"Holiday Music Motel"
Great experience. This motel has been totally renovated with the original furnature except for the beds with new pillowtop mattresses. I will be back, don't let the cheap rates scare you away.

I drive for a living and frequently stay overnights in motels. I shopped online for reviews and rates for motels in the area, and found Holiday Music Motel. I stayed in December and since it was off season, the rate was extremely reasonable. The rooms were nicely decorated, quiet (away from the highway), clean, and comfortable.

An inexpensive, comfortable, interesting and clean place to stay. I will return to Holiday Music Motel whenever I travel to Sturgeon Bay.
Everyone was very nice. It was very very clean. And the retro style was cute. Do not expect any views. But within walking distance of down town Sturgeon Bay!

"Unique and Charming"
The hotel is very well cared for and creatively decorated. The staff are great and made the stay terrific. Room was small (most motel rooms in Door County are small) and bed was uncomfortable because the mattress was hard. We went to Door County for the natural beauty,; Sturgeon Bay is 20 miles south of where we should have stayed. That's our fault […] for not researching it better. The Holiday Motel is downtown Sturgeon Bay, so we had to drive for 25 minutes each way as we went to Fish Creek and Sister Bay. Read more

Very clean motel with very friendly staff. Reasonable price for the area and nice location. Very basic rooms, but did have WI FI and cable.Old motel but well maintained. We would go back.

Don't expect a 5 star resort but this place is very nice. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. The rooms are perfectly clean and retro style in a good way, and the price is very reasonable.

My husband and I (along with my parents) stayed here From Oct 2 - Oct 6, 2011 and had a fantastic time. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Loved the 50's decor and the cleanliness. The towels were not old and threadbare, the bed was so comfortable (we had a choice of down or fiberfill pillows) and the sheets were great! Perfect breakfast […] in the morning (help yourself to fresh hard-boiled eggs, cold cereal, oatmeal, toast, bagels, croissants, donuts and sweet rolls - plus coffee, OJ and apple juice). Close to everything & yet, very quiet. They recommended us to a wonderful new restaurant one block away. Music is on Saturday Nights. The Hotel has a portable fireplace with a good fire just outside the entrance, Adirondack Chairs all around it. Had lots of cosiness, plenty of pleasant conversations with other hotel guests around the fire. Immaculately […] clean throughout, continental breakfast filling and complete. A nice clean place to stay if your looking just to sleep there..
The open mic singers were a nice additional amenity for a summer night. My family loved the chance to stay in a 50s themed hotel and the location is right off 3rd Avenue where all the stores and restaurants are located. friendly service, decor is straight out of the 50s, modest, inexpensive (compared to other places in Door County!). We were there mid-week, so it was quiet. Short walk to shops and restaurants.

This motel is immaculately clean. It is an older style motel that has been carefully renovated so that it retains its charming retro character but is convenient, modern and clean to the corners. It has a great location, convenient for exploring Door County and a couple of blocks from the historic center of Sturgeon Bay. Rooms are small, but comfortable […] with a refrigerator and great cable TV service. There is a lawn in front where one can sit outside and make a fire. "Holiday Motel in Door County Wisc."
We stayed 2 nights. Loud talking at 6 A.M. Noise travels in this place. There was a gas smell in room, it went away after we complained. Morning coffee was bad & no creamer for it ! I would not stay here again.
