The location of the hotel is unbeatable. We could hear the bells of the abbey and look out to see the parade grounds. I was initially concerned that a BW may be a big box, but they have sensitively maintained much of the character of the wonderful old hotel while incorporating modern amenities like a full, modern, spacious bathroom. We opted for the breakfast inclusive package and found it to be robust and offering many options. We set out on foot and did the whole city from this great central location.

We stayed 2 weeks. The owner and staff are very efficient, accommodating, and pleasant. The location was perfect and the facility was excellent. We will stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was in an idylic country town which afforded great access to local sites such as Bath. Family was an absolute charm with homey rooms with comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast.... Would definitely stay there again....

The Macdonald Bath Spa is lovely, the staff is helpful and attentive. We were automatically upgraded to a suite which was a wonderful surprise. No complaints. Would definitely stay there again.
Location.
Situated in Bath, Cranleigh is close to Bath Botanical Gardens, Roman Baths, and Bath Abbey. Also nearby are Royal Crescent and No. 1 Royal Crescent.
Hotel Features.
A complimentary breakfast is served each morning. In addition to a spa tub and tour/ticket assistance, Cranleigh features a garden. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas. Guest parking is complimentary, and available on a limited first-come, first-served basis. This is a smoke-free property.
Guestrooms.
The 9 guestrooms at Cranleigh include minibars and coffee/tea makers. Guests can use the in-room complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access. This was an excellent B and B, with friendly and extremely helpful staff. We used the hot tub in the garden after the drive up with a cold glass of wine, staff gave us time to relax in peace and quiet to unwind, afterwards were nicely relaxed and ready for the evening. Which we spent having a lovely meal in the Weston pub, recommended by the staff. Staff […] could not do enough for you at breakfast time and had ideas of where to visit and where to go. Good breafast and a pleasant walk into the centre afterwards. We would stay here again and again, as it was pleasant, clean, and friendly an amazing and welcoming stay.
