Royal Exhibition Hotel - Surry Hills

Worst hotel I've ever encountered or heard of. You check in at the bar of a gambling lounge. Pretty sure the place is a brothel. We did not stay and evacuated immediately.

The location couldn't be better--right across the street from Central Station, from which you can catch a train to anywhere, including the airport. The sports bar on the ground level was fun, and the room was adequate. My main complaint is the lack of wifi--something I didn't notice when I booked the hotel. Hotspots are difficult to find in Sydney, […] and I needed to connect with my laptop to get some work-related stuff done. Wifi has become a standard service at even the cheapest backpacker hotels, so this property will need to add it soon to remain competitive. For the price, this place is hard to beat. It isn't a five star place so if you go in with reasonable expectations, it's one of the better places to stay for someone on a budget.

The hotel is no frills, located in a local pub. On weekends, you may need to check in at the bar, but other than that it is like a typical budget hotel. The rooms, if not modern or filled with amenities, are adequate for the price and the location is great. Room was very small. Bathroom was renovated, very clean and shining. Close to Central Railway station and lots of cafes and resturants in the area. Great bistro with good food for lunch and dinner. Good selection of wines.

The Royal Exhibition Hotel is very conveniently located on the South side of Central Station in Sydney. She looks very old but the rooms were generous and very comfortable. Fortunately a previous commenter had indicated that check-in is at the bar, that was priceless information because there isn't a reception desk. We stayed at the REH for one night on our way back from a cruise. The Hotel is very conveniently located just opposite Central Station. The room was spacious and clean. シドニーによくある、ホテルという名のパブです。パブの上の階に泊まれます。パブだからフロントなんかありません。パブのカウンターでチェックインして鍵を貰います。後は出入り自由です。パブの上の階なので、夜はうるさいかもです。場所は駅前なので、ものすごく便利です。パブとしても便利なので、パブのお客さんは沢山います。大騒ぎしています。あと、部屋は驚く程広かったです。
