"Very nice stay"
I only stayed one night to being there on business and I was very comfortable. My only complaint is the placement of a tree, it completely obstructed my view of the Mt Washington Hotel which is so impressive to look at at night. So that was my biggest bummer. Next time I'll know.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"perfect for a weekend getaway!"
We had a great time. Bummed that the lobby was under renovations but it really wasn't that big of deal. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. We stayed in rm 205, which was recently redone. We had a beautiful view with a private balcony. The housekeeping could've been a little better, ie., sliders to the balcony hadn't been wiped clean […] of smears and fingerprints and sinks and faucets looked a little dirty, but all in all everything else was very clean. (and we really aren't that nitpicky). Had we called them on those two MINOR things, we had no doubt that they would've taken care of it right away. The area itself is just beautiful and we look forward to staying there again in the summer to do a little golfing, horseback riding and zip-lining. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Lodge was OK but if it is to be included in the Omni Bretton Woods Resort, it definitely could use a major renovation. OK to be the cheaper alternative to the Mt. Washington and Bretton Arms but it should not look as old and worn as it is. Things like shabby and dirty outdoor carpeting on stairs and outside passageways, very uncomfortable seating and […] tiny TV make it look more like Econolodge than an Omni property. "The Lodge at Bretton Woods- ok"
Overall, we had a nice, relaxing family vacation. The Omni property offers lots of family friendly activities. However, the Lodge is the last on the property to be renovated and leaves some to be desired. It was clean and comfortable, but doesn't match up to the standards of the rest of the Omni Property. Also, breakfast was expensive in the main dining […] room. There was really no other breakfast option, especially given a child with food allergies. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The area is absolutely beautiful, and the main hotel is gorgeous. But the Lodge is misleading. It says there are 3 indoor pools, etc. but that's for the whole complex related to Omni Hotels. At the Lodge, there's one indoor pool that is accessed from the outside only, meaning one has to go outside in the freezing cold after getting wet. The most lacking […] feature was the fact that there are not even coffee makers in the Lodge room. And since the facility has no features, it's really necessary to go over to the main hotel. Also, we ate in the nice restaurant in the hotel and had the worst service ever. Of say 11 things, I'd say they got 10 things wrong: incorrect orders, dishes cooked opposite of the request, double charge on wine (2x for one glass), etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The map is wrong, the Lodge is located far away from the main hotel, close to US302 on the other side of the road from the hotel. Not a distance to walk when its dark. The shuttle worked fine, and it is pretty close to the slopes. It is also nice that we could use the main hotels facilities. There are no breakfast possibilities at the hotel, and no […] fridge in the room. How do the expect people to get some breakfast? Yes, there are breakfast options in the cafeteria in the ski area.... The room had a good working heating system, which is needed since the wind is blowing in to the room from around the entrance door. We stayed for four days, and one of the days they forgot to clean our room. We beleive that this is overpriced regards what you can get in Twin Mountains. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to slopes, nice pool"
We stayed for a ski weekend. Omni Hotels is working hard to get this former motor lodge up to hotel standards. Some rooms are better than others as they upgrade linens. Rugs still need to be done in all rooms. Not sure how they get around the outdoor (covered) walkway to access the rooms. They are currently doing a major renovation in the lobby area […] to add a lounge and buffet breakfast. Current price reflects the condition of rooms (clean but tired). Good news iis that you have a 1 minute shuttle to the slopes, get discounted lift tix at the front desk and can use all of the facilities at the "big" hotel, including the outdoor pool. The resort owns most of the restaurants in the immediate area, which are decent food (or good food, depending on where you go) but at resort prices. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Motel?? Not worth $200+"
This is a motel in all aspects of the facility with the exception of the staff and the shuttle service available. Not worth $200+, in fact not worth $100, but unfortunately options are limited in the area. We were very disappointed with the accommodations.Genuine Expedia guest review
