This hotel does NOT live up to the Kimpton brand in my opinion. I got married during my stay at Eventi. My now husband and I staid at Eventi through the 8 or so days that we were in NYC though our wedding was not at the hotel. I stopped in to the hotel a week ahead of time to alert the hotel to some of my allergies, and to let them know that we were […] getting married and just wanted to ensure that the trip would go smoothly and be memorable. The lady behind the front desk took down info that day however nothing actually got done in terms of the allergies or of making this trip special in any way. For example, I had to check in before my fiancee and it took three tries over 4 hours to get checked-in. Then the room was dirty. I had to call house keeping as there was some mystery substance on the curtains- I don't want to know what it was. Additionally, I had been getting headaches all week and near the end of the trip I found that they had left the feather mattress and pillows though both a week early and upon check-in I had special requested a feather free room due to allergies. During the wine reception I got pushed from table to table as there were not enough seats for guest. When I needed the front desk it was always a wait! while the lady was talking to someone making small chat. Also our room 1608 had NO cell reception and poor internet connectivity. Read more

Great location next to Penn Station. Very comfortable and quiet rooms, nice breakfast area with lots of light, well-appointed business center and fitness center. Wine reception in the evening brings guests together. Helpful concierge with good recommendations.

Hotel Eventi is a great hotel to stay in, we would definitely stay here again and recommend other friends/family. All of the staff were friendly, from the front desk to even the housekeeping staff. Comfortable, clean and extremely cheerful staff made our quick one night stay a great experience. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, bathroom with large tub was immaculate and beautiful. We will definitely return again. The staff was eager to assist which sealed the deal that we will return again when we've got an event in mid-town.

Pros: Hotel Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice, clean, and modern. Within walking distance or a cheap taxi ride to many areas. The Eventi hotel is conveniently located, and is a very lovely, modern hotel. The rooms are nicely appointed with many amenities. However, service could be improved drastically. And take my advice, avoid using the pull-out couch for sleeping at ALL COSTS. Its awful. Not enough elevators. Only one person was ever at the front desk causing a constant backup. Room was small and awkward. This was my second stay at this hotel and although I like the Kimpton chain, I would not return to this location.

The hotel is lovely, rooms are decent-sized for Manhattan. Well-located for walking in any direction and easy to get cabs in the area. Staff is pleasant and accommodating. I would stay again and I would recommend to friends.

Great hotel, we were three women and it can be hard to find a nice size room/bathroom to accommodate us and all luggage/shopping. We had a king suite and it was perfect! Plus two sinks! The staff was great, the location also, will definitely stay there again

This was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in New York. The room was surprisingly spacious as well (for Manhattan at least). The price was also reasonable considering the location, and definitely a great value for the quality.

The hotel is conveniently located, with close.by subway stations and a constant stream of taxis passing the front door; all to the good because there isn't very much of interest for visitors in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
