Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Spa services were high quality and a good value. Breakfast was redundant but good.

This is a great hotel, I definitely recommend it. It has a very retreat like feel--beautiful trees, orchids and other plants. The west side, which is away from the main road is very quiet. I think a lot of thought went into the layout and landscaping and you get that sense as soon as you walk past the lobby. All of our tension melted away as soon as […] we walked into the grounds. The staff was also friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was good and offered variety. Only two things need to be improved here: the coffee, which was too strong (and instant?) and the tea, which was too weak. I also recommend the spa. If my facial is anything to go by, the girls go above and beyond to give you a wonderful and effective experience. The hotel is situated in a great area. It is within easy walking distance to the local night market. We tried to local fare--papaya salad near the street entrance was awesome! But if you're going to buy any of the curries, sample it first. One was too hot even for my husband. There is a super market (Big C Extra), restaurants, cafes, clothing stores, a nail salon and a massage place all within about 5 minutes from the hotel. I also recommend the massage place--not sure what it's called. Their sign just said Thai Massage and it's located upstairs next to the Wawee cafe. The only negative comment I have is that there were a couple of days when hot water was in short supply. But this isn't a big enough concern to deter us from coming again. Read more

Romantic, peaceful (during daytime), beautiful setting. The hotel is a real hidden gem and a very romantic getaway for a couple (we were on honeymoon), though not as a resort destination. Absolutely excellent service. The hotel was beautiful and well kept, the rooms were cleaned daily and well. I stayed here for four nights with my boyfriend, we had an extra night added on and it was no problem. The staff were extremely polite and willing to help - my birthday fell during our stay, and the staff brought a cake to my room free of charge. […] I didn't even mention that it was my birthday. I recommend a night at the restaurant next door, it was reasonably priced and the food was delicious, and you got so much. I think we had six dishes for two people. The show was great too. Very relaxed hotel with excellent Spa. Breakfast ok and rooms are very comfortable, although the bathroom had hair leftover from the previous guest/s. only problem is the distance from town, but if you get a good price then the Tuk Tuks are worth the extra hassle...

For the price paid this hotel is superb value for money and would rate more highly than most other 5 star hotels I have stayed at. I would definately recommend spending that little extra on a pool access room, however the water is a little cold at this time of year but can quickly cure the excesses of previous night. We did always have to ask for coffee & tea rather than be offered and they want everybody out of the breakfast area at 10.30am on the dot, however it should be noted that choice and quality of food was excellent. I stayed at the Khum Phaya for 4 nights. The ressort as such is very pleasant, rooms are comfortable and the pool is huge. Breakfast buffet meets the regular standard. Downside is the location - the ressort is far off the city centre in a non-attractive commercial district. The hotel is not right in the centre of Chiang Mai but close enough that you can get to everything easily. Its a bit quieter than in the centre. The room was good although the wooden mosquito net frame fell down one morning, luckily we were not in bed at the time else we could have got a nasty crack on the bed. The bed sheets had been washed but there […] was some stains on them, would have been nice if they were not there although it didn't put us off sleeping in the bed. 2012. 11. 19 1박했습니다. 하루 수영이나 하면서 쉬려고 일부러 예약했는데요. 휴식이란 측면에선 최고의 선택입니다. 수영장이 완전 환상이죠.(유아를 위한 낮은 풀도 있습니다.) 1층 객실에선 수영장으로 바로 입수가 가능하고요. 위치가 시내에서 좀 외곽인데 타패게이트에서 뚝뚝타고 15분여 정도 걸립니다. 호텔과 시내의 나이트바자쪽을 오가는 셔틀이 하루 2-3차례 오가는 걸로 알고 있어서 위치고 그렇게 나쁘진 않다고 생각됩니다. 주변 여건으론 바로 옆에 쿤칸톡이 있어서 북부식 전통식사와 공연을 볼 수 있고요. 호텔 정문 주변에 몇 개의 현지식당과, 직진 200미터 정도 가면 빅C(대형마트)가 있어서 MK수끼를 비롯한 […] 다양한 외식을 이용할 수 있습니다. 다음에 치앙마이 간다면 이곳 수영장에 또 가고 싶네요. 8살딸때문에 1층 풀억세스룸을 선택했어요. 아이는 대만족이었고, 아침도 나쁘지 않았어요. 그런데 위치가 시내 관광지와 멀어서 택시를 타고 가야합니다. 셔틀버스가 있는데, 10시 2시.오후7시 운행해서 그리 나쁘지는 않아요. 하지만 여하튼 여행자 중심의 도시가 아니라 뚝 떨어져 있어서 (도시이기는하나) 좀 불편해요. (택시로 기본 200바트였음) 마사지는 안해봤는데 많이 고가입니다. 전반적으로 친절하고 안락하지만, 시내에서 관광을 위주로 할 분들은 다른 곳으로 가면 좋을 듯.
