Homestead Inn Banff - Banff

this hotel is the "cheap seats" partner to the semi-fancy one across the strees (Banff Park Lodge). My room had ripped-up lino on the bathroom floor, ancient windows, and I had to keep the sink plug in the drain to prevent the sewer gas smell from infiltrating the room. there's not much sound-proofing among rooms either, so be prepared for lots of door-slamming […] and foot-traffic noise, and the diesel tour busses idle CONSTANTLY out front from 7am onwards. If was nice we could use the pool in the hotel accross. Very nice place. The only remarks i have is that the room needed a little touch up maintenance wise. Like the countertop in the bathroom was broken. there was a hole in the ceiling etc. Little things. This is a great hotel for people who aren't looking for anything fancy, just a clean, affordable place to sleep at a great location. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and in good repair. It's a great place to stay for a ski trip and a visit to Banff.

Great staff, great location and amazing value for money accommodation. This has been our third stay at the Homestead Inn and it remains our first choice foer accommodation. Save money by staying here and blow those savings on some great meals - all only a short walk away.

It's a little basic sure, and I wouldn't use if for a romantic get away but if you just need somewhere central to Banff to stay then I'd highly recommend it. Use of the pool facilities across the road is another plus. The staff were very helpful in assisting check in and also advising places to spend the evening

Although the room was pleasant, the wi fi wasn't working and the coffee cups were paper and the drinking glasses were plastic.

Room was clean, staff was pleasant and we had access to all the ammenities of the much more expensive hotel (sister property) across the street. Our tv was a little fuzzy and slow internet connection were the only downsides of our stay.

room had smoke smell, vacuum not done as there were coins under the bed that were not ours

Located near the main street of Banff. The parking lot cannot accomodate the cars of all guest. The pictures in Hotels.com site are from Banff Park Lodge, a parter hotel located across the street.

Great location. Excellent, excellent staff: very knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly, and efficient! In the heart of Banff- walking distance to almost everything- shops, restaurants, Starbucks, river walk etc. Only one drawback for those who have difficulty with stairs, there is no elevator. stayed one night with my wife and 2 year old son and we really liked our room. the staff was really friendly and helpful and the room was big and clean. brilliant hotel.

I thought it was such a nice hotel, with the lovely frount desk girl who help us so much with a bright smile. It means alot to me and my wife after driving four hours to have someone who can anwser your questions and make you feel at home at the hotle as well as the town of Banff. Thank you so much we want to stay again.

Those who want to go around, and wish to take a stroll in the evening in the town or do some shopping. Homestead is a fantastic place to stay. reasonable and located right in the town centre.

Motel, Great location, rooms need some renovation but still clean. Rather warm at night but was a fan in the room. Perfect position in town. Everything was in walking distance (shopping, restaurants, bars, river, museum, etc. A nice surprise was that we were given a card so we could use the pool, spa, etc. in the hotel across the street. Great people at the desk who helped us with everything. The only bad part was that my son is a bed hog :)

What a super location, the Bow River is a short walk away, so is downtown! The room was basic, but clean and quiet. (No plush carpet or impressive decor) With a family travelling on a budget and being in Banff, this is affordable! We had access to the pool and exercise room at the hotel across the street. My sister and I visited the Homestead Inn because it is pet friendly and it seemed to be the cheapest in town through Hotels.ca. The evening front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't reccommend this motel to anyone though because the room was lacking cleanliness i.e., dirty pillowcases, stained walls, and dirty carpets. We understood […] that a motel with a pet friendly service wouldn't be as clean as other motels but we felt uncomfortable in our room. Also, at our check out my sister requested to pay for our room on her debit card. When I arrived home a few days later, I discovered that I had been charged on my visa and it did not go through on to my sister's debit card.
