First let me say the the staff at Grovefield is exceptional and quite accomodating. There is absolutely the feel of a lovely country home.

This is a great little hotel, but what everyone should know is there aren't really any hotels on airport property. They all require a bus ride. But the most important realization is that Terminal 5 is in the middle of nowhere and a long way from any other terminal. Therefore the Premier Inn is not onside. The next thing to know is the 423 bus is a FREE ride to and from Terminal 5. You don't need to pay for the overpriced H shuttles. Just hop on and pay attention to your stop. From Heathrow the Premier in will appear on the left once you're on Bay Road. Watch for the White Horse Pub as your marker that you're getting close. Great staff to help you with local transport and tell you where to find things like UK mobile phones.

Wi fi never did work, even though the clerk gave us instructions. Good location in a little village near Basingstoke. The hotel looks picturesque from the street, however this is the restaurant part of the building and the actual hotel is at the back, looking very square & grey. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with our reservation and we had to wait almost an hour for our room to be ready, which was a bit of an […] inconvenience as we were going to a wedding and ended up having less than an hour to get ourselves ready. The hotel was convenient for access to and from M3, is located across road from station, so can be quite noisy with train traffic. I stayed on 26/07/2012, it was very warm outside and even hotter in hotel in places. My room was very hot and located towards front of property. There were workmen resurfacing roof when i arrived at 4pm, although this work […] was finished for the day at 4.30, the smell of fresh tarmac lingered well into the night. My bedroom and bathroom overlooked the roof work area. There was no air conditioning, so to try and reduce the heat in the rooms, window ventilation was essential, but that brought with it the tarmac odour. I asked for a fan for the room, the hotel only had 1, despite the hotel having 39 bedrooms, sadly another guest had been given it. Read more

The location was very easy to find, just off the M3. After a mixup in the booking procedure, the Raven staff were fantastically helpful to find us another room. We had arrived early and they were able to get our room ready first. We were travelling with a baby, so housekeeping asked us our preferences for the cot/bed. Just the little things, like not using yesterday's coffee pots for today's teapot, and fast service for taking your order. Good for an inexpensive stopover on our journey. Convenient location less than 5 minutes from the M3. Clean reasonably sized room and bathroom. Breakfast was good and normal pub food available in the evening.

Stayed for one night on a business trip. Check-in was quick and easy, no hanging around like others have reported. Room clean and free wifi was quick and reliable. Food in the restaurant for dinner was brilliant. Breakfast not so good but still fine for what you pay. Only negative was the pillows were very lumpy!

OK for price paid. Room too hot - can't open windows. had to discard Duvet and sleep inside cover (as a sleeping Bag) Food quite good but menue far too big and who wants chips with almost everything. Bar staff argumentative and not wishing to comply with customers request.
