I stay once every month. This visit there was slight problem using shuttle but this was exception. Usually there is no problem. All staff pleasant & very helpful. Overall, staying there is usually great. I will continue stay whenever I need to stay in Stamford.

This is a really neat hotel right in the downtown area. However, since opening, they have not kept up on maintenance and it is starting to cross over into the "seedy" category. Heat/Air did not work, sheets were old and threadbare, and some really bad stains in the carpet. If hygene is an issue for you, I would recommend another place.

We stayed a week and found the hotel very comfortable, very nicely decorated, modern style. Very good breakfast included in rate. Parking also included, under bldg and a bit tight. Walk to mall, restaurants and train. Would stay again.

Hotel Zero Degrees is a gem of a hotel located in downtown Stamford. It is walking distance from the Stamford train station and many restaurants and night clubs. Expect a warm greeting, a very functional pleasant room and a complimentary "continental" breakfast that is as close to made to order as you are going to get anywhere.

I picked this hotel over a major chain hotel in the same category, only due to it's reviews. And, I can say that I was more than happy with the hotel. Perfect condition; decorations; staff; bedding; bathroom; and cleanliness. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

I stayed here for two nights. Hotel is great overall. Located close to metro station and main st for dining, free parking directly under hotel, elevators are key card secured, free breakfast. The hotel is very comfortable and clean. There is a slight smell of chlorine in the outer lobby, but that is probably due to people using the Y's pool. Bathrooms are very nice, with great shower spray. The major problem with the hotel is that the only meal they offer is breakfast -- which, by the way,, was very good. This was our second stay at the hotel. You can't beat the value. The surrounding neighborhood is nothing to write home about but the hotel is within walking distance of the train station (during daytime -- take their shuttle at night). Our room could have used a little TLC, it was clean but the wallpaper was in need of replacement.

I would have given the hotel a 5 star as it was a great hotel (nice, clean, relatively new, free wifi, free breakfast, close to train station, heart of Stamford)...but the wifi wasn't working during my stay. Since this was a business trip, wifi/internet connection is very important.

The positives: Nice, helpful front desk staff; nice lobby & design; 2 blocks from train station w easy access to NYC; free wifi and parking; above average fitness facilities; good breakfast with very attentive staff. The negative: too much emphasis on design and not enough emphasis on maintaining the condition […] of the hotel. Specifically: bathroom grout & caulk missing or mildewed; hallway carpet badly stained and one of the dirtiest hotel carpets I've ever seen; towels well used with lots of hanging threads; vanity coming apart; tub drain very slow so I was standing ankle deep in dirty water after a 10 min shower; hotel information folio talks exclusively about the hotel's design and location, and doesn't have helpful info like where to find ice machines, how to connect to the internet, how to get a wake up call and TV channel listing. Good staff at even a very late check-in. The free breakfast was better than most - hot eggs, good choices and several choices of things to add to the oatmeal. The room was nice and the bed and shower comfortable.

The staff was super, the breakfast slightly above average, the room was great and cool. The only complaint was the AC/Heat unit. It is the typical unit found in cheaper hotels that goes on and off all night long. And when it […] goes on, it makes a "clunk" and the same for off. I would have expected a hotel of this quality/price to have a centralized heating and cooling system - or at least a higher quality wall unit. The unit did not have the option of running the fan continuously, so you are awaken each time the AC/Heat kicks on - disrupting the night of sleep. I had low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. The major downside was the comfort of the bed. It was close to everything, clean, and the staff was friendly.
