"Great overnight stay"
I stayed for one night and had a very pleasant night. Room was very clean and nicely decorated, bathroom as well. View and location was amazing although it was a little hard to find initially. Will definitely return to this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very comfortable and clean. Very central location, so great for sight seeing. Reasonably quiet as it's high up, so not too much noise from the street and can't hear people in other rooms. Very good value. I didn't realise my room was not en suite when I booked, but was OK for a short visit.
Gran Vian metroaseman sisäänkäynnille oli matkaa about 50m. Kauppa oli lähellä ja All you can eat breakfest paikkoja muutamakin, joten nälkääkään ei tarvii kärsiä vaikka ravintolapalveluja ei olekaan hotellilla tarjolla. "Lækkert hotel midt i centrum"
;) Hostellet var langt over mine forventninger! :) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review

Genuine Expedia guest review

Totalmente recomendable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

When we started looking for a hotel room in Madrid, a couple of months before our trip, we couldn’t believe our eyes: there was plenty of little hotels, all scattered around the Gran Via (thus very central), with double rooms for about 50 euros. I thought: it’s implausible, there must be something fishy about this. Well, I know nothing about the others, but there definitely isn’t anything fishy about the Hostal Go Inn. This little hotel is located on the 7th floor of a building on the corner between the Gran Via and Calle de la Montera. Our room (a double, No. 6) looked on the Gran Via, precisely opposite the nice Telefonica building, and was exactly as it appears in the photos on Tripadvisor and elsewhere (including the towels shaped swan-like!): big and pleasantly decorated, and it was also spotlessly clean, very quiet (as I already mentioned, it’s on the seventh floor, and the soundproofing works fine) and provided with AC. What more could one ask for 59 € breakfast included? Oh, breakfast: the only thing that was less than perfect. As there isn’t any breakfast room in the hotel, you have to go to a café just across the street. That wouldn’t be a big issue in itself, but the service leaves a lot to be desired there. Anyway, when we told the girl at the reception about that, she answered that, as they were aware of the problem having received several complains from the customers, they were about to change, and soon they would be sending their customers to a different café for breakfast.
"Perfect modern little hotel"

This hotel has an absolutely ideal location - situated on Gran Via, the main thoroughfare through Madrid city centre and within easy walking distance to all of the main sights. It was very easy to find, we just followed the signs for Montera exit from the Gran Via metro - then the hotel is literally seconds away. The hotel covers the seventh floor of a large building - the sign at the entrance door has several other business names on it so just something to keep in mind. Anyways it's clearly marked with the street number and right on the metro's doorstep, so piece of cake even for us two perpetually lost tourists haha. The guy at reception checked us in quickly and without any problems. The room was lovely! The whole bedroom and bathroom were spotless and the decor was very modern, bright and tasteful. The room had a small balcony opening onto the busy main road, but was quiet enough at night when all closed up. Wifi and aircon worked perfectly. Reception was also helpful when we needed our train tickets printed for the next day, the guy did so promptly. I'm not too sure why it's termed "hostel", when the rooms are not dorms and were actually far nicer than a lot of pricier hotels we've stayed in! We thought this hotel was fantastic value and really couldn't fault anything, would highly recommend it.
"Great value base for Madrid"
Stayed four nights in this hostel, which was a great base to explore the city from. The room was actually quite large, clean and well decorated for a hostel setup with a nice view over Gran Via. Wifi worked very well. Stephanie amd (her brother?) were always very friendly.
"We enjoyed our stay!"