The Lodge is a great location to the Mt Washington Hotel and Bretton Woods ski mtn. The room was clean and basic. Great place to lay the head after enjoying the main hotel or ski mtn.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
it wasn ok hotel, it was close to the mountain, there was no breakfast the coffee they did have was cold they say they updated it but I could not tell if it was or not look pretty old and rundown to me but for the closest to the mountain it was worth the price after skiing all day the water was hot the bed was okay it would not be my choiceif I wanted […] to stay somewhere nice. "Perfect for what it is"
Reading the previous reviews posted here, I think there might be some misunderstanding about what this property is. Lodge means "motor lodge" and is a classical low-rise layout typical of the motor hotels of the 1920s-1960s. If you are the type of person that needs to feel as if they have "arrived" this place isn't for you. You get affordable, basic […] and clean accommodations on the Mt. Washington resort property. Also, you have access to all of the resort facilities just as if you were staying at the main hotel ($$$$), just call a shuttle van and it appears to take you there in about 5 mins. This can make a nice vacation since everyone can find something to do and the resort has programmed activities and everything can be charged to your room at the lodge. The competition (<15mi) is classical New England lodges, they typically don't have breakfast either and the rooms will be a bit more "run down", but if none of this matters and you won't take advantage of the resort benefits, you should choose this option. At this property, have always had clean rooms and impeccable service (my last trip I accidentally ran down my car battery, a doorman came from the resort and took care of everything in <10 mins). I do agree with the previous posters that there is a good bit of "foot noise" from the ceiling if so ask for a 2nd floor room if this will be an issue. Highly recommended for travelers that have properly set their expectations and desire affordable clean accommodations. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Basic lodging close to the slopes"
Omni now runs the property- on old local motel. It still has the old motel features, limited heat/air control, rug could be updated. Bedding was basic white but clean and on a new pillow top mattress. Room was lacking of plugs except in the mirrored top near the closet and in the bath. Would have loved an in room fridge& microwave for basic breakfast […] before hitting the slopes. Great that lift tix through the hotel are $15 less. Pool area was clean and the kids liked it- even the quick walk in wet bathing suits in the external corridor. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"NEEDS MAJOR UPDATING!"
We booked this hotel last minute and during foliage season in NH. Given the ownership of this hotel as well as its affiliation with the Mt. Washington Hotel, we expected something more. The room was clean but run down and dated! There was a tear in the carpet, it was poorly lit, and the television was small and old! We stay in hotels often and this […] was very Unimpressive! The one plus was the mattress was great! Very comfortable and a great night sleep. As a last resort our stay was fine but it is not a place that we would stay again! Couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend. Astonishing view, great room, quiet and surprisingly comfortable hotel. All activities and restaurants at the eloquent Mt. Hotel is not at all how it is presented on line. Not worth a third of the price, older strip type motel with out dated furnishings and room smelled weird. Balcony they talk about does have mountain view overlooking the parking lot and highway with a large bus in it. Staff was rude and not at all helpful. "Clean but costly"
Room was clean, comfortable & close to the wedding @ The Mount Washington Hotel. But they offered no food or snacks, only coffee in the morning. And there is nothing nearby except the Mt. W Hotel--good but pricey. The cost was high for what it offered, $179 for the room but a hefty $43 "fee".Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Stay Away from this hotel"
I would never recommend anyone to go and stay at this place. When we booked the place we thought that it is an affiliation of the Mount Washington Bretton Woods resort and has to be good. But it took us by surprise, the place was in hopeless condition. The room was humid and was smelling bad. The carpet and sheets were all damp. The bed was like trampoline, […] if my husband turns, I would feel popped in air. There was no breakfast in the place and nothing near by. "Expensive room rate for old and tired motel."
