Our stay was ok except there was no one at the desk several time during the stay. They only clean rooms every 7 days? We have stayed in suites before and they have always cleaned our rooom everyday...and the bed was not so comfortable.. however our over all stay was ok...

We used Candlewood Suites for an overnight stay on our trip to San Antonio from Dallas. We plan on using them for longer stays in the future. This particular one was so new you could still smell it. It had a nice size kitchen which is great for budget minded vacationers. We'll use it again. No doubt about it.

Needed a clean, simple hotel to stay in while attending SXSW in Austin. Every other hotel in the area hiked their prices up to take advantage of attendees, but this hotel was very reasonably priced and provided much more than expected. We had a relaxing stay at this hotel-suite. The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was clean and the floor was quiet. I was impress with how economical this suite was and all of the amenities were a plus. If I had one minor issue, it would be the location. Even though this suite is only 25 miles outside of Austin, it is hidden behind another […] hotel and on a pretty abandoned side of the highway. Most of the best eating places and shopping is up the road headed north or on the opposite side of the road headed south. It would have been better if the noise from the refrigerator was not so loud and the noise coming from other rooms was not so loud. It made it hard to stay asleep. Each time the refrigerator turned on or somebody came down the hall talking it woke me up.

Although the hotel is fairly new there are a few problems with staying there. First of all it is very inconvenient to get to. The hotel is located right on Int 35 and if you are traveling south it is a simple exit onto the service road. If traveling north you must drive quite a ways past the hotel and make a u-turn back to the hotel. The only other […] way is to wind around through the surrounding housing addition to enter from the back of the hotel. The other problem that I found was that they hotel only has maid service once every seven days ( starts on your arrival day). If you are only staying one day there is no problem but if you are staying longer and want clean sheets or towels prior to the seventh day you must exchange your sheets and towels at the front desk and then make your own bed. This particular Candlewood is in very good conditions, i think it's new or recently renewed, everything looks fine, it's a 2 star hotel so you cannot expect a super luxury rooms and service, you have to pay much more for that. For the price it's an excellent choice, specially for one person because rooms are small and they don't have 2 beds rooms.

For the price and value, you couldn't beat this. Great room with a small kitchenette..clean and nice linens and allt he comforts of home. Staff was great--I had a personal issue that the staff was more than accomdating in attending to. The room was very nice. Kitchenette came in handy as we were traveling with 3 children... Nice tv too (kids were glad it had a DVD player with it). There were a couple small maintenance issues, but nothing major. The pantry (store) and borrowing movies in lobby were nice bonuses. Wish they served breakfast, though.
