Everything went perfect throughout our stay. Staff goes above and beyond. The restaurant has food to die for and sweeping views of the entire city. The room was as well-appointed as you could ask for, and spacious and comfy. The upstairs pool deck is amazing. And for downtown, the location can't be beat. I can't get back to this hotel fast enough!

LOVED this hotel. Stayed here with our 10 year old son in a club level room and loved every single second of it. Room was FAB with spectacular views, comfy beds, uber hip furnishings, and lovely little accoutrements like Bulgari toiletries and even a tv in the bathroom mirror. The bathroom, while on the smallish side, was wonderful with a walk in rain […] shower and giant tub. Oooh, and I can't say enough about the club level service and food. CAN YOU SAY YUMALICIOUS?!! And they constantly brought food out ... breakfast, lunch, apps at dinner, and then desert and cordials in the evening. I could have stayed in that club room all day. Did I mention that there is a giant table covered with french macaroons, chocolate chip cookies, and other little baked treats?!! And just to the right of that is a wall covered with all sorts of retro-ish candies like Mary Janes, Bit-o-Honeys, and Nik-L-Nips. And I can't ignore the view ... we're sitting in this fab lounge with gorgeous views of the Hollywood sign and the mountains. Even the gym at this place is lovely. I worked out (extra hard to work off those macaroons) while gazing out over the Hollywood hills. MAGNIFICENT. We even used the rooftop pool and my son loved the super cool floats and awesome hot tub. Gorgeous spot that has a super cool/hip vibe. I don't have any reason to go back to L.A. other than to stay at this hotel and I can't wait to return. Whole heartedly recommend this place to everyone. Very close to Staples Center. The staff were all very friendly and we were given iced water whenever we were leaving for the day. A very nice surprise and very much appreciated. Our grandchildren were extremely impressed by the TV in the bathroom mirror.

Overall, I loved the location, service and amenities of this property. I highly recommend upgrading to the Club Lounge as that will provide you with four full meal preparations each day at no additional cost. The food and service provided at the Club Lounge was fantastic!

We had an excellent stay. The staff made our stay very pleasurable. The room was serviced twice daily, the beds and linens are were clean and comfortable. Alex at the front desk was very helpful.**They provide a driver within a 3 mile radius, this was lovely.We will no longer look to stay anywhere else!

I stayed here with a friend for a day of shopping and eating. Hotels is new(2010) and love the service and amenities. The bed was heavenly! We had a drink at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant on the 26th floor. The view of LA skyline was great. It wasn't cheap but I'd say it was worth it.

This hotel was gorgeous. The bed was dreamy. The design and decor perfect. Staff was excellent. I received nothing but friendliness and smiles. WP24 was one of the best places I’ve been in years. However, I am excessively picky and had a few areas of improvement for the hotel. For 99% of people this wouldn't bother them but it did me. I was traveling […] for work so had the laptop, iphone, blackberry and a series of other electronic devices that needed charging. My room had NO extra outlets at all. I kept looking for the charging station or anywhere but truly could find no other outlets in the room accept the bathroom (which is where I charged my gadgets in the end). Secondly, the shower handle was broken. I had to keep the water at slightly cool or else gravity sent it spinning down towards burn your skin off hot. I'm sure it was just some sort of gasket inside the handle needed to be tightened but it sucked for me. Finally, for it being the LA Ritz Carlton, I would have expected the soaps, shampoos and such to be higher quality or designer. They were perfectly fine, just not the level of even some 4 star boutique places I’ve stayed. I’ll admit I didn’t get to the spa or gym or the other amenities so I may not be being entirely fair. I loved the slippers and chocolates at turn down. And again the bed was perfect- one of the best. My stay was great, the location is wonderful but for the price I might try somewhere else next time that has a more indulgent and luxurious feel. Read more

The Ritz-Carlton is a stunning hotel with everything one can expect from a 5 star establishment. The only - points were the internet was extremely slow and the hot water took 15 minutes before it was warm enough to bathe. Staff were very professional and helpful. Would stay here again.

