"A great value option for the Mt Washington area."
A great value option for the Mt Washington area. Price and views of the Mt Washington area. Convenience to area attractions and access to the Mt Washington resort.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great view, reasonably priced"
Very comfortable but needs more lighting in the room, only one lamp.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only time I was in the room was for sleeping, but for the two nights I stayed there I have no complaints. It seemed like a pretty standard hotel. It's pretty close to restaurants and plenty of hiking trails. My few interactions with staff were very nice. I would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Stay Away from this hotel"
I would never recommend anyone to go and stay at this place. When we booked the place we thought that it is an affiliation of the Mount Washington Bretton Woods resort and has to be good. But it took us by surprise, the place was in hopeless condition. The room was humid and was smelling bad. The carpet and sheets were all damp. The bed was like trampoline, […] if my husband turns, I would feel popped in air. There was no breakfast in the place and nothing near by. We hated the room, I wish we never went there :( Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Expensive room rate for old and tired motel."
We have stayed at the Bretton Woods Omni Mount Washington which is part of the same "resort". Based on the reputation and price we were surprised to find that the "Bretton Woods Lodge" was really a tired old roadside motel. Mold and discolored caulking around every sealed surface in the bathroom, it was really what we would expect from a one star motel, […] not one with the good Omni / Bretton Woods name! We truly love other Omni resort hotels, just not this one. Next time I will head to either the Bretton Woods Inn or the Bretton Woods Mt Washington Hotel which are both owned by Omni in the same resort area, as we have found in the past both are exceptionally well maintained facilities. Stayed overnight and planned to drive up mount Washington. Had amazing views, located by a few resturants, and a garage. They were doing some building work next to the hotel, which was quite noisey in the morning. Room was nice, and clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Cheaper than Mount Washington Hotel."
So if you need staff for "enjoyment" of stay don't count on it here. Overall, use of other hotels on resort amenities make it tolerable to stay here.Genuine Expedia guest review
The stay was great. The view is absolutely out of this world. The hotel definitely needs to be upgraded. The room was dank and musty. The girl accepting us at time of check-in was rude. Would not give us a receipt when we left because we did not make the reservation thru them directly. The staff was very warm and friendly. The hotel is directly across […] the street from the Mt. "Close to Mt. Washington activities"
We stayed in a room on the bottom level so it was quite noisy as we had some in the upper room and we could hear everything going on up there until after 11PM and they were up and about by 6AM. (water running, toliet flushing, walking, talking, doors to patio opening and closing, TV) The staff and shuttle drivers were highly professional and enjoyable. […] The room, pool area and grounds were clean and pleasing. Having to go to the Mt. Washington Resort or the nearest Irving's Gas Station for breakfast with two children under 5 years old was incovenient. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Why is this rated the same as the mt Washington?"
What's disappointment. You think you are staying on they Washington hotel property... But really you feel like an outcast on the street. To say that the lodge rooms are rundown would be an understatement. The decor 60s the bed itself I think was from the 60s as well.... The main hotel across the street is beautiful and the views of it from this dump […] of a lodge only make you feel more disappointed for cheeping out and staying there. Overall, no way I'll even admit to my friends that I stayed here overnight let alone reccomend it to anyone . And to rank this lodge with the same rating as the primium hotels at Breton woods is flat out mid advertising and Expedia should be ashamed to give this rating Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"A decent stay for the money."
