The hotel is right across the street from St. Paul's Bay. Small restaurants and food stores are nearby. The buffet breakfast included in my reservation was outstanding, with a huge variety of good food and with helpful staff. The bus depot is less than one block away. The hotel was undergoing major construction work outside, on one side of the building. However, I'm not sure they were using rooms on that side during construction. My room was on the other side, and I didn't hear any noise at all.

Nearly everything was terrific about the Excelsior. The employees were all very friendly, breakfast was good, and the location is a few minutes walk from the heart of Valletta. The only negative points would be that the jacuzzi was colder than the swimming pool.

Pros: Front desk service and info was great and friendly! Location was perfect for walking to areas and bus stop directly across the street. Breakfast upstairs was easy when we wanted it. Cons: Small elevator. Street noise. All in all this was a great hotel for us. Loved the service(Carl was great) the only item that I can really say was bad was the street noise since this hotel is right on the main road. However in Malta the national song is a beeping car! So get used to it. It didn't bother me in the least.

For the price of the hotel, I was very satisfied. The room was comfortable and clean. The best part of the hotel is its staff. Extremely helpful and friendly. Made my one week there a little bit more enjoyable.

We stayed at this very nice guesthouse in a peaceful location. The room was comfortable but I would have liked to have had a small bar of soap in the bathroom. Instead I had to go and buy soap. The bathroom we had was spacious but the bath had a shower attachment over the bath taps with no wall hook. This makes it difficult to shower. I don't know if […] all the bathrooms are the same. Først skal siges at man får hvad man betaler for. Dette er absolut ikke ment som en negativ ting. Det er en billig måde at bo på, og der er ikke mange muligheder på selve stedet. Møblerne er af ældre dato, fjernsynet er ikke det nyeste osv. Til gengæld vågnede vi hver morgen op til en fremragende udsigt ud over Xlendi bay. Værelset var stort og rummeligt […] til to personer (svarer til et fire personers hotelværelse). vi havde en stor balkon med sol fra middag til aften. Morgenmaden som er inkluderet i prisen er nok lidt skrabet i forhold til et hotel, men det var nu heller ikke det vi havde de største forventninger til (igen i forhold til prisen). Personalet er utroligt venlige og meget søde og hjælpsomme med alt. Vi fik hjælp til at leje bil, spurgte ind til busser, seværdigheder osv. Enkelte af gæsterne fik endda kørelejlighed, hvis de skulle samme vej som nogle af personalet! Ligeledes var rengøringen fuldt tilfredsstillende, Det blev ikke gjort hver dag, men til gengæld blev det gjort ordentligt. San Antonio er et fremragende sted at bo, hvis man: - Primært anvender stedet som udgangspunkt for oplevelser. - Gerne vil have ro omkring sig. - Ikke vil være overrendt af turister. - Ikke har store krav til faciliteterne. - Gerne vil bo et billigt sted. We stayed there 6 days. The sea view is marvellous and must be the best of Xlendi. The room is pleasant, but is lacking of phonic insulation. This is largely compensated by the always smiling staff, which were happy to make us discover local specialities and to help arranging our trips. We appreciated this place and will surely come back !
