I have been visiting Manila for over 20 years and stayed at many place. For longer stays I look for a larger size room, while paying attention to my budget, which led me to stay at the Copacabana 3 times this year. The spacious room’s size, with abundant counter space for work area, drawers, and closet space really adds to the comfort. It's one of the […] best locations for quick access to the airport, Mall of Asia, and not as congested as Makati. Nice pool and the restaurant had a few good dishes; they do fried chicken quite well. No frills (tube TV, manual AC, somewhat hard beds, foam pillows that are too hard, etc.) and sometimes some flaws, for example once there were stained sheets, that they changed right away and some rooms had borderline acceptable water pressure, some corks about overcharges for late check-out and also laundry. But, so far, the pluses have outweighed to minuses, considering the price, I keep going back, some of the higher priced places have flaws too. Read more

This hotel is great for the price. The room was very clean, and had everything I needed. It is near the most important areas like the airport and Mall of Asia. Its of the main Road of Manila, the Edsel, which is very and most important.

Hotel is unnacceptably noisy 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. EDSA road is like an 14 lane expressway, but with a major jeepney/bus stop right out front of hotel - so you hear an incredible roar of traffic AND thounsands of horns honking all day long. I was suprised that the honking horns persisted at 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am. It just never stops - Filipino […] taxis and buses love to honk their high pitched horns....Hotel staff was incredibly poor in terms of customer service - they dont make much money and are not paid to care about you, so they act incredibly indifferent to guests. In 4 days I regularly saw 3 Guest Agents talking among themselves as they served 1 guest, yet 4 other guests stood in line. Have stood in that line many times I and other guests were angry that it would literally take 3 agents to check in a guest, or 3 agent to find an umbrella, or 3 agents to locate a map. Truly maddening. Very poor service. Furniture is nice. Room is spacious. Not convenient to Makati or Ermita - need a lengthy cab ride...Nice room furnishings do not make up for the noise - you will not get a good nights sleep here, noise is made worse by AC unit blowing directly on bed - hard to get a comfortable temperature Read more

I was very disappointed with my stay here at this hotel. Despite all the other reviews that I read on here, I still decided to give this place a chance. First of all, you have to pay to use the internet which is absolutely rediculous. Secondly, if you have back problems avoid this place!! I would have enjoyed sleeping on a rock rather then on these […] beds. Lastly, noise pollution....I understand that this is Manila and has a constant flow of cars and planes....however update the hotel with better sound-proof glass or something. Hotel wifi service is expensive and not free even in public areas. Since most of us communicated electronically; wifi service should be free for the convinience of the guests. I know this is for safety; security guard are always checking you in and out whcih sometimes annoying already.

There are alot of traffic noise... Recommend pick the ones away from EDSA road, otherwise you'll hear alot of honking. I believe they charge extra for maid cleaning services.

This is a really nice hotel and staff is friendly and nice. The only thing is they charge you for wifi access and its not cheap 500p/12.00$ a day on top of the room fees. Thats why I dont rate it higher and top rate. When you pay for a room they should include wifi in fee. I only rate this 3 stars.