We have stayed at the Bretton Woods Omni Mount Washington which is part of the same "resort". Based on the reputation and price we were surprised to find that the "Bretton Woods Lodge" was really a tired old roadside motel. Mold and discolored caulking around every sealed surface in the bathroom, it was really what we would expect from a one star motel, […] not one with the good Omni / Bretton Woods name! We truly love other Omni resort hotels, just not this one. Next time I will head to either the Bretton Woods Inn or the Bretton Woods Mt Washington Hotel which are both owned by Omni in the same resort area, as we have found in the past both are exceptionally well maintained facilities. Stayed overnight and planned to drive up mount Washington. Had amazing views, located by a few resturants, and a garage. They were doing some building work next to the hotel, which was quite noisey in the morning. Room was nice, and clean.Genuine Expedia guest review

So if you need staff for "enjoyment" of stay don't count on it here. Overall, use of other hotels on resort amenities make it tolerable to stay here.Genuine Expedia guest review
The stay was great. The view is absolutely out of this world. The hotel definitely needs to be upgraded. The room was dank and musty. The girl accepting us at time of check-in was rude. We stayed in a room on the bottom level so it was quite noisy as we had some in the upper room and we could hear everything going on up there until after 11PM and they were up and about by 6AM. (water running, toliet flushing, walking, talking, doors to patio opening and closing, TV) The staff and shuttle drivers were highly professional and enjoyable. "Why is this rated the same as the mt Washington?"
What's disappointment. You think you are staying on they Washington hotel property... But really you feel like an outcast on the street. To say that the lodge rooms are rundown would be an understatement. The decor 60s the bed itself I think was from the 60s as well.... The main hotel across the street is beautiful and the views of it from this dump […] of a lodge only make you feel more disappointed for cheeping out and staying there. Overall, no way I'll even admit to my friends that I stayed here overnight let alone reccomend it to anyone . And to rank this lodge with the same rating as the primium hotels at Breton woods is flat out mid advertising and Expedia should be ashamed to give this rating Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"A decent stay for the money."
If you read all the reviews on Trip Advisor, you wouldn't go. I feel many of the really bad reviews of this hotel aren't warranted. Yes, the hotel is old and needs refurbishment. But the rooms are clean and the necessities work. No sign of bugs in the 2 rooms we rented. One of the rooms did have a slight musty smell, the other did not. As to the complaints […] about rude staff... I don't get it. They were all very pleasant and helpful. Some complained about the "extra" charge for the amenities fee. It is not extra, it is built into the rate. It allows you to use the facilities at the Omni Mt. Washington Hotel and they will pick you up and bring you back. "Affordable and close to the Cog Railway"
First of all, this Lodge is part of the large Bretton Woods Resort. The fancy expensive historic hotel is across the street and up a hill. The LODGE where the "regular folks" stay. It's not cheap, but definitely more affordable than the giant estate across the road. The Lodge is kind of motel-like- 2 stories with outdoor corridors in the back of the […] building facing on some pretty woods. There is an indoor pool, spa and sauna. They are clean and attractive. The room itself was kind of average: clean and decent but nothing to brag about. There was no refrigerator or microwave but there was a second sink in the room besides the bathroom sink. The Resort clearly wants to encourage people to eat at its expensive restaurants. There is a convenience store close by that has a lot of takeout items-- we bought pizza and salad there but couldn't refrigerate leftovers because there was no fridge. They Lodge offers free coffee and hot chocolate in the morning but no food. This is the big downside of the location-- lack of normal restaurants. The upside of the location is that this is the closest place to the Mt. Washington Cog Railway. And since we were technically guests of the fancy Resort across the street, we had privileges such as a free shuttle and access to various resort facilities. There are lovely walking trails through the resort's golf course and surrounding wooded areas. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Our Stay at the Lodge at Bretton Woods"
The hotel is fine if you just want a clean comfortable bed to sleep on. It is a bit tired and could use some spurcing up. It is very convient to the cog railway and Santa's Village. The hotel was neat and clean but definitely older (they actually still use room keys). The indoor pool was nice although I have seen cleaner. The staff was helpful and friendly.
