he Floris Hotel turned out to be a very good value as compared to others in and around main sightseeing part of Brugge. The staff were friendly and helpful. Be sure to call to reserve parking as the website did not specify that requirement. We parked on the street and, due to some misinformation, received a 30 euro ticket. The beds are comfortable, but are actually two twins pushed together instead of the double we expected. The rooms are larger than I'm accustomed to in Europe. Breakfast is hot and provided a good start to our three days. One of the outstanding qualities is the provisions for families travelling with children. They provided a crib for my granddaughter on request. There is also a large play area just off of the lobby that allowed us to watch my grandson play while we enjoyed breakfast. It is a short 10 minute walk to the market area with a stroller and a walking 3 year old. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and recommend The Floris as a very comfortable stay and a good value.

Great, clean room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Adjacent to the train station and easy walk to downtown Brugge. We walk most places, so it is nice to drop the bags off and then walk a bit farther for the sites. Parking is inexpensive. The shower wall is frosted glass, so fine for couples, but could be uncomfortable for shy types. The only issues we had were with the window (doesn't open very far and the room was warm) and when the water hits the shower door, it gets on to the floor, so we had water all over the floor. The water temp of the shower was not consistent, but not so bad that it was too uncomfortable.

This is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff is really nice and helpful. The location is about a two minute walk from the main square and all the shops and restaurents. The breakfast is a really great addition to the room as well. The only con is that the wifi only works on the first floor. We would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

We loved our stay at the Egmond. It is more like a B&B than hotel, which we enjoyed. It was in a great location - next to very quiet, beautiful park, but 10 minute walk to town center. (It was in between the train station and town center which we found very convenient.) The only small issue was that bathroom was small, but that didn't bother us. The room was very large for a European hotel.

My husband, mother-in-law, toddler, and I recently spent one night at the Mondo Hotel in Ostend. I can not say enough about this hotel. It was fabulous in every way! The staff spoke perfect English. The complimentary breakfast was lovely. We had a "superior" room (two rooms sharing a bathroom) which allowed my mother-in-law to have her own room at no […] additional cost. The beds were comfortable. The location is ideal- two blocks from the beach and two blocks from a town square with many restaurants. Our only complaint was that we were kept awake most of the night due to howling wind, but that has nothing to do with the hotel. The room stank, it was tiny and the shower curtain was growing mould up about a foot from the bottom. The floor had a strang matting which was the sorce of the smell, it was very dirty and wet. Breakfast was surprisingly good.

The hotel was nice but perhaps not advertised in the best manner, when we arrived I asked about where to park and was given a map of the town with parking areas marked on it which were blocks away from the hotel. I mentioned that on hotels.com it said the hotel had a parking garage, they said yes but only 9 spaces for all their rooms on a first come […] first serve basis! Because we didn't feel like leaving our car outside in a busy town centre we were forced to fork out a further 22 Euros parking in an underground parking by the casino. I wish I had known this because I specifically booked a hotel that said it had parking! If that doesn't bother you, then it's a nice hotel and not a far walk from the shopping centre and beach. But as I said we were expecting parking so finding that to be non-existent was very disappointing indeed. Read more

In my opinion, wherever I travel, it is the people i encounter that make a place worth returning to or not, more than any other thing. All the people in Belgium seem to be wonderful, helpful, educated, charming souls, (even the police vehicles have Polite written on them - and they are) and none more so than the 6 staff members i saw and spoke to in […] my short stay. I travelled with 3 children and a baby, my husband could not come with me, and I was nervous about language barriers and different cultures and food, but as soon as I spoke to the receptionist, all nerves left me. He and his colleagues are fluent in French German and English and were completely calm and professional. How wonderful. The only imperfect thing was the map on the website. It implied that Ostend is a small simple town, and I struggled to find the hotel on my assumption, until the kind, aforementioned Polite (police) lady directed me. Proche de la plage et d'un beau parc. Mais chambre plutôt sale et mal aménagée (peu/pas de rangements, pas de tablette dans la sdb, peu de lumière). Il y a, à mon avis d'autres hôtels plus proche de la mer mieux et au même prix.

Mais la chambre n'était pas propre.des cheveux dans la salle de bain, le fauteuil du bureau cachait quelques surprises, la glace de l'ascenseur était pleine de traces de doigts. Bref, un joli endroit qui va vite se dégrader par manque d'entretien.et c'est dommage.Le prix des chambres n'est pas en relation avec la prestation vendue.

Vi var to voksne og to barn på 9 og 13. Hotellet ligger to kvartaler unna strandpromenaden. Det er egentlig en fordel at det ikke ligger på stranden, hvor det er en del liv og bråk. Det er uansett bare 5 minutter å gå til sentrum og stranden. Enkel frokost, men tilstrekkelig. Resepsjonen er ikke døgnbemannet, men det var intet problem for oss. Rommet […] var fint for en familie på 4, fordi vi fikk et rom med to atskilte rom. Vi kom i snakk med eieren, Eric, som også skaffet oss overnatting til ytterligere en natt på et av sine andre hoteller i nærheten. Hyggelig atmosfære, og hyggelig betjening. Anbefales. Read more

Prima overnachtingen gehad met ons gezin (5p) in de ruime, mooie familie kamer. Hotel doet jong en modern aan en ligt bijna aan zee. Ideaal voor kort bezoek aan Oostende en zoals bij ons voor een dagje Plopsaland. Verwacht geen (overbodige) luxe. Goede prijs/kwaliteit.

Ok es war eine Kalte Jahreszeit…. -10° aber dann möchte man sich doch auch im Hotel mit einer warmen Dusche etwas aufwärmen.... Das war leider nicht möglich, da das Wasser nur lauwarm war. Auch nachdem wir mitgeteilt hatten, dass die Dusche "kalt" bleibt wurde das Wasser nicht wärmer... Zumindest bekamen wir eine zweite Decke zum Aufwärmen. Hotel tres bien situé et tres confortable. Tres bon buffet de petit dejeuner. par contre pas de places dans le parking, du coup tres compliqué pour se garer... Accueil respectueux, par contre la chambre pas prete pour 15h.
