A friend and I travelled to Buenos Aires for a quick three day get away and found this boutique hotel on your website. The surrounding neighborhood looked a little circumspect as we approached in the taxi, but we were mesmerized upon entering. This wonderful hotel gets our wholehearted "thumbs up". The hotel is modern and chic in decor, The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food and wine was artfully presented and very delicious. The area of San Telmo in which the hotel is located is the oldest section of Buenos Aires. It's a little gritty in some areas but we felt safe even at night. We ate in several of the local restaurants and found the food delicious and the rates very affordable. It is convenient for those (like us) who like to walk and cabs are plentiful and cheap. On Sundays, the area becomes party central with the flea market and street musicians. When we were there on Sunday the streets were filled with shoppers and huge crowds moved down Defensa Ave dancing to the beat of bongo drums. It was really fun. Read more

Breakfast good, location great in St Telmo to La defence antiques street and bars and shops, unusual hotel as rooms have windows inward facing not external so at times you feel like you are in a box, staff friendly. We had an amazing stay at Mansion Vitraux. The hotel is beautifully designed and the two rooms we had the pleasure of staying in were both unique and beautiful. Best hotel in the location. We spent 9 days there, breakfast is excellent, service great and the front desk staff willing to help with all queries. The location is great for the real experience, if you want international anominity go to one of the northern locations with little sole. It's the French Quarter of Buenos Aires.

The San Telmo neighbourhood is the birthplace of salsa dancing. For those seeking a boutique hotel in Buenos Aires' San Telmo neighbourhood, I would recommend the place to them. El hotel es intimo y moderno. Los espacios comunes como el spa, la piscina y el Solarium, están muy bien ambientados e invitan a disfrutar. Nuestra habitación la 205, con impronta techno, nos gustó, pero hubo detalles de mal mantenimiento,que opacaron la impresión general que pudimos llevarnos. La habitación tenía un PROFUNDO olor a humedad, las duchas […] dobles se veían magnificas, pero en el piso debajo del deck no circulaba bien el agua. El mecanismo de la cortina black out, no tenía tope al llegar al piso y la pantalla del proyector reproducía la imagen descentrada. Creo que nos tocó una habitación que necesita un relevamiento urgente general. El personal es correcto y muy cordial. I want to say, firstly, that I got what I believe to be a great price as a last-minute deal. So I was very happy with the hotel for that price. Good points included high quality of linen and devinely comfortable bed; moody lighting; great location in the heart of San Telmo; quirky decor; sofa in room; the roof terrace with a great pool & deck; friendly […] front desk staff; lovely atmosphere in pool room; decent choice of foods at breakfast. Bad points were that generally needs touching up in terms of maintenence (pool had cracks all over, there was tape on the piping in my bathroom, my TV was huge & flatscreen, but malfunctioning, the room smelt a bit damp when I went in although this was solved by heating/ac); bad coffee as standard - guests have to PAY $6 for NESPRESSO which is not what I call good coffee; no drinks making facilities in rooms; poor wait staff at breakfast - you sit at a big long bar with other guests for breakfast which is fine, but I had to ask for the waiter to clear the plates from the last guests around me; sauna took ages to heat up - on a timer- so I didn't use it in the end; the housekeeping was not up to scratch for me - I filled the hotel in on all the problems. It has the appearance of a 4*, but lacks some of the finishing and details (eg. tea & coffee in the bedroom; maintenance) that would truly place it in that category. L'hotel non corrisponde assolutamente ad un4stelle!motivi:-le stanze non hanno finestre,ma solo vasistas,per giunta rivolti sulla hall(minuscola)/sala colazioni,con conseguente aria viziata,umidità,rumori,e soprattutto,mancanza di privacy!infatti i vetri sono trasparenti,e dall'interno dell'hotel si vede dentro le camere!aldilà di questo,all'arrivo […] ci hanno dato una camera al piano terra,buia,con lavabo e doccia ad un metro dal letto,senza porta,non vi dico...Abbiamo chiesto di cambiarla,ci hanno dato x loro la camera migliore,sulla via Carlos Calvo al primo piano,quindi ci vedevano dalla strada, e la notte...un delirio!i vasistas non si chiudevano bene,quindi non abbiamo dormito per le voci,il traffico+un tombino che sbatteva!alle 7 hanno iniziato ad arrivare i fornitori della parilla(ristorante a base di carne)confinante con l'hotel,si sentivano persino i loro discorsi dal letto!abbiamo cambiato una terza stanza,la n. 207,all'ultimo piano,con tutti i problemi delle precedenti,stavolta vista (e visti)dalla piscina,almeno silenziosa!Peccato che dal famoso vasistas entrava l'odore della carne cotta nel ristorante sotto,e il pavimento aveva dei rigonfiamenti che facevano inciampare se non si stava attenti!sulla SPA,che dire,è al sottopiano,senza finestre,la "piscina"è una vasca in cemento,di circa3x10 mt.,la sauna è claustrofobica!il problema è che avevamo già pagato,se no saremmo andati via!uniche note positive:i ragazzi/e della reception,gentilissimi+la abbondante colazione! Excelente servicio, una gran ubicación y un buen desayuno a la carta hacen innecesario que el Hotel falsee la información sobre las piletas. La exterior es relamente pequeña y la vista no es la mostrada en la foto del sitio web. De nado contracorriente ni hablar. Pese a ese detalle un muy buen hotel.