This is budget accommodation with a great location. If you're not expecting the Shangri-La, for the price, it's hard to beat. 1. Location: in light traffic, it's just 15 minutes to the airport; a 3 minute cab ride, or long walk, to Mall of Asia; the US Embassy is just up Roxas Blvd. a bit; Araneta Coliseum is about 20 minutes up EDSA; among others, […] there's a McDonald's and Kenny Rogers Roaster around the corner; plus, lest we forget, the EDSA Entertainment Complex is across the street 2. Hotel: aged, but perfectly fine for the price; get the one-bedroom suite, it's not the Four Seasons, but it is nice to have a living area and kitchen with mini-bar; a decent pool is in the middle and is relatively quiet; room service is satisfactory for that late-night bite to eat All things considered, it's a fine place for a couple of nights. I've stayed at many hotels in Manila and keep going back to this one for the reasons above. TIP 1: see Corregidor Island; it's a good WWII tour at a reasonable price; you take a passenger ferry fairly early in the morning and are back by 5pm; the island is well maintained and there is much to see; the mortars and guns (some dating to 1905) are in amazingly good shape; may I recommend you not use a travel agent -- just go to the dock and book yourself (you'll save a ton of pesos); you can even spend the night there. The Copacabana Hotel was a pleasant experience for me. I found the service to be good and my room fairly clean. The only inconvenience I experienced was that the hotel's elevator only went to the tenth floor, while my room was located on the eleventh floor. I have been traveling in Asia approximately 3 months per year for over 20 years. This hotel is not fancy, but comfortable, and a good choice in the price range. My room was on the back side and away from the road noise that you need to be aware of in Manila. The room size was quite large with a big counter area, table, and chairs; large refrigerator, […] large closet, and several cabnets large desk drawers. Homade looking tile work shower (typical in Asia), but good water pressure and hot water supply, cheap toilet, but good working condition. Towels are border-line, but acceptable, and no problem getting extra towels daily. Matress appeared old, but not too hard, and linnens were clean, room well maintained. Safey boxes available in the lobby, not the room. WiFi is additional and a little expensive, but worked good for me. TV is small older tube type. Nice pool area with optional shade covered beach chair and outdoor dining area. Elevator a little rickety, but worked OK. First of all the good thing about this hotel. Its a great location since Mall of Asia is only few steps away and its easy to find since all the TAXis know where it is and if they don't then you just tell them to go to the Heritage. Well the bad things are so bad that they make me don't want to stay there again. The bed didn't work for me since the mattress is a very cheap spring mattress and my back was killing me after the first night. Also the noise from the other rooms penetrates the wall very easily and I felt a little privacy and the streets really penetrates even though my room was not facing the street and the honking starts around 6am so no sleeping after that unless you can sleep with earplugs. They also say they have microwave in the room but they dont. I also was hoping that I had a oven in my room since I was pretty sure that I saw a picture that some rooms did but mine didnt. So to sum this review up the I can't recommend this hotel since the most important thing about the hotel stay is that you sleep well and I didnt. I will not stay there again I'm sorry to say since they only need to buy new mattresses and maybe try to soundproof the windows better and it would be a good hotel. Read more

We stayed in Manila for 2 nights in Copacabana apartment hotel because it was close to the airport, is about 10 minutes taxi ride (you have to ask to turn on the meter on or you WILL get overcharged), the ride was about 200 pesos (less than 5 dollars). The hotel is right next to the Heritage hotel which is a very good reference point to tell the taxi […] driver. The neighborhood was a little scary but to be honest I find Manila to be scary no matter where. The room I booked was a studio room but we got an upgrade to a suite because there were no more king beds, our friends got the studio with twin beds. Both rooms were very spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The bathroom was ok, not too big and the shower had trouble with the hot water, not too much pressure but it still worked. The hotel has wifi but you have to pay 100 pesos for 1 hour (minimum). If you stay there be sure to visit the street market, it is about 3 blocks from the corner of the Heritage Hotel and is very very cheap. Also the hotel is very near to Mall of Asia, and the taxis should not charge you more than 100 pesos to go or come back. If you have an early flight the hotel can arrange a taxi with a fixed rate, around 270 pesos. Overall is a good place to stay for 1 night or two, since is not very close to rest of the city. The front office was inefficient. Long time to check in and check out even when there is no crowd. No facilities in the room to even charge the mobile phone. Have to buy adaptors from the hotel for an additional fee for charging the mobile phone. Bedsare not comfortable. House keeping people were very friendly and accomodative.

hotel offers but cannot support wifi, in spite of a number of attempts. They put coffee and tea out on top of the refrigerator but then charged mini bar rates to use it. The TV antennae had to be repaired, there is a lot of street noise, and the air conditioner was very noisy. The area is unsafe for foreigners.

Didn't get the beds i requested for, i reserved 1 queen bed. I received 2 twins... most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in. Hotel is in front of some shady night life. Not a place i should have taken my fiance to. If you're in Manila and don't have much money looking for good times with some ladies of the night, then please stay at this hotel.

There are 2 hotels in Manila with this same name, so be sure you give the taxi driver the correct address. If you look like an american, expect to pay many pesos to be taken anywhere.
