Great stay - difficult to find this B&Bin the dark, but definately a perfect place with wonderful hosts! Would recommend to anyone, even for me as a business traveller!

Our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable, I felt the hotel could have provided additional toiletries like handsoap, cotton wool, ear buds etc and the lighting in the bathroom was too dim around the mirror which made the application of make up rather difficult.

Hotel has been modernly refurbished. Extremely nice room. Food at the bar was adequate and the staff was professional and friendly. Cant imagine a nicer place for the price in SIttingbourne

Conveniently near the airport in the heart of Southend-on-Sea, The Ilfracombe House is close to Westcliff Gardens, Southend-on-Sea City Hall, and Southend Pier. Also nearby are Beecroft Art Gallery and Cliffs Pavilion.

For the price, a good hotel. Central location, easy parking and friendly staff. Really nice breakfast. Probably won't stay here again through hotels.com as I didn't notice at the time of booking that it is not eligible for Welcome rewards.

Amazing hotel, I travel a lot on business and this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in ever. However if you're after a standard corporate hotel this isn't the place you want. Me and my girlfriend stayed here as we were seeing a show at the Cliffs Pavilion. So the location was perfect. The service was brilliant very friendly and welcoming staff. Finally the food was very nice. Would definitely recommend.

Just there for one night but very happy with the hotel and it's location. I tried booking again for the Easter weekend but unfortunately couldn't, but would recommend the place to anyone. Nice brekky, bar and Sky Sports/ESPN as well in the bar as well. The bed was exceptionally comfy and I slept very well too.

This hotel is like an attraction in itself - very, very typical English. I have a suspicion that most of the employees is from Eastern Europe - but that is indeed English too - and who cares, as long as the service is great. Beuatiful place.

The staff is very friendly and the location is in a quite area and near the ocean. The only main issue wasthe fridge( was not working) and the curtains ( room and bathroom) were quite dirty.

My best mate and I had such a lovely stay at the Ilfracombe house. We came to Southend for an overnight girly trip. The hotels was an ideal location, just a 5 min walk to the coast. You can see the coast from the front/side of the hotel. It was lovely to wake up to the sound of the waves nearby :) The room included a superb english breakfast the next […] morning. We were extremely pleased with the quality of our room. The friendliness of the staff was overwheliming wonderful! They really made you feel very welcome. We would stay again for sure.
