The hotel has a great atmosphere. The plants are wonderful all over the property. The staff is very friendly. We stayed in the sunset room. The rooms are very small but sufficient. However the airconditioner was in the bathroom so you freeze getting out of the shower and your hot in the bed. We travelled in December so even though they were have unusually […] warmer weather than normal for this time of the year, I would never stay in that room any other time of the year. The toiletries supplied looked like they were half full and water had been added to the bottle to appear full. The continental breakfast was nice, however the sweetener was extremely old and when I mentioned that it had turned they added more from the same box. The pool is very small but refreshing! The Blue Parrott Inn is a quaint B&B that really gives you the Key West experience. We have stayed at other hotel chains before and liked this better. The laid back atmosphere was wonderful and the staff was very attentive. We will definately visit again soon!

It was a nice place to stay that was conveniently located to the main strip. I would have liked to have known that the bathroom was detached and that there was no hotel parking. However, I would stay there again if the bathroom was in the room.

The best thing about the Blue Parrot is the location. It is within walking distance of many of the main attractions of Key West. We were lucky to find onstreet parking and left the car for the time we were there. The hotel has no parking. The room was tiny and not very comfortable. The staff was helpful. Breakfast was OK.

Stayed in the room 8A next to the office. Except for parking, everything was breezy, easy and cool. Loved it. Key West charm at its best ...but it is low-key. We had a local cat sleep in our room with us, so as you can see, its all about the experience for us - not the concierge :)

Our stay was short but nice. The location of the inn was near the end of douval. Everything was pretty accessible depending on finding a spot to park. The staff was great! The breakfast was very light but acceptable for bikini season!

I was not told I had no bathroom or sink in my room until I had paid for the hotel and time was to short to find another one. We had to walk down the hall to use the bathroom. They said free parking. The free parking was on the street where ever you could find one. We drove around the hotel 4 times trying to find a parking place. One way streets so […] we had to drive blocks to circle. Parking is an issue. They do not have their own parking lot and you have to find one on your own and that is very difficult. Only early morning are there parking spots available but you better get it fast. We almost booked at another place until the manager had the cleaning lady move her car so we could park on the street.

Barbie at the front desk was uncommonly welcoming, helpful and informed, and the Blue Parrot was, from my point of view, a very well located budget choice in Key West. The only downside was a too-soft mattress -- adequate, but not what you want. Yet I slept well: fans and A/C both worked well, and there was one real (non-fluorescent) reading light, […] which I appreciated. Breakfast was simple but better than adequate with good strong coffee. Location is near enough to harbor and all sights to walk to them, but far enough away from Duvall St. and tourist overkill so that they are easily avoided. This is the kind of place to stay in but not spend a lot of time in -- not much in the way of view, hard to find a sunny spot to tan, the pool is heated but in the shade, there were a few wicker-like outdoor chairs in which to read. The hotel is small, with about 10 rooms. It is an old house on a quiet street in a residential neighborhood, two blocks or so from Duval Street. Rooms are spacious and have high ceilings. The house may be old, but it is well maintained; the plumbing is new. The window air conditioning unit is relatively quiet, although I had to turn it off for the night. […] There is a small pool in the backyard, and a free breakfast is served next to it. I found this to be a nice and relaxing experience. Although, if it was raining, I may not have been so happy with it. The hotel is in the middle of the island, so if you expect to have an ocean view, this is not the right place for you. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the sunset celebrations spot. Parking around the hotel may be a problem since most of the spots are available to residents only, although I managed to grab a spot right by the entrance. Some hotels offer parking on the property, Blue Parrot does not have space for it, so street parking is the only option. Overall, I had a great time and would certainly consider staying there again when I visit Key West next time. Read more

We had a great time at the Blue Parrot. It's not a 5 star hotel but definitely met our needs. We stayed a total of 5 nights in 2 rooms. Each room had it's own bath (be careful when booking as some rooms have private baths that are not in the room but down the hall).
