when arrive they gave us a different room then the one booked, mini bar was empty and said was full so we would end up paying for what was missing. anytime we called for service it never came.

We got a good deal on this 4-star hotel. My teenage daughter and I were staying with relatives but wanted to "splurge" one night. The room was immaculate, with complimentary coffee service and bathrobe. There was a stocked mini-fridge but no microwave. Beds were super-comfortable and there was even a "pillow menu." We were in a back room overlooking […] a construction site, but we didn't mind. The TV channels were limited and pretty boring. Internet was available for a price, but we didn't use it. The rooftop pool was nearly as warm as a hot tub - heavenly! There was an exercise room and spa available. The hotel is in town, but a couple blocks away from other businesses; not very convenient if you want to walk to find a restaurant. There were several upscale eateries in the hotel, a little pricey for us. The tiny gift shop in the lobby did not stock food, other than chips and candy. We decided to order room service that night, and got a small, mediocre fruit plate for about $12 USD. The next morning we ordered a pastry basket for about $15, which was delicious, and contained so many pastries that we took some with us when we left. Overall, we were happy with our stay here. I don't know that I would recommend it for families with younger children, as the atmosphere is pretty quiet and refined. It is best for business travelers, or tourists who want a quiet retreat. If you want someplace more exciting, you might try the more-expensive Shangri-la/Traders hotel complex. Read more

Holiday Inn is a fairly new hotel near ADNEC. Pros: - Good Average Hotel - Nothing special - Food prices is very reasonable, lower than most hotels - Free (but limited speed) internet - Self parking in the basement instead of valet - Good comfortable bed - Clean rooms - AC is very good, making the room temperature comfortable (not too cold or warm) Cons: - […] Noisy. There is less than good insulation between the rooms or outside world, so it can sometimes be noisy, although I did'n't mind too much - Hotel charges you additional fee for a second person (even if you have a king size bed) Overall this hotel is good, if you eat in the hotel alot, then this will be an excellent value for you as they have deals on food. The location was relatively easy to find via Garmin Nuvi gps. Location is close to Sheikh Zayed Mosque and to local golf courses and Wahda city mall, every place within about 15 mins drive. Huge grocery store (Lulu hypermart) within 2 min drive, even walkable. In front of my room a generator was running 24/7 and it was incredibly noisy. The hotel was aware of this as they put earplugs on the night table. They were good but could not drown out the noise completely. The hotel offered no compensation, nor would organize a move to another room. Was perfect for 2 night visit for business. Bought internet for 60 dirhams, and it could be used for 24 hours over the full period of my stay, which was very convenient (multiple sessions allowed). Also, it was available in the restaurants and lobby which was great for a change of scenery when doing work.
