Camp Jolly is a low cost location that is not for every one. The accomodations are in a small camper. The cost was low. It was convienent to Venice with a bus to get you there and back. We were able to take the bus from the train station and walk around a mile to the location. The pizza joint where the bus drops off was good. I have to say I was surprised with how big the chalet was, we got the 1-5 person mobile and it had 2 bathrooms and a nice sized kitchen area. We had 3 adults and 3 small children and fit comfortably. Also for 4 euro round trip they offer a shuttle to and from Venice which is very helpful, small kids are free on it. Unfortunately it was raining the whole […] time we were there but they have nice parks for the kids and the restaurant on site is decent and not too badly priced. It was a bit difficult to get to, but I think 99% of that was due to our GPS and the road construction going on all over the place in that area. Here is where they need to improve themselves in order to be even better: • They are understaffed at the desk, and there are always long lines for something. Inevitably, you will need something from the desk a few times a day. Even to check out, you have to wait in this line. You could be waiting up to 30 minutes easily. • The amount of time you must wait is one thing. But in the location where people wait in line is also a serious safety issue. There is a security gate where the line forms that rises when a car passes through and lowers when the car has passed. Many people tend to stand in the area of that bar, and it often comes down without warning. During our stay, a few people were hit on the head by the car, including my elderly mother-in-law. They should paint a brightly colored line and post warning signs in many languages not to stand there because of this danger. I they have not by the time you decide to stay, please at least be aware of this hazard!!!!!! • There is also another place where you can get hurt if you are not careful inside the cabin. When you enter, if you are tall, watch the ceiling above. There is a bunk bed there. • The place has free WiFi. But it does not cover the entire grounds. If WiFi is important to you, be sure to try to get a cabin as close to the office as possible. We had a cabin in the way in back, and the signal did not reach. The good-Location within 15 mins walk from the bus to Venice and 20-25 mins walk to the train station. The accommodations were very clean and well maintained. Firstly beware that the photo used on the expedia site is of one of the few chalets on the site, most (like the unit we stayed in), only had a basic patio and one chair and if you were lucky a table, so if you want seating area, make sure you request a Chalet. Never booked this kind of accommodation so was not sure what it would be like and to be honest […] we were shocked on arrival, how very basic the accommodation was (minimal bed linen, no cooking facilities, but there was a fridge) and it did look in need of repair and good clean. If you are use to camping then this would suit you, hence why we recommend it. The actual site though was very pleasing, good clean pool area, plenty of seating and good priced bar near the pool. The restaurant was in my opinion the shining star of the resort (making up for lack of cooking facilities). Very good menu, the quality of food high standard and all at a reasonable price, especially if you take up on the discount voucher you receive when you check-in. The resort ran a good shuttle service between the resort and Venice at hourly intervals, leaving quite late from Venice, to give you chance to enjoy the city at night, without worrying about how you get back to the resort. There was a small supermarket on the site, but I recommend that you try stock up in a nearby supermarket if you are on a tight budget. In summary, a very basic way to stay, in a peaceful and clean environment, oh and do not forget to ask for towels! Read more

There was a 30 or 45 minute queue for check-in when we arrived. Three check in desks but only two manned...Place was a bit like a beachside resort, lots of 18-30 year olds partying, though noise stopped fairly early. Having read some awful reviews I was pleasantly surprised. We received an upgrade on arrival to a 'chalet', which was clean and comfortable. The cooking equipment was limited, most people seem to take everything with them - fine when you come by car. The showers were mostly warm and the air conditioning was great. The pool area was very good, however […] they could do with more parasols. There was not enough shade especially for the children. The food in the bar and restaurant was good and not too expensive. The market was rather limited in it's stock and frustratingly closed between 12 and 4.30pm. The campsite seemed to want to attract young backpackers with their pool parties etc. There was nothing organised for children which was a shame. We had no problem sleeping for 5 out of 7 nights, 6 lads in a nearby chalet kept us awake until 4am on our last night which was disappointing. I enjoy camping and the bungalow provided for us was wonderful, it had its own small bathroom and bed linens what it does not have is towels or room service and cleaning so don't get this confused with a hotel it is indeed a camp ground. Camping Jolly immediately gave off a scent of mediocrity. The fact that it's located right next to a major road made it somewhat hard to locate and access, coupled with the fact that no sign clearly advertized the name "Jolly", but rather some chain of which it is a part. At first glance it had a nicely sized, clean pool and restaurant. However we had […] booked a room for 3 adults, and the third bed was practically a shelf with a much too small, thin matress. The AC worked well, but the room was quite cramped. We arrived on Sunday, so we had to rely on the on-site store for provisions. But the selection was severely lacking, and the cashier had little to no ability to speak any second language. The staff in the reception were hardly helpful when we inquired about our non-functional Wi-fi, which we had been promised. Evidently, other guests shared our problem, which remained unresolved as we left. Later, we took a trip to Venice as scheduled by the camp. Upon return, we had to wait for nearly two hours, as both the first busses were in fact mini-busses for just eight people. In the end, nearly forty of us had piled up, waiting for a bus promised to arrive ten minutes later, that ended up arriving forty minutes later, and which we had been promised even an hour before that. Finally, upon checkout, we had to wait for forty-five minutes to pay just one euro - the person behind the counter were that slow. Our final verdict is that you should avoid the place. Read more

This is a spring break spot for sure! More for groups of people not for couples. They didn't show all the places you stay in therefore when we got to our MOBILE HOME I was shocked. They showed something similar to a cabin and I was large and homey and what we got was the exact opposite. It was very small, I smelled horrible and made all of our clothes […] stink and damp. We also had to share the other side of the trailer with other people and that was definitely not what we wanted. However, they did have a good location it was only a 15 min walk to the bus stop into Venice which is only a 15-20 min bus ride. There is also a bus stop about 10 min away that will take you to the train station and that's nice if you also want to visit Verona or Florence. Everything is ok thought the position is a little far from venice. The good thing is it has shuttle bus. However, the reception is really bad. Eg. I booked a room for 3 persons, we had 3 towels at first night, but they only offered 2 towels at second night. The reception asked us to pay for one more towel. Unbelievable!