We enjoyed our stay at Hostal Go Inn Madrid in June. It's right off Gran Via (which can be a little loud but we didn't mind) walking distance in the heart of Madrid. We walked everywhere! Rooms are newly remodeled, clean, spacious and have a nice en suite bathroom. Our room also had a balcony that opened up to the outside. The receptionist was so nice and helpful. Free wifi and chocolates when they make up your bed! We had breakfast included which was vouchers to a cafe across the street. Would recommend if you're looking for an affordable, clean, safe place to stay in the heart of Madrid!
"Fabulous stay in heart of Madrid"

Loved our stay here. Room was beautifully decorated and immaculate. We had Room 10 in the Corner of the building so had grand views over the Gran Via. (see photos) The room is huge and amenities modern. Very easy to access via lift.(7th Floor) Walk out the front doors into the mall filled with Tapas, Sangria and shopping. Metro at door step. (We caught Metro easily from Airport) Easy walk to Prada, Sophia and Thysenn Galleries along with most of Madrid's city attractions. Highly recommend Hostal Go Inn for your stay in Madrid
"very neat hostel, good location, but noisy"

hostal is located on a busy street corner, about 8-10 mins. walk from Plaza de Cibele, public transportation is within good reach. the hostal is fitted very nicely, I liked its modern design. the receptionist was also kind. no extra services, just the basics, but in good quality and this is a hostal, so no need to complain there really. only downside being that despite the fact that the hostal is on the 7th floor, noise sensitive people will definitely need to lock their windows, as the night life there and traffic is kinda heavy, and even so, you cant achieve perfect quiet. if you are searching for tranquility or are sensitive to street noise, this establishment is not for you. otherwise fully recommended.
"Best Kept Secret in Madrid!"

This hotel is exactly as advertised. The location is amazing (walking distance to all the main attractions) and the price cannot be beat. There was no lobby, just a small check-in desk, but it was a perfect trade-off for the price. The room was immaculate and the bathroom was updated and very modern. It was JUST like the photos. The room was quiet, comfortable and even had a/c. This is a great choice for anyone who wants to stay somewhere nice for a lower price!
"Great Bargain Hotel"

This hotel was well located, literally right in front of a metro exit, close to shopping and restaurants, because the reception of the hotel itself is not on the ground floor, it is not bothered by the traffic of the activity around/outside it. This style/set-up of hotels/hostals seems to be quite popular in Spain. I'll admit I was wondering what I had signed up for when I first arrived at the building until I got to my room. It was a great bargain. The rooms were spacious and clean and were exactly as they appeared in the pictures. The reception staff was very friendly. The walls are a bit thin, but I didn't have very noisy neighbors, just one that seemed to be fighting a cough. The previous comments regarding the "ladies of the night" outside the hotel are true, but as the poster said, they don't bother anyone and the area somehow still feels very safe. Also - now this is just nitpicking, but, the shower could definitely use a shelf to put toiletries.

When we booked this place, we expected the photos were making it seem better than it was. Thankfully we were wrong. Not only was our room exactly like the photo, the location couldn't have been any better. Situated right off Gran Via, there is a serious amount of stuff to do as soon as you step out the door. The receptionist was lovely and helpful, the room was safe, secure and so quiet despite the traffic below. The bathroom is clean, the shower is amazing and there is air con. Open the doors to the balcony and you have a stunning view. The bed was comfortable, however I found the pillows very hard but this would not stop me coming back here. Yes, there were a few 'ladies of the night' around the area, but not once did we ever feel worried about this as they don't approach you. Add to this that there is a police station around 200 metres down the road and you're golden. The highest compliment I could offer this place is that if we were ever going back to Madrid, we'd stay here again...it's that nice.
"cheap but great hotel - unless you're bothered by hookers being outside the front door"
02/08/14 swisstraveller2000 Zürich
i stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and was very happy. the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. also, it was very quiet so i got a good night's sleep. staff was nearly never at the reception but that didn't bother me as much as their "i hate life - attitude" when they actually were there for once. i didn't ask them anything so i could not tell whether they would be helpful or not. anyway, this hotel is very centrally located (2 min. to Sol) and right next to the metro station, BUT when you exit the hotel downstairs it happens to be the plaza where hookers wait for customers. if you're bothered by this, don't go to this hotel. i'm totally fine with it and not once felt unsafe cause there's always police around. so if you're open-minded and you'd like to walk everywhere from a clean and comfy hotel, this is the place to go! p.s. internet works fine as well, tv has many stations
