"Great choice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

"2 nights in Vancouver."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.

"Great escape"
Very close to Stanley Park, but away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Vancouver. Quiet, comfortable stay, wonderful pool and gym.
Loved having the Market near us. Hotel was very nice even with the construction going on around it. We were on the street side and it still was very quiet.

"Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier"
Great Hotel! Service was great, rooms were clean and very modern. Location is in a great neighborhood with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Also close to the Sea Bus to take across the bay to get to downtown.

"Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier - Mountain View"
Great room - very clean and had everything I needed from an umbrella to a oversized inroom safe. Wifi was pretty good most of the time, but at peak times in the evening, streaming netflix was an issue. The bed was on the firm side, which is a plus for some and a negative for others. The gym and pool were fairly busy at times (looked like there were […] locals that used it). Not a lot of breakfast options nearby within walking distance, you could either eat at the hotel or walk to the golden arches. Overall it was a great property. Read more

"The Pinnacle - in North Vancouver"
The hotel was very well maintained and comfortable. The work out facilities was great and included a 5 lane 25 meter pool on the third floor with a view of the skyline. It is close to the ferry, fun coffee shops, boutique shopping and movie theatre. I stayed over the New Year's Eve holiday and my room on the 4th floor facing the street was still very […] quiet. I will definitely be staying there again. Read more
"Locked away from Medications!"
My husband and I were locked out of our room on 12/23 and waited for approximately 90 minutes while the staff tried to open our door. My main concern was that my husband and I each have medications, as well as his c-pap machine. I was shcoked that the hotel did not have an emergency process in place. It seemed that when I mentioned the medications and […] my husband's medical device, it was not met with the response I was expecting. Granted, they offered breakfast vouchers, but I don't believe the staff truly understood the seriousness of the situation. I'm diabetic and have rheumatoid arthritis. After the long car ride from Portland, Oregon, (6 hours) I was in dire need of my medications. We simply went out to an event and returned around 11 pm, fully expecting to retire for the evening. I told the staff I needed my medications, and my husband needed his machine, as he suffers from sleep apnea, a serious medical condition. He was forced to sleep without the machine, which is not only bad for his health, but does not allow him to get the sleep he needs. I also had a sleepless night, since without my medication, I was in a great deal of discomfort. We were sent to another room and told the maintenance person would arrive at 6 am. We called down to the desk at 7 and were told they were working on it. Again, I don't know why they simply did not drill a hole to pop the lock, knowing that we were in need of the medications. We were told to go to breakfast and it would be resolved (8 am). A manager came to breakfast around 9. We finally were able to get to our things at 9:30 am. I was greatly disappointed by the way the hotel handled our situation regarding the medications and my husband's machine. As a result, a holiday weekend that we had planned was ruined, since neither of us got sleep the night before and were not 100% due to the fact that we had no access to necessary medications. We had planned a list of activities for Saturday, but due to the previous night, we ha Read more

