Parking was two blocks away. Check in took forever. When my boss went to his room, the bed was unmade and the food trays were on the floor. Obviously the room had not been cleaned. booked this hotel because of the reviews we saw on line. They say you can't judge a book by its cover, but you can definetly judge this hotel by its reviews. The location was perfect, right outside the main area attractions. Hotel provides FREE parking. Directly across the street is a grocery store, a theater group, and restaurants surround the area. […] We drove to the mall, 5 mins away parked the car, and hopped on the Metro. What more could you ask for. The front desk was very accomdating, thank you Mallory!... the only negative was the breakfast, the hostess was more of an Army Drill Sergant, and the food was fair. LOL, the indoor pool, if thats what you wanted to call it was more of a lap pool, but thats ok. Hotel was across the street from a park. It also had an outdoor area where guest can sit and enjoy, but the weather was not warm enough, but plan to use it on our next visit in the Fall. Read more

I think this was a very nice hotel. My room was clean and spacious. The hotel itself was new and well-maintained. I liked free parking and free internet; these are kind of services other hotels in the area do not offer for free. The hotel is located in a nice yuppie neighborhood, with lots of places to eat and hang out within a walking distance. One […] downside was that the parking lot was not on the premise (had to walk a block, on the 4th floor of a parking deck). But again, it's free so I probably shouldn't complain about it. Lower score on comfort because I dont understand rationale for having drapes that dont close in a hotel room. They were fixed to the sides of the windows. Sunlight comes in pretty brightly, even on 3rd floor...every thing else about space seemed pretty well thought out. PS great breakfast, esp if you have kids!

Customer service in the restaurant was outstanding - the ladies were super friendly every day. The front desk staff were a little gruff and the carpets in the room were a bit musty. But the rooms were clean and the location was great.

Sherlington is a nice little quiet community. A little expensive but there is a grocery store, and a variety of restaurants in the area. The hotel was very nice accomodations, rooms are clean and well kept. Parking is in a garage across the street which was a little inconvenient but no big deal. This hotel is very well kept and maintained. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The location is excellent and within a block of many restaurants and even a grocery store if you stay is extended. The only draw back was that the remote printing functionality didn't work the way it should. I hooked my laptop directly to the printer to get it to work. The hotel is in a nice area with lots of dining and some shopping. There is a grocery store across the street which was nice since the room has a fridge and microwave. However, it is not close to the metra station and the hotel shuttle only leaves every hour. I spent too much time trying to get to the city that the money savings was overshadowed. We had a difficult pulling up in front of the hotel, especially from where the parking garage is. Upon walking in, the hotel looks amazing! However, if I had to pay full price I would have gone somewhere else. The hotel is more business oriented than family, however, it is very quiet and in a FANTASTIC location. There is a grocery store across the street, […] restaurants galore, and the bus station is within walking distance (a few blocks) as well! Downsides are that during the week (we went on a Thursday) the pool opens at 5pm instead of all day like on the weekends which I didn't know, and I booked the hotel because of the indoor pool. The beds were super hard (after an hours nap upon arrival my hips hurt...and I'm only 27). The biggest thing I didn't like about the hotel was that we were on our family vacation and we were on a budget, which was one of the reasons we chose the hotel because of the rate we got online, but instead of keeping your credit card on file they actually charge it and then refund the charge 3-5 days after checking out which we were never informed of! The Rooms are very clean, plenty of room (we have a 4 year old) with plenty of room! We would definitely recommend the hotel overall, as we plan to go back IF we can get the discounted rate we had this time, otherwise it is NOT worth the full price. Read more

This was a wonderful hotel. The free hotel shuttle picked us up at the airport and took us to the metro stop and picked us up every day of our stay. They also took us to the airport when we left. It was just ok, location was very convenient, parking was not convenient,,it is a seperated building about 300 feet away rrom the hotel on the 4th floor.,the bedscwere supposed to be sleep number matressess but they were haed as cement. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was FREE and easily accessible. Hotel was easy to find and at the edge of a very quaint area with many shops within walking distance. FREE shuttle to and from the Metro station (Pentagon City) was very nice. The only drawback regarding this hotel was the mattress on the bed--it was HARD AS A ROCK. Our stay was great. The only bad thing was the wonderful view of a BRICK WALL! My sisterinlaw's room had a GREAT VIEW of the nearby park. There is a Harris Teeter just across the street right at the parking deck which was well lit and felt safe. The area was very dog friendly as most of the resturants had dogs water bowls out. The room was clean and quiet. Service was good but not exceptional. Great location with restaurants, shops, theaters. Parking was nearby and free. Downside it was not near a Metrorail station but a shuttle bus was provided to stop at Pentagon City.
