All Seasons is an an excellent central Auckland location and in this respect is good value, but it is very much a case of 'you get what you pay for'. The room was very small and the bathroom more of a side closet. I had a problem with the open shower and flooded the bathroom! Also the wooden slats on the bed kept falling out of line and the bed would […] collapse under me. When I asked if someone could fix it I was told maintenance would not be available until the following day so I fixed it myself as best I could! Amenities were basic but adequate for my short stay. One of the elevators was out of order which made coming and going take longer that it should for those of us on high floors. It is half the price of other hotels located downtown and I would rate it one notch above a youth hostel. It was clean and surprisingly quiet. Staff were courteous. Read more

The All Seasons Auckland, off of Queen Street is right in the heart of downtown, making it easy to walk to most major tourist sites and public transportation. The hotel is modern, but could use some upkeep! My room had a kitchenette and bathroom with a shower, but you had to rent the pots and pans, plus the drain in my shower flooded every time I used […] it for more than 2 minutes. The worst part was that there were small blood stains on my blanket and dots of mold on one wall. Those things shouldn't have been overlooked, in my opinion. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, however. I think some of the hostels are actually cleaner and offer more for the price. This was a disappointing hotel. Basic room requirements were lacking such as a bed side light and clothes hangers. I had to buy my own hangers but despite being over 6 foot could only just reach the clothes rail in the strangely designed cupboard. My bed was not made up for 3 days and a disco outside played loud music until very late making sleep very […] difficult. On the final day both lifts were out of order and I had to drag my case down 9 floors. The hotel seemed determined to get as much money out of guests as possible. The internet was 6 dollars per half hour when much cheaper was available in the city. Even left luggage required a charge. I would recommend giving this hotel a miss unless on a very strict budget. 18 floors overall however the building is not wide. There are two elevators however during my stay, only one elevator was operational. As I was staying on the 17th floor, this made getting up and down a little tedious. The room is tiny due to the width of the building so this would really suit budget / short stay travellers. I'm writing this from the hotel at 1:42am on a Saturday Night / Sunday morning. I'm up at this time because there appears to be two nightclubs and a major fight happening in my room at the same time. During the day this is a decent location, easy walking distance to all the main places you'd want to visit and with good choices of food etc nearby. Unfortunately I don't want to be in a nightclub when I'm trying to sleep. As for the room itself - a shoebox with mould everywhere and a curtain that appears moth-eaten judging by the number of holes in it. I'm here as the last stop of a journey that has taken me overland from Beijing to Auckland. I've stayed in all kinds of places, but this is the worst of them. Our stay at the Ibis Styles Hotel was less than enjoyable. Maybe for a one night stay it would be suitable but for anything upwards of three nights it is unacceptable. Cleanliness of the bathroom was unacceptable with black mold spots on the ceiling and dirty shower curtain. The room was very small with an television with no reception. The bed felt […] as if we were lying on plywood with a thin foam layer over it. At one point housekeeping opened the door while I was in a state of undress after I had told them not to enter and had a "do not disturb" sign displayed. The only real redeeming feature of the Ibis Styles was the location, being near-by to Queen street and the water front, however this proximity to the road does make for a great deal of noise despite paying for a room on a higher floor to avoid this. Also, although beyond the hotel's control, one of the two elevators was broken during the entire course of our stay, this made going up and down stairs an ordeal. Read more

Horrible! -FILTHY, the room was absolutely filthy! -Room was totally run down! -No plates or cutlery... Only two cups and two spoons!! -No extra bedding! -On top of the filthy bathroom, every time you shower you end up with a flood as the plug is higher than the floor!! -The room is SO dark... -When the cleaners (HA!) come around they knock once […] and then quickly open the door. Most of the time the knock woke me up which had me scrambling trying to get to the door, but once it didn't wake me up and by the time I did there was a strange man walking into my room! -Noisy! Between the people walking on the street, cars, buses, street cleaners etc a full unbroken nights sleep is practically impossible! But the worst is yet to come! Nowhere did I see anything mentioning the NIGHT CLUB right next to the hotel! It is so loud you cannot sleep! We were on the eighth floor so not close, but on two nights ended up being kept awake from 10 pm to 5.30 am!!!!! The first night I ended up calling noise control who had had other complaints and said it is a new club and they were having trouble getting them to follow the rules. Second night I just gave up and ended up lying there fuming. The music was SO LOUD that it was vibrating our beds!! Absolutely awful! So, onto the very few positives!! -Location. -The beds were comfortable. -Little balcony that overlooked the sky tower. All in all, totally ABISMAL!! Read more

The room rate was low and this was reflected in the quality - tiny rooms and renovation work in progress. Fine for students, backpackers but if any room space is needed, but elsewhere. This is not a typical IBIS hotel.

Room is extremely small and the bed is a double size rather than a queen bed. There was no bedcover, only a plain white sheet covering the blanket. The sheet had a burn hole in it and one of the towels had a hole. The pillows were flat and lumpy. No additional blankets or pillows were provided.A kettle, mugs and teaspoons are provided but no dishwashing […] liquid or cleaning utensils. During my three night stay the cups were never washed when the room was serviced. The towels were changed daily but apart from that the room did not appear to be serviced or cleaned in any way. The TV was extremely small and there was no reception for TV1, TV2 or Prime. There are two lifts in the hotel for the 17 floors; however during my three night stay there was only ever one lift working; hence a very long wait to get to and from my room. Read more

My daughter and I stayed 3 nights. The location of the Hotel is great. Close to everything and transport options. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. We had problems with our fridge and this was fixed quickly.Our room was well serviced. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and tidy. Overall we were both completely disappointed. The website description did not match up to our stay itself. First we asked if we could have an early check in as had a morning flight from Wellington. Got there at 8.30am wanting to leave bags untill 10am check in (like stated) got told we couldn't untill 2pm. Had to then pay extra money just to leave 2 […] hand luggage bags in the hotel. Found some of the front office staff rude and unprofessional, and it seemed to be such an effort to help us with directions. i made the mistake of booking this for the weekend and with a few bars near by, got only a couple of hours sleep each night due to the noise. The room was tidy and staff friendly, but the bathroom stunk. One of the two lifts doesn't work permantly too. On my last day, the remaining one broke down also.

Me and my partner stayed at Ibis styles for two nights. On first glance the lobby of the hotel is very artistic and well presented. Our room was very small (which was expected) but we had a small balcony which was great. Location was also fantastic right next to queen street. Our only problem was the floor in our bathroom had been poorly built and was […] not flat, every time we would have a shower the whole bathroom would flood and the water would sit there unable to go down the drain. everytime we wanted to go the bathroom we had to walk through a big puddle of water. I contacted reception about this and they said they would send somebody up to clean it, they never came and it took me 3 times going down there to get them to. After they cleaned it up as soon as we had a shower it would flood again. I was quite disappointed that they did not get us to change rooms or do anything to make up for this. The lift was also broken and the other was very slow and could only take six people at a time. you could not take the stairs so it was a 5 minute plus wait everytime you wanted to get to your room. not very satisfied and would not recommend this hotel.
