The hotel is fine. that's about the most accurate description I can give it. We ran into a number of issues that may not be an issue for other people but were for us. Internet was down,pillows were too stiff and full for our taste and when I needed to make a long distance call from my room (following not only the instructions on the phone and from the […] front desk) it would repeatedly give a busy signal. Found out later that my room "wasn't set up for long distance calls" at the time. Then why did you run my card for incidentals the night before? No one seemed to want to apologize for the internet or the phone call (even though I couldn't make conference call because the phone wasn't "set up " and there was inconsistent reception in my room (ATT) the part of which I cant hold the hotel responsible for obviously.The hotel was not great by any measure but nothing was terrible. it was fine. Everything was great the day I arrived. I was put in a room on ground floor. I wasn't to sure I wanted this room because it butt up against the front parking lot. There was noise that night but not to bad. What I found out the next morning kind of scared me. One of the windows in the room was wide open. We loved our stay from the Historic Hotel Registry sign at the front door to the brick and cork walls--very unique room with brick walls, beamed ceiling. The restaurant on site looked lovely, but was not on our agenda. They also had a very nice bar and pub food menu. We will definitely stay there again!

They did a great job renovating this hotel, but we were woken up at 5:30 am by people upstairs from us, who were walking or running across their room for at least the next three hours. Either these people were the size of elephants or the insulation between floors was non existant. When we called the front desk to complain about the noise, they asked […] something along the lines of "what should we do about it?" We heard the phone ring upstairs, then the people continue their noise making. We called again to the front desk, but nothing changed. I will start off by saying that the staff working there were extremely friendly and welcoming. I was nervous that bringing my 22 month old might be more of a headache, but those who worked there were friendly to my little one. The breakfast was simple but very organized, clean and fresh. A great hotel with fantastic staff. I was traveling with just my two children, one 3 years old and the other 9 months, and the staff went out of their way to help me. The housekeeping staff noticed me trying to unload the cart, hold the door open, while trying keep two little ones in the room and they came right over to help. Then in the middle of the […] night my 9 month old spiked a 104 fever and needed to get to an ER. I had never been to the area before and didn't have my GPS, of course. I called the front desk for directions and the desk clerk must have heard the desperation in my voice and said he would print me directions. He was so helpful and kind. The only negative thing I have to say about the hotel is the windows in the rooms had no curtains, only blinds that did a poor job at blocking light. The room was extremely clean, dinner and breakfast where outstanding. Service at dinner was outstanding and very sweet to my children. Great, great family hotel!! Read more

We needed a comfortable stopover on our way to DC and the Cork Factory was a lovely surprise. Reasonably priced, wonderfully renovated, my favorite kind of decor--no nonsense comfort,comfort,comfort. I stay on Lancastet fairly frequently for business and family visits and the Cork factory seems to be the best balance for price and ample room size, amenities and a break from generic brand name hotels. The only down side is that it is about half a mile from the core of downtown Lancaster.

The hotel being in an old factory is very interesting. They really kept the old feel along with modern hotel ammenities. The lobby was very inviteing. Staff was helpful. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The resteraunt was very good for dinner. The free breakfast had a nice variety, including fresh fruit.

You needed to be between the bed and the TV to get the channels to change. The desk staff were cursory 2 out of three times. The restaurant and staff were tremendous. Cork Factory Hotel made a nice change from the usual franchise hotels. Rooms were large and comfortable, but the sound-proofing between rooms and the hall was very poor. The continental breakfast was great. The shower was nice although the pot lights made everything rather dark and moody. It's not a great hotel for young children (no bathtubs and small […] double beds) despite its location right across from the Lancaster Science Factory. It would have been nice if they'd kept a supply of commonly forgotten items at the front desk since I wasn't entirely comfortable driving around that neighborhood late at night looking for an open store to replace my forgotten contact lens case. An amazing look. The exterior, the interior, the room, the lobby and on and on ... All so beautifully done. The noise from the room above did come through the floor. The neighborhood was pretty sketchy leading up to the buildings. But once inside it was all just so lovely you forget what's outside. Such an original interior. Absolutely loved it.

Stylish and unique renovation of an old factory complex. Very tasteful and comfortable. Top-floor room had high ceilings, massive exposed beams, brick walls. Comfortable beds, modern bath, nice continental breakfast, location close to downtown. Great affordable alternative to cookie-cutter chains on outskirts of town.
