Classic "listed" property in the west end with a cozy "homely" atmosphere; well-prepared food and generous breakfast offering; staff responsive and accommodating when called upon to help with travel glitches. Great place for people watching, too, as it is a popular venue.

I don't usually follow up with reviews, but felt as if i should with this hotel as we were so impressed with the room, staff, (mini bar). We have told lots of people about the hotel since, highly recommended! Well done guys!

pleasant; was in town for the Glasgow Film Festival; all was accessible, the theatres and such, good bars/restaurants only a small skip away

First, this hotel is ideally situated -- in walking distance to many key sites in Glasgow and great shopping, restaurants and theatres. The rooms are really comfortable -- spacious bedroom and bathroom, comfy quilt and pillows. And super CLEAN! The buffet breakfast is quite a spread -- cooked breakfast of sausages, eggs, baked beans, all sorts of breads, granola and yoghurt, and cheeses. Even a cappucino/latte machine and a variety of fresh juices. The best is that the welcome you receive from the front desk and their friendly help and support throughout your stay will make you feel very well looked after! I will definitely come back to this hotel again and I recommend it highly!

Cool, modern and full of tech... which mostly worked! Couldn't turn the air conditioning off and the iPhone docking station didn't work. But the room was very modern, free wifi and movies and VERY comfortable bed. Will be back

"Lovely Getaway !"
Lovely location right on the lake. Staff are both helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. Bathrooms are up to date. Breakfast was excellent. "Stunning location but food variable"
The hotel is in a stunning location by the Lake of Mentieth. Very enjoyable either as a view over breakfast or dinner. The hotel is clean and the staff are generally pleasant enough. Rather let down by the food though - a shame as it seems to be using some good quality ingredients. The restaurant is OK but pricey for what it is. The breakfast was definitely […] variable. Our first morning I was given sausages that were clearly undecooked. I pointed this out to the server who said "Oh I'll tell the chef". Never heard anything more from anyone, although the next day I did have to wait more than 30 minutes for a simple bacon and egg. I suspect that this was just not very good managemnet rather than any intent though. I would really like to recommend this place but would definitely not recommend the sauasages! "Good option"
If you are looking for a good getaway which is peaceful serene and romantic, this is a great option. The view is beautiful from the hotel and the town of aberfoyle is a 5 min drive. Not much to do other than relaxing in the hotel which is great as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