If you read all the reviews on Trip Advisor, you wouldn't go. I feel many of the really bad reviews of this hotel aren't warranted. Yes, the hotel is old and needs refurbishment. But the rooms are clean and the necessities work. No sign of bugs in the 2 rooms we rented. One of the rooms did have a slight musty smell, the other did not. As to the complaints […] about rude staff... I don't get it. They were all very pleasant and helpful. Some complained about the "extra" charge for the amenities fee. It is not extra, it is built into the rate. It allows you to use the facilities at the Omni Mt. Washington Hotel and they will pick you up and bring you back. If you want an acceptable hotel at a good price, this is it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Affordable and close to the Cog Railway"
First of all, this Lodge is part of the large Bretton Woods Resort. The fancy expensive historic hotel is across the street and up a hill. The LODGE where the "regular folks" stay. It's not cheap, but definitely more affordable than the giant estate across the road. The Lodge is kind of motel-like- 2 stories with outdoor corridors in the back of the […] building facing on some pretty woods. There is an indoor pool, spa and sauna. They are clean and attractive. The room itself was kind of average: clean and decent but nothing to brag about. There was no refrigerator or microwave but there was a second sink in the room besides the bathroom sink. The Resort clearly wants to encourage people to eat at its expensive restaurants. There is a convenience store close by that has a lot of takeout items-- we bought pizza and salad there but couldn't refrigerate leftovers because there was no fridge. They Lodge offers free coffee and hot chocolate in the morning but no food. This is the big downside of the location-- lack of normal restaurants. The upside of the location is that this is the closest place to the Mt. Washington Cog Railway. And since we were technically guests of the fancy Resort across the street, we had privileges such as a free shuttle and access to various resort facilities. There are lovely walking trails through the resort's golf course and surrounding wooded areas. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Our Stay at the Lodge at Bretton Woods"
The hotel is fine if you just want a clean comfortable bed to sleep on. It is a bit tired and could use some spurcing up. It is very convient to the cog railway and Santa's Village. You are able to use all of the facilities at the Mt Washington Hotel which is nice. My only complaint is that there is vertually no where to grab a bite other than the Mt. […] Washington Hotel and one other restaurant down the street. Certainly not the Lodges' fault. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay hotel for the price."
The hotel was neat and clean but definitely older (they actually still use room keys). The indoor pool was nice although I have seen cleaner. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room itself was okay but we could hear every single sound the guests upstairs made. The hotel is wood frame so there were creaking noises with each footstep the guests upstairs […] made. The Lodge is a nice place for it gives you access to the spectacular Inn at Mt. "Clean & Comfortable"
Just stayed at The Lodge in late July 2013, we usually stay at the North Conway Grand however The Lodge was almost half the price for this weekend so we gave it a shot and for all the money we saved it was worth the value. Not the luxury hotel room however it was clean and comfortable a good value for the money.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was a bit outdated. The carpets were stained and still damp from being "cleaned". Needs some TLC and some updates throughout. The pictures do not show what you actually get. The front desk associates were nice but we won't stay again. Glad we oy booked one night!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In need of updates"
We checked into the hotel and noticed that there were many areas that needed some attention. The lobby was worn and dated, the building needed some paint and boards of rotted wood replaced. We checked into our room which was in good order however it was dark and dated, the patio furniture was covered in bird poop and the patio looked like it could also […] have used a good washing. Bathroom was clean and in good shape, at night when I went to bed I discovered that the blankets smelled of urine and the mattresses were very soft. I was vacationing with another couple who's room was much nicer but yet at the same price point as mine. That room was newly updated, much brighter and more comfortable. Better furniture and a better mattress as I was told. My room was a double queen vs. their room which was a king. Both room were $150.00 a night which was highly over priced for what we encountered. Sadly I won't be back. Pool area and spa looked nice but I didn't get a chance to take advantage of those amenities. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Condition of hotel"
I think this hotel needs refurbishing. The floors in our room were wet. I was told it was because of condensation which I believe could be remedied. The price was certainly not deserving of the condition.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The amenities advertised on the web says 6 restaurants, 3 pools etc. What it fails to mention is that your actual room is half-way across town from any of these things that all of the amenities are in other locations that are considered "in the compound". You can see the beautiful hotel in the distance while you check into your room with the 70's orange […] floral design bedding and carpeting. You can relax on the wet carpeting due to being on a slab foundation. We checked in and checked out an hour later due to the horrible conditions. "Pleasant accommodations, Great customer service"
Although we have visited NH many times, we never spent time at Mt. Washington or Bretton Woods, and decided on a last minute trip for our 20th anniversary. "Mt Washington Resort alternate site"
The quality of service was great. When we arrived at the hotel there was a power outage due to the rain storm so we were unable to adequately view our room. We returned 4 hours later to have power restored only to discover that our ground floor room had flooded from the rain. The manager promptly moved us to the upper level. My only negative comment […] is the lack of refrigeration or a coffee maker in the room. These would be a nice addition considering the area and the sparse selection of restaurants or stores. "Simple but Wonderful!"
