"Cosy town a little away from Gorges du Verdon"
The very pleasant hotel manager goes far to make sure that you have a good stay here. We had to change rooms due to some plumbing failures, but everything went smoothly and the manager sincerely apologised and we actually got a better room with balcony. The free wifi is working close to the reception, though it can be a bit weak in the room. The room […] size was about standard for this price range, not particularly large but fine. The bathroom was quite nice. The bed mattress, though, had seen better days. It had a dent in the middle and was a bit too hard. There is a café right outside the hotel with outdoors seats and cheap and good coffee/drinks, and you can buy a fresh croissant in the bakery next door that you can eat at the café for breakfast, if you don't want the full breakfast in the hotel. The hotel restaurant is superb! The honey roasted duck breast, for example, was fantastic. The michelin star can't be far away. Much better than the tourist restaurant a little further down the street. The town of Annot is cosy and away from the tourist masses. You can easily drive to the Gorges from here.
