The Comfort Inn was an older facility and in need of upgrading. My toilet had stress cracks in the porcelain that I had to closely check to make sure it wasn't something that hadn't been cleaned away by maid service. The mattress was older and had seen its share of wear but I slept well because I was weary. The room was nicely appointed and the W--Fi was easily accessed. The highlight of my stay was the front desk attendant - Maria. What a delightful young lady! She made an otherwise ordinary night's stay enjoyable as she directed me to restaurants in the area and made sure that everything I needed had been provided. She's a true asset to their team!

I was made to feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door.I loved the fact that there was hot coffee,hot chocolate,tea...in the lobby. Our room was smoking but it didn't smell like it at all.Room was so clean. We had a long drive and that was great. When I went down for some advice, I was meet with a smile and she answered every question I had.And when we left in the morning there was the young lady again.Nice to wake up to a sweet smile.We left there with a smile too.

This B&B is fantastic. The owners have renovated this historic house and spared no expense. The rooms are well decorated, comfortable, spacious, and... have great bathrooms. Our room had a queen bed, sitting area, big TV, and a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The basement has a great bar area where everyone hangs out. The owners are awesome and make you feel so at home. The food is amazing! Their breakfasts are two courses and so delicious. They were even able to accommodate my gluten free diet. They also serve delicious hors d'oeuvres and wine around 5 every day in the bar. Orange is a nice town and there are lots of great restaurants nearby. The Appalachian Trail crosses Skyline Drive at Swift Run Gap, set just beyond the Swift Run Gap Entrance to Shenandoah National Park. To the south is Hightop Mountain Parking for Hightop, which rises to 3,587 feet (1,093 meters) in elevation. North of the entrance are the South River Overlook and Picnic Area. South River Falls, at the head of a rocky gorge, is the park's third-highest waterfall.

My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary at the Chestnut Hill Bed & Breakfast. Our stay was absolutely amazing. The accommodations were wonderful. Bottom line, it felt like we were at home and that's the point of a bed and breakfast. We were very satisfied and would recommend staying here 1000 times over. Thank you Kathleen and Troy!!!!!

One of the best B&B experiences we have ever had. First class all the way around. If you had a need to stay in the area I would recommend it without heasitation. The B&B is new (around a year old) so if I had a reservation it would only be to wonder how long they can maintain the level of service and enthusiasim.
