Manila Marriott Hotel - Pasay

It's everything you've come to expect from a Marriott. Clean room. Great service. Consistency. Yes, it's a little pricey, especially if you order room service, or eat in the restaurant, but again, you know what you're getting. Very nice place with impeccable service.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Marriott in Manila. The rooms are huge and I love the bathrooms the most. Why? because they are large and clean and it's a walk in shower with a tub in the middle and it overlooks the room. I got a haircut, manicure, pedicure at a salon in Resorts world and it was so cheap!! There is also a movie theater and performing arts center. One of Manila's best clubs (for the youngin's) is in there (so weird but cool). Just everything about this hotel is perfect. The gym is one of the biggest hotel gyms I've been to. The pool is great with a view of the Manila skyline. I also love its proximity to the airport. Take the Shuttle from the airport to the hotel and back - it's free! You can't beat that. I was only in Manila for two days before going to El Nido resorts in Palawan. I stayed at the Marriott because it was so close to the airport and didn't want to deal with the traffic when we had to leave for El Nido. I was impressed with the hotel. The room was so new and beautiful. I paid a moderate amount and was expecting just a standard hotel room. […] When we arrived it looked like a suite. The bathroom was my favorite because it had a walk in shower and tub! I was really impressed. The food at the cafe was good. Service was exceptional. Gym was larger than any hotel gym I've ever been to and I've traveled a lot. Nice pool. Staff was friendly. I also liked that it was connected to Resorts World so you never had to even leave the lovely air conditioning. Lots of shopping, restaurants and even a casino. There was a beauty salon called Bruno's that gave wonderful salon services. So i got a haircut, mani/pedi all for only $38 USD!!!!! You can't beat that. Overall, I was very happy that I chose this hotel. There was also complimentary shuttle service to and from hotel so take advantage of that. It ran every hour and on time too. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Read more

Variety of breakfast buffet was excellent and its taste was very good. Frequency of shuttle services to each terminals are every hour but on the day we checked out, the 8am bus going to terminal 3 departed the hotel about 10 minutes after 8am and stopped over in front of other hotel before terminal 3, so we had a litle bit hurry.

The staff and the service is more then wonderful. They are always aiming to please and to assist in any way. I had my birthday during my stay and they gave me a cake, free of charge, for my wife and I to enjoy. There is a mall attached to the Marriott and there are a couple within a short drive. The only things that I had a problem with was the bed. […] It was harder then what I'm use to sleeping and the cym wasn't very big. But other then that it was a wonderful time and I would go back in a heart beat. The security was really good. When ever I got a taxi, they doorman would take the taxi's info and would make sure they use the meter. The hotel room was very nice, but definitely needed USB outlets in the wall sockets for charging portable electronics. Also, the lack of any 110V outlets was kind of disappointing in that most modern hotels have these convenience features too. I really expected an American hotel chain, such as the Marriott, to provide these simple features. The pool […] was clean and inviting, the gym was well staffed and appointed, sauna was clean and jacuzzi was fabulous. The breakfast buffet was lacking. I had an omelet there (from their omelet bar) that might have served well in Bangladesh, but was completely unacceptable for a modern 'newish' hotel. The smoked salmon had bones in it and the buffet was disjointed. I felt very crowded on a Monday morning in some places and the staff remarked to me that weekend crowding was much worse. The staff in the hotel was very helpful and supportive. I listed my recommendations and the manager came out to discuss the slight problems with me. I can only say that I would only return to this hotel if they were having a 50% sale going on. The value was not there for the money invested. I was informed by Expedia that there is a free shuttle to and from the airport, but this was not true. I was requested to get my own taxi from the airport to the hotel. When departing the hotel and asking to use the free shuttle to the airport, I was informed that the bus only ran 1 time per hour and that I was much too early. This was not posted in the room. Unless you need to be in Makati, a reasonable solution for a brief stay in Manila for work or play. The rooms are average, but has everything you need. Think of a good airport hotel in the States, but with a better level of service from a smiling staff. The on premise spa is good value for money. The restaurants are generally disappointing, but the […] mall complex has a decent mix of fast food/low cost eateries. The free shuttle from the airport is a plus, but does not run frequently enough. Taxis are hard to get, usually a ten minute wait. There is a modest golf course adjacent to the hotel if you have the time and inclination to test the heat and humidity. No creepy cab drivers waiting outside your hotel, wonderful AC, no busy streets full of traffic to keep you up, quick elevators, luxurious décor, a golf course on site, 5 minutes from […] domestic airport and 15 minutes from international. It is connected to resorts world which is a casino with good restaurants and two nightclubs. Opus is pretty posh so make sure you book a table to get in. Republic was very nice too and much easier to get in. Both packed. I enjoyed the in room dining. Well presented, quick and delicious. I wasn't impressed with the Executive continental breakfast but they did make me a tasty omelet. The gym is nice. The ladies at the salon do wonderful work and the cost is very inexpensive. The spa treatment was relaxing and worth the money spent. Everyone at the hotel is so helpful, respectful and carries themselves well. I truly felt comfortable and relaxed and well taken care of. I did not feel bugged or harrassed with kindness by the staff. Sometimes a simple nod and smile were given. There is a gate for vehicles coming in which increases the time needed to grab a cab. Metal detectors that you have to walk through coming in, but everyone is so nice about it, it hardly feels noteworthy. I’m pretty sure it’s due to the casino. The hotel has a good security system in place; the first that I have seen with an xray machine before the main door. It has access to the mall and casino. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. Very cute lobby - like a boutique hotel. The buffet is a little overpriced, pool is small, and many construction around the hotel are going on.

Manila hotels are just lacking as a group when compared to most hotels in the US. Marriott comes closer than most at an affordable price. We stayed at Marriott 4-16-11 for one night only. They were able to check us in at approximately 10:30 am even though their usual check-in is at 12:00. The staffs are very nice and courteous. It is located a mile from the international airport and even less from the domestic airport. Even with the proximity to the airport, I can't hear any plane landing […] or taking off. Nice Hotel, located close to Terminal 3 (Cebu Pacific) at the airport. The hotel is modern and clean. The room was nice. In short, the facilities were up to my expectations. The service was another story. Getting in and out of the hotel is a hassle. Security is tighter than at the airport.
