Place was a good value and very comfortable. Only complaint was a musty smell in the downstairs bedroom. Once we opened the sliding doors and windows it seemed to go away. Unit may have been closed up for a while.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice clean room but hear to much noise from the other rooms. If you love the mountains it is a beautiful part of the world.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Getaway Spot but Don't Check-in After Hours"
We had a great time at Foxhunt @ Sapphire Valley. There are lots of things to do - swim, gem mining, hiking, etc. We were fortunate enough to have several inches of snow while we were there. The kids really enjoyed snow tubing. My only word of caution is that if you know you will have to check in after hours be sure to call ahead and ask any questions […] you may have. One important piece of info to check on is that every person over 14 needs to have an amenity card. We were shorted two cards and had to wait until the office opened at 11 on Saturday morning. All the after hour check in people do is give you a packet with your room keys but they aren't much help with specifics about your reservation because they don't work for SPM - the group that manages Foxhunt. We wanted to stay an extra night but when we called on Sunday there was no one in the office to help us. The answering service told me they would have someone call me but I never heard from anyone. We basically had to wait in limbo until they called us on Monday morning - an hour before check-out. In the end it all worked out but getting information when we needed it (non-business hours) was a little frustrating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"very pleasant stay"
We loved our 2 night- stay there. It was nice for our family of four to have separated levels of living. The place was cozy. The decor was a bit dated and old fashioned but it did not bother us. I am particularly impressed with the kitchen as it is loaded with every thing we needed for cooking and baking. The supermarket, ski resort and attraction are […] very close by. We first confused with the map and direction. You need to check in at the main office by the ski resort first. It is best to call someone there for direction. They were very helpful. But since we have done it we could not wait to stay there again in the summer. The surrounding was just serene and beautiful. Beside it is only 3 hours from Atlanta. "damp musty smell to unit"
Our unit was clean. . .if that is what the damp pile of towels in the entryway meant when we entered our unit for the first time. Seriously, the unit seemed clean, but there was an overall old musty smell to the unit. . .especially in the master bedroom area in basement. There was a "DampRid" moisture absorber in the master bedroom closet. . .so obviously […] the owners know there is a problem. The dishwasher didn't work well. The twin bathroom toilet overflowed. The twin bedroom TV remote control was missing. There was a lot of space in the unit for our family of 4, however, and we enjoyed the space and privacy. Overall, Foxhunt is an OK place to stay if you want to learn how to ski at Sapphire Valley. . .a beginner ski area. . We waited over an hour for our tubing time on January 1 since the staff got a late start in getting the ski and tubing areas open that day. The rumor was they had too many staff call in sick that day (maybe too late of a New Years Eve for many of the young staff. . .at the resort guests' inconvenience as a result). I will give the Sapphire Valley resort staff credit in trying to amend the situation by giving us 2 extra hours of tubing time. That was a nice recovery by Sapphire Valley. Altogether, Sapphire Valley is a great place to learn how to ski for the first time, and Foxhunt was a convenient place to stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"great for families"
Excellent for a family of 4. Plenty of room and everything was in working order. Very close to Saphhire Valley Skiing . 10 min drive. Fox Hunt condo overlooks a very nice lake. Highly recommend a stay there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect size for a family"
We really enjoyed our trip to Sapphire Valley. The unit at Fox Hunt was the perfect size for our family. We had plenty of room to spread out. We would love to come back to experience other seasons. Skiing at Sapphire Valley was the perfect introduction to skiing for our family. Highly recommend the snow boarding and skiing classes.Genuine Expedia guest review
"getaway to cabin"
it was supposed to be a snow boarding time for the kids, but it rained all weekend, and I found very lil help in what to do when it rains from staff. to make matters worst, the indoor pool broke on Sunday...we had no lake view like in most of the pictures you see, we got a room in the middle of the woods..Genuine Expedia guest review
The price for a two bedroom townhouse was wonderful and the place was beautiful! We had a wonderful time! We had a situation with one of the reservations for our party not showing on the Foxhunt list, but they worked to make sure we had a place and that we were happy with it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Family get together"
The 3 story 2 bedroom condo was very clean and well equipped. Plenty of space. King bedroom suite very nice. Patios on two levels. Lots of stuff to do on the property - game room, minigolf, horseshoes, snowtubing. We did have a problem with the reservation. We had reserved two units under two separate reservations. One for 3 days and one for 2 days. […] They only had the 2 day one. We were told this happens often with Expedia and other travel sites. Fortunately, we had less in our party than anticipated and only needed one unit. Plus Foxhunt only charged us for two nights though we stayed three so it worked out great for us. "Good location, fair price, was a very nice condo."
This was a fully loaded, very nicely furnished timeshare condo rented out as a hotel room. It would be a great place for a family of four or for two couples to stay for a week or more. We were very comfortable and enjoyed ourselves.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The place is lovely, spacious, clean and comfy.. The location is a little but hidden but once you find it it's all great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great amenities, wonderful view"
We own a time share at Foxhunt, Sapphire Valley NC, so we are very familiar with the area. We decided to visit a few days to enjoy a different season. We love it there! Yes, the units are aging but they have been very well maintained and remodeled over the years. One thing that I would recommend to Hotels.com is to tell guests where to locate CHECK […] IN! We arrived on Sunday and when we discovered the Foxhunt check-in closed, we went to Public Safety office to retrieve our packet. I was concerned about 1st time visitors! Also the address on the website does not match up with ANYTHING Foxhunt - especially since Foxhunt check in isn't even ON Hwy 64. I'm surprised others haven't panicked and reported this obvisous error. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A very nice place. Our condo was in the woods."
