The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was great. The complimentary breakfast had a great assortment of cheeses, meats, fruit, cereal, and croissants and bread. . It is across the street from the lake so the view is pretty from the rooms.

My wife and I travelled to Lugano for a business meeting that I had and we chose this hotel so that she could enjoy the city while I attended meetings. Everything is well within walking distance of this hotel, while they also have nearby parking as we had a car. Our room fronted the lake and we also enjoyed the view from the breakfast room the following morning. It is an older hotel with character and an efficient staff. We would stay here again.

This hotel is fantastic. The views are amazing! The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable and the staff is pretty fantastic. It is however, up a very steep hill and walking to town is not really an option. Taxi's are very expensive to and from the hotel, but the surrounding towns are worth it. Find another place to eat in town. The restaurant in the hotel was a terrible experience. Crunchy risotto and pasta, raw veal and chicken and the bartender did not understand that rum is not tequila. The bar itself leaves much to be desired. We were charged full price for the horrible dinner, and the negotiation about reducing the charges for a REALLY BAD dining experience, was very difficult. The manager was really not willing to reduce the bill as much as I would have liked to see for the horrible food. Avoid this issue by eating elsewhere and the rest of your experience will be lovely.

There is little that cannot be said of this hotel. The location and grounds are gorgeous; the main villa is beyond beautiful; the service was outstanding from check-in to check-out. My fiancee and I traveled to to this hotel during the off-period right before New Year's. We were put into a suite in the main building. The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The mini-bar was complimentary and replenished daily. The service throughout the complex was excellent. Perhaps the nicest surprise of our stay was the spa. Built underneath the main building, the spa featured a large pool with a number of fun features. The four treatment rooms, modeled after Earth, Air, Wind, and Fire, were a great place to have a couple's massage. This hotel is a wonderful getaway for a romantic trip to a truly gorgeous location.

Impeccable service from a highly professional staff makes you feel that this is your home. The service is genuine and friendly-- never forced or pretentious. The location is convenient and the views are postcard perfect. The building is grand and has been undergoing some needed maintenance and renovation,. The work is being done in a quiet and considerate manner;& and, as a guest, I was completely unaware that any work was being done during my stay. I look forward to my next stay, and I will be a regular guest in all seasons.

Friendly staff and very nice hotel. My only grip was the directions to the hotel and access when we got there. We drove and there was no way to drop off our luggage at the hotel. Instead we had to drive into a restricted central city zone and walk our luggage two - four blocks down or up narrow walking streets.

This hotel served our purpose which was location. It is very convenient to the wooden bridge and shopping. It was nice enough but the room was quite small for the price. The inclusive breakfast was very convenient as it would have been pricey on the outside.

I would fully recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was perfect and the quality of service was excellent as was the location. The family that owed the hotel were very accommodating. The garden at the front of the hotel was an ideal spot to put your feet up after wandering around all day.

The Hotel was really well positioned less than 5 min walk from the Lake and main resturants and Ferry port, the room was cleaned really well every day and the staff in teh Hotel were excellent and extremley freindly and helpful.

Likes - Bellagio is gorgeous, go on the little train to neighbouring St Antonio and find the little cafe for a few nibbles and drinks at a cheap price. The hotel staff were fantastic and we loved the room that had a little terrace, unfortunately it only got evening sunshine. Its not ultra modern but comfortable enough and has wireless. Some great cafe's […] and restaurants around the town very local to the hotel, and the passenger ferries are literally a minutes walk, we would advise going down to the very tip of the headland where there was a great restaurant. Dislikes - hotel is in the middle of a pedestrian area which makes it a little awkward with large cases to get to, and also parking can be a bit of a nightmare - we were there however for a bank holiday period so not sure if this made it worse. Would recommend however to people wanting to stay in Bellagio - there are no large hotels here so except a quaint beautiful little town, not large corporate hotels with swimming pools. Read more

The Centrale is a beautiful old hotel beautifully run. The rooms are quite large by Italian standards, with comfortable beds. Our room had two small balconies overlooking the lovely courtyard and garden. The staff/owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was quite good, with fresh pastries, fruits, bread, juice, cold meats, […] and more. We had only two small complaints. First, the bathroom and bedroom could both use better lighting; reading, shaving, and applying makeup were difficult. Second (and this is, of course, not the fault of the hotel owners), access is by way of a steep, stepped street (over 70 steps). There is an easier but longer way to reach the hotel from the lake front, but it would be necessary to ask directions. Bang in the centre of the town, as the name would suggest, but with no lake views. Communal areas could probably do with updating. Room nice, but bathroom very small. Friendly staff.

Un hôtel impeccablement tenu, un accueil très cordial, des chambres meublées avec goût, à 100 m à peine de l'embarcadère des bateaux permettant de gagner les principaux sites d'intérêt autour du lac de Côme: tout pour rendre le séjour très agréable.

Notons que le bourg historique de Bellagio est presque entièrement piétonnier et qu'il est de ce fait difficile de se garer dans le centre ville. Location excellent, near the ships to get other places (in the middle of the lake, so easy to go everywhere). You have to climb the stairs to the hotel, that's good to know. Room was comfy (we got to choose which room we wanted). We could see the lake from our window (+++). Nicely furnished, and clean. Pillows were quite hard (but it seems to be usual […] in Italy, cause every other hotel had too). Breakfast was really good, lots of everything to choose from, and coffee made individually for you (best coffee I had in Italy!). Very good service, got everything we asked and good information, very nice restaurants near by and quiet hotel in the night.. So higly recommending! Read more