"Perfect Stay!"
This hotel was just what we hoped for and more on our visit to Vancouver. We enjoyed the bikes that they had to use for free for guests. We biked up to the suspension bridge and had a nice little hike. The workout facility is amazing and all kinds of food places are within walking distance. The staff was very courteous and friendly. We hope to come […] back again and stay longer! Read more
"Excellent Hotel"
this hotel is technically only a 4 star, but they have 5 star service. The staff is courteous and attentive. The location is wonderful. It is a 2 minute walk to public transportation and with Vancouver's system you can go anywhere in the city without needing a car. Vancouver has been a fav vacation spot of mine for over 20 years and after staying here […] I've just found a new favorite hotel! Read more
"Stay at the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier"
DO STAY at this Hotel, we were on vacation in Canada and had just driven in to north Vancouver and booked this hotel on our Iphone. 15 minutes later we drove up and the hotel registration had all our paperwork and keys ready! That is SERVICE! We were more than happy, the beds are comfortable, great surroundings and we had a harbor view room, plus super […] clean and new! The staff is helpful, and caring. We had drinks and appetizers in the bar and then walked around the corner for a great dinner! I love this place and would stay again. Read more
"Clean"
I have a baby and a germafobe. I was comfortable going there and getting our baby sit on the bed. Stayed there an extra night because we thought it was the best we are going to get froma hotel.
"Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier"
We had a great stay and recommend this hotel. All personel was friendly, the rooms are great. The sea bus is very close by and makes it easy to go to downtown Vancouver. We also enjoyed the neighborhood with lots to do right next to the hotel.
I was pleasantly pleased with my entire experience at Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier, Vancouver, BC, Canada. This is my first time booking on Hotels.Com - I wasn't sure what to expect but I would definitely do it again. Thanks!
"Address and access"
hard to find. Not on GPS.
"Perfect Stay"
Beautoful hotel, peaceful and relaxing location (if you don't need to be in downtown Vancover), shopping and restaurants nearby. Absolutely no complaints - will stay here again, without a doubt.
"Pinnacle at the Pier - Vancouver - Market fresh"
I was pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a ''harbor view'' room as opposed the ''mountain view'' room I had booked. I would recommend the harbor view to anyone staying here. The view is amazing both day and night. Though there was construction going on outside, the room was very quiet and peaceful. I didn't hear much neighbor noise and could […] only really hear the construction when I stood outside on the balcony. The room was very comfortable and modern. I loved the layout and everything surpassed my expectations. Located beside the Lonsdale Market, you have a plethora of shops, cafe's and restaurants in your own back yard. A short walk away from the Sea Bus station and from the Key bus station, you can access anywhere in Vancouver quite easily considering their transit system is very reliable. The seabus takes you directly to Waterfront station which links directly to the sky train and is located nicely downtown and near Stanley park. I will be staying at the Pinnacle for any of my future Vancouver visits. I suggest you do to. Read more
"Hated to Leave"
Spacious room, well appointed; prompt, efficient maid service. View of the shipyard below and the Vancouver skyline across the water was wonderful. The Lonsdale Quay next door provided shopping; part of the complex was the Seabus which ferried us across to the Gastown neighborhood of Vancouver. On Saturday morning, a farmers market assembled on the […] walkways around the market, best peaches ever. Restaurants in the mall were very good and there are five or so others on Lonsdale between the hotel and the market. Parking in a garage below the hotel was a fraction of what it would have cost to park at a hotel in the city. An elevator, separate from one that went to rooms, is convenient to all spots. The dining room in the hotel is very nice but predictably pricey. We wanted to find something in the neighborhood for breakfast and were tipped to Moodyville Cafe a block north on Lonsdale. Went there 4 of next 5 mornings. Read more
"Pinnacle at the Pier - North Vancouver BC"
Awesome hotel, great view of harbour, good price & value. Dining room a bit pricey, but great food. Excellent friendly service from front desk staff. Very comfortable room & bed. Good location for public transportation - 'sea bus/ferry' - to Vancouver downtown; nice touristy shopping & restaurants within a block. Only drawback is poorly signed to find […] - use of address on GPS 'Victory Harbor Way' doesn't show up & hotel is new enough it didn't show up on GPS either. Map printed off computer when making reservation gave street info we were able to use to find hotel. Read more
"Very nice North Vancouver Hotel"
The hotel was very comfortable. The room and bathroom were luxurious and I wish we had more time to explore the neighborhood. There is a movie theater within walking distance, along with a good sized drug store and apparently a big marketplace that we didn't get to see. Up a few blocks there are restaurants and shops. The only downside was that we […] did not realize we had to pay extra for parking. We were told it was $8.00 per day but that didn't include two separate taxes that put it up to $10.00 which isn't a lot for city parking, but it would have been nice to know. The pool and hot tub were fantastic but were only open until 9:00. All in all a great hotel. Read more
"Pinnacle was out of the way."
We booked the "Mountain View Room" which actually only had a view of the enormous condo building across the street. We were on the top floor, but still heard traffic all night long. There weren't any quality restaurants within walking distance, and if there were we didn't find them. The only place the front desk could recommend to us was there own over-priced, […] sleepy lounge. The beds were super firm. If you like sleeping on plywood, you'll be very comfortable in this hotel. The neighborhood looked like it was "up & coming" but, wasn't there yet. Most of the nearby shops were newly constructed and vacant. I recommend staying someplace on the other side of the bay near Gastown. Read more

"New Hotel in North Vancouver"
We just loved this new hotel. It is right in the centre of the Lonsdale Quay, very stylish, fabuluosly comfortable lounge. Had breakfast in the restaurant and it was excellent. You can walk out the door and be only a minute to the Quay and 3 minutes to the Sea Bus. The only small issue we had was the parkade needs better signage to find your way into […] the hotel. Got a bit lost and had a few laughs trying to find our way back. I have been back and stayed again and found out that there is a huge pool and weight room, very nice. Would reccomend this hotel to anyone, Loved it! Read more

"great get away from the hubbub of the city"
Had a great time. Breakfast was very good. Went to see Cats at the Queen E. and it was wonderful not to have to stay right in the city with all of the noise. Great community for walking and good choice of restaurants. Would very much like to stay again. Thank you!

