smoke-free property.
Guestrooms.
Rooms have city or garden views. The 13 guestrooms at Parklane include safes and coffee/tea makers. Complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access is provided. Televisions are equipped with cable channels. Bathrooms offer bathtubs or showers and complimentary toiletries.

If you prefer a small charming classic hotel to the run-of-the-mill chains, go to Parklaan! No, you don't get the latest flat screen TV model, but Ken and his staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the art deco building lovely, the breakfast buffet ample, and there are several excellent restaurants just around the corner (e.g Smith and Vogt, Pizza […] and Prosecco). My expectations was exceeded. I loved staying at Parklane Hotel an will do so again when in Amsterdam. The hotel is beautiful and the service is excellent.

Sijainti on melko mukava, rauhallisella alueella puistoa vastapäätä. Ratikka numero 9 kulkee aivan hotellin vierestä Central Station lle, myös yö bussi kulkee hotellin vierestä. Yleiset tilat hotellissa ovat mukavat ja henkilökunta ystävällistä. Aamupala oli myös melko hyvä. Meillä oli huoneena "budget twin" hotellin ylimmässä kerroksessa. Huone osoittautui […] pieneksi ja hyvin yksinkertaiseksi. Huone ja kylpyhuene olivat siistejä, mutta ei siellä kovin paljoa aikaa halunnut kuluttaa. "Der vil jeg godt bo igen en anden gang!"
Personalet var flinke og hjælpsomme og havde tid og overskud til at fortælle om de gode steder i byen. Hotellet ligger ca 10 minutter fra hovedgaden Damrak og ca 15 minutter fra hovedbanen i tram. Stoppestedet ligger lige rundt om hjørnet (linie 9 og 14). Værelset var, i mit tilfælde, et meget nydeligt single room med egen altan. Værelset var lille, […] men der er den plads man skal bruge, når man alligevel er ude det meste af dagen. Godt badeværelse. Mit værelse var nr 10 - det NYE nr 10 vel at mærke. Det gamle værelse 10 (nu nr 14 mener jeg) er det nye budget single room og har kun vindue i loftet... Mit værelse lå på 3. sal og er IKKE handicapvenligt! Hollandske trapper er ekstremt stejle og smalle. Morgenmaden var god. Fin spisesal med godt udvalg af mad. Prisen var i den lidt dyre ende, men jeg er studerende så alt virker dyrt :) Jeg var yderst tilfred med opholdet og vil klart anbefale det til andre der rejser alene. Read more
