The service at the front desk and the spa was outstanding. The service at the restaurant and bar was less than expected. The hotel is beautiful and is a great destination if you want a spa getaway, but you have to take a taxi or rent a car if you want to do anything outside of the hotel.

Everything about the hotel itself was fine. Be warned it is a bit of a walk (1 mile?) from the main area. Also, the hotel restaurant food is no good for dinner; breakfast was acceptable. I recommend eating at the Smokehouse in town, top notch! Also, they do have free wifi, but you need to get a code from the front desk to use it and each code only lasts 8 hours. Kind of weird.

Lovely place. We got lost coming from the North and were late getting there. The lady was a little gruff. The next mornng the man who runs the place... made up for it with courtesy and helpfulness. As you will see, it is hard to estimate mileage and roads in Ireland. 50 Km would seem an hour, but not so. The hotel rooms are clean and hotel location excellent. The owners make little attempt to greet the guests or offer any help or suggestions. The rates are very fair so if you don't mind the lack of service or apparent interest in you as a guest the nice room and price may be all that is necessary.

This is a great little B&B, very close to the center of town (approx 10 min walk). We arrived late and left early, which was graciously accomodated. Plenty of parking in the back of the Lodge. Room was comfortable. Free wi-fi was a big bonus. Would return.

The room was comfortable. The staff was very helpful with information regarding what to do and even helped set up a city tour. The breakfast was good and we were able to get around town from the hotel very easily. I would definally recommend this place to others.

I recently stayed with my mom and sister and we were all really happy with the condition and quality of the Abbey Lodge. It was within walking distance of the town centre and right on the drive for the Ring of Kerry. My sister and I also enjoyed the Baileys addition to the morning porridge :).

The owners were very friendly and helpful with everything. Rooms asst spacious, plenty of parking, good breakfast. Located within walking distance of downtown, I recommend The Laurels pub. Short drive to Killarney national park.

I was overall disappointed as the room was cold when we arrived and the TV wasn't working at all! Very few plugs and the ones available were broken! The walls were thin as we could hear the snoring neighbour all night long! The Breakfast time was good and I would assume that the waiter was the owner and friendly.

nice enough place, but the staff was less than friendly. rooms / facilities clean, location perfect for access to downtown Killarney and Ross Castle but honestly I would not stay there again because the staff were quite cold and unhelpful.
