It's a while since I satayed at The Rothley Court hotel and it was as good as I remembered. I would recommend a visit for the charm and comfort of the hotel.

Looks nicer from the outside. A little tired inside, but adequate. Apparently it is due for refurbishment soon, this will make a huge difference if done properly. Staff were very helpful, and my evening meal in the bar was excellent. I would recommend, but don't expect grandeur!

Good hotel, fantastic level of history and character, but the hotel doesn't make the most of this. The adjoining rooms are more like a travel lodge and so again a missed opportunity. However the hotel still has enough character to make a visit worth while. Facilities in room were good, room was very clean. Plumbing rather noisy, especially during the night..Service at breakfast was haphazard. Some were served quickly, others had to call for service.Waitress service could be improved. Quiet location and good sized car park.Inviting selection of malt whiskies.

Rothley Court is a beautiful building , set in attractive grounds . It's slightly shabby appearance may not suit everyone but we found it comfortable and the staff courteous and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Excellent position to meet up with friends before going onward to Scotland. Hotel very obligingly allowed us to leave car for a couple of nights. Were able to have meal on return due to excellent hours in restaurant. Very pleasant surroundings, garden etc. Liked the historic side. Excellent value for Sunday night stay.

The room was advertised at £105.00 if I had paid that I would have been very disappointed. This was a room the hotel would struggle to let, it had a feel of, lets stick it on hotels.com. I was wrenched from my bed at 6.15am with the fire alarm going off, it was switched off after about 30 seconds. When I checked out there was no explanation or apology […] from the staff, if I had not mentioned it they would not have. We are thoroughly pleased that we had booked Rothley Court Hotel. The buildings are very interesting when arriving. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed Light Bites in the bar area, hot and tasty. We slept well in a large comfortable bed in a well-appointed room. There is enough variety to satisfy anyone for breakfast.

Check in was rushed. Room provided was in need of a refresh. Bed was not comfortable. Leaky guttering meant the dripping of water prevented us from sleeping. The breakfast service was a real highlight, food tasted fresh and there was a good range of options.

Beautiful location and hotel, full of original features and history. Judging by the smell, the receptionist had just come off a cigarette break to serve me and there were no toilettries in my room which I had to phone for. My room was in the old servant quarters which was pleasant but it's a good job I am no taller than 5'10'' for showering in the 'attic […] room'. Great breakfast and pleasant service at breakfast. My first time at the Rothley Court and I was very impressed. An imposing building full of character set in its own grounds.I had a very comfortable single room, at the side of the hotel, with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and despite their being a wedding reception on at the hotel, did not hear any noise at all, it's one of the quietest […] bedrooms I have stayed at! The hotel advertises that there is a bus stop just outside that takes you into Leicester City Centre in 15 minutes. No such bus stop exists and consequently we ended up spending £50 on taxis. The room was nice and clean, plenty big enough for two of us, although the floor was very creaky so we were glad to be on the top floor! Service at breakfast […] was poor, took half an hour to get glasses for the juice and after receiving our meal we requested extra toast that never materialised. The main historic buildings, where the bar and restaurant are located are full of character and well maintained. The mews block where our room was located was a little tired and in need of re-decoration. However the room was clean and well maintained with all the facilities you would normally expect.