This was probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The location is excellent if you're going to the LA Convention Center, Staples Center, or other location around LA live. Everything you need is within a few steps. It's about a block away from the Grammy Museum as well. The service was spectacular, very accommodating. The staff remembers […] and calls you by name during your entire visit. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. I highly recommend getting the club level service if you want a nice place to relax in the hotel and have a drink or nibble throughout the day. They have a basic continental breakfast with pastries, cereals, toast, bagels, coffees and teas, a selection of beers and drinks you can enjoy throughout the day, yummy desserts at night...and the most gorgeous views of the city. Beautiful views of the sunset. The rooms were large, very clean, and comfortable. The bathroom had a six foot soaking tub which I used after a long day of book signing. I love this hotel! Absolutely amazing. I loved everything about my stay. The only thing is hotel parking was $40 a day which is ridiculous. I had to park the rental car in a lot several blocks away for $10 a night. Wifi in the hotel was expensive as well.

The Los Angeles Ritz Carlton is a modern and contemporary take on Ritz Carlton. The rooms are so modern that the decor feels a bit cold. The size of the rooms is also a bit on the small size for a new hotel. We stayed on the Club Level, and the views looking out all the way to the ocean are amazing. Ask for a hotel room that faces West instead of East […] if you go...the view West is beautiful. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We ate at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant WP24, and the starters were mundane chinese food, but the mains were delicious, and the views looking North towards the downtown skyscape are dramatic. I went to the spa in the morning, and had it all to myself. Not a huge spa, but the steamroom was large and nice with 2 tiled chaise lounges in the center to relax on. Read more

Check in was quick and efficient. When they heard it had taken me 16 hours & terrible flights to get from Pennsylvania to Los Angeles due to weather problems, I was upgraded to club level. Club level includes access to the club lounge where you get free breakfast, lunch, snacks, and impeccable service with whatever else you may need. I was impressed […] with the professionalism and genuine niceness of all the staff. Most of them always called me by my name which usually surprised me. My room was lovely and very clean and large. Lots of mirrors and surfaces to put things on. The huge tub was heaven. Location was perfect for me because I was attending a concert at the LA Live complex. The Ritz Carlton is upscale and quiet, but its connected to the Marroitt beside it which has a big active lobby, so you really get the best of both. I am a woman and I was traveling alone and I felt quite safe and comfortable. They took very good care of me and on my last night the turndown service included a lovely plate of assorted chocolates and a personalized note. I would aboslutely go back again! Read more

Only part I would complain about was that we wanted to dine at the only restaurant at the Ritz on the 24th floor, but it was closed on the night we spent there for a private party of 500. The new Ritz-Carlton is a beautiful hotel, albeit somewhat hidden (and over-shadowed) by its larger sister, the J.W. Marriott, located in the same building, with both occupying the lower floors of a glittering glass high-rise on Olympic Boulevard. They are part of 'LA Live,' a sprawling hotel, restaurant, and entertainment 'complex' just north of the […] Los Angeles Convention Center, and a welcome addition to what was, until recently, a rather seedy area in the southwest corner of downtown. Once you find the actual entrance (on Georgia Street, despite what the travel sites say to the contrary), expect to be welcomed, perhaps a little too strongly, by a new and attentive staff. And while it may take two elevator rides to reach the rooms, the accommodations are stunning, with beautiful layouts, rich furnishings, and exceptional views in most directions. Corner rooms in particular are spacious and airy - bathrooms large and modern, with TVs in the mirrors(!), and large walk-in showers with separate baths. There are scores of restaurants nearby, including a new Trader Vic's, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, and Wofgang Puck's Grille. Be aware that most close rather early, even by LA standards, and for 24-hour dining we ended up (twice!) at The Pacific Dining Car, about a mile away (on 6th Street), and a real find. Overall, this Ritz-Carlton seems a notch or two below most of its namesake properties, but once the newness wears away, it may shine. And meanwhile, it seems a bargain for LA! Read more