"The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier, N. Vancouver, BC"
This hotel has beautiful, comfortable rooms and is 1/2 a block away from the Lonsdale Quay and the Seabus which made it easy to park our car for the weekend and take transit to wherever we wanted to go. The view of Coal Harbour from our room was spetacular at night. The quality and presentation of the food in The Lobby restaurant is great.
Thank you for your wonderful comments. The Lonsdale Quay and Seabus Terminal, as you said, are truly just steps away from are hotel. It does allow easy access to the downtown core of Vancouver without having to deal with traffic or parking your vehicle. It sounds like you booked one of our harbour view rooms which all have fantastic views of Coal Harbour and Vancouver’s “city scape.” I am also glad that you enjoyed our restaurant, I will pass on to our Chef your compliments. We hope to have you back to the hotel next time you are back in Vancouver. Many warm regards,

"A great place to stay - Pinnacle on the Pier"
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and efficient. The location was exceptional and only a seabus away to downtown Vancouver. I would stay there again and strongly recommend it.
"Beware of step in room"
This was a wonderful Hotel, but I have to say the step in the room is very dangerous, resulting with me falling and injuring myself.
"home away from home"
During my recent stay I was delightfully pleased by friendly staff, unique configuration of the room and personal touch of the room deco, for instance, the glass wall sepration of the ensuite, the bathroom pocket door, the shipyard theme photography on the wall, the best quality pillows and sheets, the better-tech coffee mechine....etc.it's very different […] from your "mass - production chain hotels". moreover, the view is beautiful, the surounding is enjoyable, and there are Zuba classes on the pool level every day! can't get any better! I'm local and will use this place as 'home away from home' get away for sure. Read more

"Excellent place to stay!!"
I moved to Vancouver permanently and needed a place to stay until I sorted things out for myself. The Pinnacle was brilliant in every way! Close to everything, just a short seabus trip to downtown and ideally located to access transport. The rooms were immaculate and well cleaned everyday, the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this hotel […] to anyone for either a short or a longer stay. Read more
"pinnacle Hotel - noisy room"
Hotel was fine except that noisy people in adjacent room made sleep impossible from 1:30 to 3:00am. Had to phone the front desk twice. Problem was made worse because there was a connecting door between our room and the noisy room - so the sound insulation was not good. Strongly recommend that if you stay at this hotel insist on a room with no connecting […] door to adjacent room. It was a bad experience - not expected at a 4 star hotel. Read more

"No complain here"
We were local , but for a visitor it would help if they supplied complimentary tooth brush, tooth paste, . . . . Free breakfast and parking would definitely add to the value of this hotel, . . Loved their pool and enjoyed their steam sauna , too bad it went out of service at 8pm, too bad their pool is closed at 9pm , too early, . . . unfortunately their […] dry sauna and spa are not as hot as expected. Neighbouring market just so so , access to downtown by sea bus is wonderful., we had mountain view , but it was more like view of other buildings not the mountain , next time would try the south side view to compare. bed was comfy , Read more
"excellent hotel"
Everything was excellent, clean, professional. Just wish parking wasn't $10, but you can find free parking about 2 blocks east.
we loved evry minute of our stay, the staff are all so accomadating, service is very good and the hotel is spotless, we will definatly be basck.
"Swishy Hotel"
The Pinnacle Hotel in North Vancouver is a real treat. It is located near markets and good restaurants and has the most incredible view of the harbour. The rooms were beautifully apppointed and the bed extremely comfortable. It was well worth upgrading to an ocean view. The teddy bear on the bed is a sweet touch. The staff were very helpful and charming […] and always smiling. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast in the restaurant in the lobby. We plan on returning and this has become our favourite hotel in Vancouver. Read more
"Pinnacle at the Pier Hotel, North Vancouver"
We really enjoyed this near new hotel with beautiful furnishings and excellent location within 2-3 minutes walk of Lonsdale Quay Market and the SeaBus terminal. Appreciated the bathrobes and vanity kits (qtips, emery boards, cotton makeup remover pads) . Very impressed with the quick room cleaning service (we popped out for 30 minutes to grab a bite […] to eat, and the room was cleaned by the time we returned). The bed was comfortable although a bit too firm for our taste (ie. not good for side sleepers).underground parking clean and safe, although slightly tricky finding it the first time (ignore the no-U turn sign and no left turn sign! Parking entrance is beside the hotel's main entrance on the south side of the building). Will definitely stay again. Read more