*Bad Part First* We arrived at the Lodge late on our first night, for our 3-night stay. I thought it was weird at first that when we opened our door from the inside, we saw the woods. I never stayed at a place like this but that is the only thing that took me back a little but we quickly got used to it. *Good Parts* Absolutely friendly folks who work […] there who accommodate to your needs. The pool, sauna and jacuzzi were amazing and since summer is their off season, we enjoyed it for ourselves without anyone to share them with. It was fun. The resort is absolutely beautiful and looks like something you'd take out of a professional photography magazine. Just a wonderful place. I will go back again later this year. "Great place to recover after a day of skiing."
OK, if you are expecting 5*, you shouldn't expect to pay these prices at a very good ski resort. As most reviewers have noted, this is a motel. A fairly good motel, but a motel nonetheless. The service is solid (good at times, but it is a MOTEL). If you have high expectations of a 5* stay, you will be disappointed. If you want cheap accommodations for […] a short ski break, you will be pleased. Room was clean, comfy, and no frills. Just what you would expect from a, hmmm, motel. We would return. "the most beatiful relaxing mini vacation ever."
There is not a negative to say about our stay, except that it was too short. the views from our room were breathtaking. It was snowing most of time so the mountains behind the resort could not be seen, But the resort was awesome. They were kite skiing an dwe could the multicolored kites across the street. Not the most comfortable beds, but the nearness to the main hotel and ski lodge was fantastic. The staff /ladies at the front desk were very helpful and answered all our questions. It would be nice if the coffee and hot cocoa were available all day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Disappointing accommodation for the cost"
For the cost of staying at the lodge, the overall condition of the establishment and rooms was disappointing. It costs the price of staying at a luxury resort, however feels like one is staying at a hotel. The front desk knew we were going skiing at bretton woods, but failed to let us know that if we bought our ski tickets from them that we'd get a […] discount. It wasnt until we left and I heard another guest mention it that I found out about this deal, and at that point we had already gone skiing and it was too late. "not all that"
Looking for something close to the cog railway and was a little too pricey for what is a little on the shabby side ski lodge. To add insult to injury was a $25 facility fee that garnered us nothing because we were there less than 24 hours.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was moderately booked and we were given a first floor room. We quickly found out that the floors/ceilings are VERY thin as we listened for a few hours to loud walking above our heads. Cant call and complain about walking, so we tolerated it. I would stay again, just not on the bottom floor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"On the mountain"
The Lodge at Bretton Woods was the poor man's answer to the Resort across the street. Very adequate, but no breakfast which would have been lovely. Great view from the ftont. One was rather a captive audience to the Cog Railwaay at Mt. Washington because everything else was miles away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Hotel for the Price"
We stayed at the hotel for two nights because we had a reservation to do the zip line (canopy tour) at Bretton Woods. The hotel was moderately priced, the only downside is there was no restaurant at the hotel. And no places around that will deliver. There were plenty of restaurants close by and there is a 24hour shuttle that will bring you to the nearby […] hotel and restaurants around the area which was FANTASTIC which kind of made up for the fact there was no restaurant on site or any pizza delivery! The room had a wonderful balcony looking out over to the mountains which we enjoyed sitting out. There was also a pool which we did use, and at night we basically had it to ourselves which was great, during the day we did see kids playing in the pool. That being said the hotel was super quiet I never heard anything from the other guests. The only real complain I had was there is an ice machine at the front of the hotel, near the front desk, which if you stay at the other end of the hotel (which we did) we had to walk all the way down to the front desk in order to get ice. It would have been nice if there was one at our end of the hotel, or even in the middle near the pool. Overall we had a great time, and I would stay there again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