We go every year to the mountains with my sister and her family. This was the first time that we have stayed at Foxhunt this and we will come back again. We just loved the woods and the place was sooooo clean. I had coffee on the deck and just watched the leaves fall.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful Condo..MUST SEE"
Condo is located in a quiet neighborhood in a valley of mountains. It was very spacious and clean. I loved the fireplace and actually burned 4 bundles of wood, the master bath has one of the largest whirlpool tubs I've ever seen and after hiking most of the day that was a plus! "Very nice place to stay"
The place is very nice. There were a lot of steps down hill to get to the room. The room is also on three levels so if steps hinder you this will be a problem. The sheets did not fit the bed. The corners kept coming off during the night. The internet was slow as Christmas but did not drop out. It is a duplex so there was some noise from people in the […] other rooms. Not bad but you knew they were there. It was more like doors closing and thumps on the floor. As for being able to recommend this place, we would be happy to stay there again. "Quiet Resting Place in the Mountains"
Foxhunt is composed of several sets of townhouses well spaced for privacy and seclusion. Each townhouse is based on a split foyer design with the kitchen, dining, and living area on the top floor, a guest bedroom and bath on the main floor, and a master bedroom and bath on the lower floor. Units are well appointed with all the kitchen .equipment you […] might need, and there is a washer and dryer on the lower floor off the Master suite. The living area and the Master bedroom each have a private balcony that overlook the natural woodlands around the unit. The units are well kept up, but appear to be 20 or 30 years old, although they have been recently redecorated it seems. We did not use the recreation facilities, but they seemed to be adequate for people of all ages. Our only frustration was with the electronic key for the entry. Our first two keys failed to work, and a third quit working half-way through our stay. The staff was courteous and helpful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Wedding in Cashiers"
When I could not book a room at the Hampton Inn, I panicked! By happy accident, I booked this suite and was thrilled with the accommodations!Genuine Expedia guest review
The Foxhunt Townhouse was very nice and clean. I do recommend this. One word of caution is that if you do not know the area, it can be confusing getting there. Foxhunt is part of Sapphire Valley resort. There are four resorts in the area. You only see small signs for Foxhunt, if you ever see them. I would call first and get very precise directions.Genuine Expedia guest review

"soooooo hard to find"
The condo was very clean and nicely decorated, a good bargain for amt. paid, however, we got lost looking for the place. Mapquest and our GPS were inaccurate for the given address. No info was provided for late check-in, i.e. around 8pm! The place was very isolated and hard to find on the dark mountain roads.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Foxhunt was Great I can't wait to go back. Debbie and Anna in the office were gems!! The lake & villa were BEAUTIFUL and peaceful- the solitude we wanted.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The place smelled musty, so much that we had to buy air freshener. The place is in desperate need of a dehumidifier. Everything felt damp. The signage and directions were horrible, it's very easy to become very lost, especially at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Two thumbs up"
Great place for a family. Plenty of room to spread out nice kitchen very clean. Bit of a commute to highlands. Full grocery store about 5 minutes away. Nice big jetted tub in master ( no tub outside on the deck). This is a multi unit condo so if you are looking to be on your own need to look into a cabin rental.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Deep Woods of Western North Carolina"
Not enough information given about the hotel. We arrived about 7 pm and found the office closed. We knocked on door until we found that the keys were kept at the local police department. If the office hours of 8am to 5 pm had been on our confirmation we would have made and effor to arrive before 5 pm and saved ourselves alot of stress.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent value for the $"
This is not a hotel. It is condominiums owned by different people, some leased, some not, some timeshares. When we booked, it was advertised as a two bedroom suite. We were happily surprised at the fact that it was a full condominium: two bedrooms (one a master suite) a full kitchen, sitting area, dining area and two outdoor porches (one outside of […] the master bedroom, one on the main living area) appointed with rocking chairs and a table and chairs. The master bath had a LARGE whirlpool tub. IDEAL for families with children. Since the condos are privately owned, I cannot attest to the decor of the others, but ours, (although obviously built a while ago) was not overly dated, and had been kept up nicely. It was clean. The condos are placed up a hillside, amidst the lush NC foliage. No view from where we were, but there is a cute little lake at the bottom of the property which my kids would've loved to explore had we been there longer. There was some confusion about the location. The street numbers on hwy 64 are not well marked, and if you are lucky enough to spy fox run, the office where you check in is several miles up the road, and there are no signs directing you to where you get your key. I would certainly book here again, as it is an excellent value for the price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great deal for the price!"
For the same price as staying at a run-of-the-mill hotel this was a steal. The townhouse was clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. My only complaints are that due to the late check-in (4pm) and early check-out (10am) times we were not able to enjoy the amenities the resort had to offer. Since we were there for a romantic get-a-way that was fine […] but keep this in mind if you are only staying one night as we did. Next time, we will plan a longer stay and bring the kids. Also, note that if you check-in in Sunday you have to go to the nearby Public Safety office to get your key. Not a big deal, but I had to call to find this out as it is not published on the resorts website. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great place to stay. Very comfortable, nice and relaxing. Wonderful holiday. Nicely decorated with the comforts of home.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything about the unit is what you would expect from a timeshare. The only negative I would share is that the bed / pillows were only adequate. Nothing at all like you would expect in a Hilton/DoubleTree/etcGenuine Hotels.com guest review
