Hotel is extremely secure and is clean. It is not convenient to airport, with traffic can take well over half an hour drive. No currency exchange. Restaurant OK.

This is Ghana. Or rather, this is one part of Ghana. Point is, you really need to adjust your expectations. Comparing this to a high end American or European hotel will leave you disappointed, but not by too much. I found this hotel very likable. The staff was friendly and reasonably attentive. Samuel, the bartender, was my best friend (in a positive way, not a "please give me more money way"!). He was really great. I forget the owner's name, but he was nice too. I was comfortable there. I liked my room, I found the internet quite decent (and apparently that's a big deal in Ghana). I did have an ant problem at first, but they solved that for me the next day. I can't speak for what other Accra hotels are like, but I can say that I would not hesitate to stay at Midindi again. In a way, I miss my nights having very good dinners up in the bar there. Speaking of food, the food cooked at Midindi is incredibly good. It can be VERY spicy, but it is really really good! In the two weeks I was there, I only at elsewhere once.

My Spouse and I have the most wonderful experience of our lives. We have travelled extensively and we have used many hotels, most of them five stars, but we have not had the courteous welcoming "you are at home" atmosphere until we arrived at His Majesty's Hotel. If you are looking for phony smiles and "I must treat you pleasantly because it is my job" attitude, then His Majesty's Hotel is not for you. But if you are looking for "you are my fimily and I must treat you as one of my own" attitude then His Majesty's Hotel is for you. The enite staff is wonderful. The manager, Mr. Ibrahim exemplies hospitality and his staff follows his lead perfectly. The hotel is always clean, neat, and pleasant--without overbearing furnishings. The customer services are beyond comparison and the food is exceptional. I never knew that hotel food could be that tasty and pleasing until I had my first meal at His Majesty's Hotel. I do not believe any visitor to a hotel can experience a more welcoming, sincere, hospitable,and pleasurable experience. I encourage everyone to at least spend a night at this hotel. Thank You to all at His Majesty's Hotel for a most memorable experience.

"PH hotel Ghana stay"
I was dismayed with the difficulty in Internet access,poor quality of food and sometimes staff attitude to guest.
"PH Accra- Fantastic Energy, Good People"
I have stayed at $300USD a night rooms at two different hotels in Accra, but this is better. The people here are fantastic and friendly. To add to that, there is a great energy about this hotel with there being aerobics outside by the pool several times a day. If you need your sleep, then ask for a room that is not surrounding the pool. "A little out of the main town & major sites."
Hotel was going through some renovation works, staff were not too attentive. Pool was dirty. The food menu had only a choice of 2 dishes, chicken or fish throughout my 4 day stay for all meal times. Our one week stay was enjoyable though there were somethings lacking for a three star hotel like Protea, that is if you have to compare same with Protea in other countries. But all the same the hotel is good for anyone who wants a quite place to stay in Accra. Spacious rooms with beautiful views. Hotel is situated far from the noise of the traffic. We […] really enjoyed the roasted fish which was always served with good Ghana sauce and rice. Beautiful pool side and a gym, with an ever- ready gym instructor to put you through a lot of excersise. "Experience"
The staff were really nice and went above and beyond their call of duty but unfortunately, the condition of the hotel did not meet the expected standard. The hotel was in between re branding and the rooms/environ was below a Protea standard

Good hotel in Accra. If you don't want to spend $300+ per night staying in a 4-5 star hotel this is one of your best options.

Ausstattung Zimmer basic. Handtücher Katastrophe. Loundry in Rechnung gestellt, obwohl nicht genutzt.(Betrugsversuch) Ausstattung Restaurant weit unter Niveau. Zu wenig Staff und untrainiert.
"Sin Internet"
El Hotel está limpio y las habitaciones cómodas, pero nunca hubo internet en los cuartos ni en el lobby. Está muy alejado del centro de la ciudad y los taxistas no sabían bien cómo llegar.
"PH Hotel in East Legon, Accra"
Dit hotel was eerder bekend als het Protea Hotel, deel van de Protea Groep uit Zuid Afrika. Nu is er niets meer van de Protea "brand" te merken, en er is geen teken van een andere identiteit. De kamers en bedden zijn zeer comfortabel. Zwembad mooi en schoon. Badkamers kunnen een beetje reparatiewerk gebruiken, douchekop niet meer aan de muur bevestigd, […] etc. Internetverbinding zwak. Weinig kanalen op TV, en slecht signaal. Locatie van dit hotel is niet ideaal als men in de stad moet zijn, Een trip naar Tema benodigd ook meer dan een half uur. Zeer beperkte selectie op menu in het restaurant, maar wel smakelijk. Een aantla van deze dingen zijn zeer standaard voor hotellen in Ghana (dit weet ik uit jaren ondervinding daar) maar niet voor een hotel in deze prijsklasse. Read more
