For the price paid this hotel is totally worth the money. Free breakfast and no resort fees! Location right on fremont. Hotel staff were very nice compared to some higher priced hotels. Front desk was friendly at check in. Valet guys were nice. Breakfast was awesome. Room was a little dated and tired but for the rate paid it was clean, quiet and safe.

"TI Las Vegas"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Hotel accomodation were OK, been Treasure Island, was expecting better accommodations, but hotel is showing his age and use. Got surprise when we check in with a mandatory fee for resort, that seen like I miss reading about when I pay, was $29 per day, but since I book so early was charge $22 a day,I try to explain we was not interested on using pool or gym since we were there for convention, but was explain that fee was not a choice and we have to pay, so we have to pay 5 days more over the price of the room. Also I ask for handicap room and they told me our room was handicap accesable, but we have a tub and no shower.

Glittering, larger-than-life gambling palaces dominate Las Vegas Boulevard South, better known as The Strip. Here, hotels are destinations unto themselves. Within a three-mile stretch, visitors can see the New York City skyline, the Eiffel Tower, an Egyptian pyramid, imperial Rome, a dancing fountain, and an exploding volcano. A monorail links several hotels and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Never seen such customer service. Not the cheapest place in Las Vegas, but worth every penny. Absolutely beautiful, serene hotel in the middle of the crazy Las Vegas strip.

Very relaxing atmosphere. Food is overpriced.

"Great Oasis in Vegas!"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Mandarin Oriental. Having a quiet relaxing place to return to after visiting the hustle and bustle of the casinos was great. And the service was outstanding.
"Best hotel in Vegas"
Amazing place with even more amazing service. They make you feel welcomed at comfortable without any snotty attitude.
"Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas"
Perfect hotel, what more could you ask for? Prices are high, but you get what you pay for.

I didn't give a 5 stars on hotel service is because I didn't recieve my newspaper.
"Don't need to stay here again"
I got to the hotel at about 8:00pm and the driveway was pretty dead, which was perfect since I had a car full of stuff to unload. I asked the guy at the door if I could leave my car out front for 15 minutes while I checked in and he told me no, I'd have to valet it or do self-parking at the Aria. I thought this was pretty ridiculous since even the Holiday […] Inn generally has a place you can leave your car for 30 minutes while you check in, but that's not the case here. (But apparently it's fine if you leave your yellow Lamborghini parked in the drive for days at a time -- my Lexus wasn't good enough I guess). The walk from the Aria garage isn't terrible, but when you're carrying luggage it's a real pain to do the walk, go down the stairs/escalator to get to the ground floor, then take the first elevator to the sky lobby just to transfer to another elevator to get to your floor before you can even get to your room. They'll take your luggage for you of course, but make sure you have money in your pocket for a tip because it's expected. Fast forward to the spa (this is specific to the men's side). It's expensive and small. It's on the 8th floor and there are windows, which seems nice until you see the view -- Las Vegas boulevard with a strip mall across the street. Honestly, not the greatest view. There's only one hot tub and it's got lounges in it, so there's no room to move around in it at all. They take your shoes at checkin. I didn't realize what a problem this was until I was getting dressed in the locker area and my sandals were wet, so it didn't make a lot of sense to put my socks back on. Not only that, but you don't get your shoes back until you check out & pay, when they are hovering over you and you feel somewhat pressured to write in a good tip on the checkout form. I really prefer the Encore spa -- large, nice and not overbearing. On the plus side, the hotel was clean & very quiet. There's no casino here (short walk to Aria to gamble), so the action is el Read more

"Overpriced and undergood"
I've heard great things about the Mandarin Oriental, so perhaps this is just a bad location. I found the hotel very dark and gloomy. The restaurant MOzen had a limited and uninspiring menu. (I had a 60 dollar California roll that was all but tasteless. ) Everything else about it, from room to fitness center, is exactly like any other four star hotel […] you've ever stayed in: Airless and unappealing. Unless you absolutely want to spend four times the average price for everything you buy, I'd skip this address. Read more

"Best Hotel In Vegas by Far!"
One of the best experiences I've had to date in Vegas. Elegant and private while in the middle of everything. First class hotel at your beck and call. Service so serene and pampering that you leave amazingly relaxed for Vegas.

Mid-strip luxury. A wonderful escape from the daily grind.
Only complaint was that we couldn't get the room to cool enough at night. Otherwise, a terrific experience.
"Mandarin Las Vegas-exquisite elegance"
I have stayed at the Mandarin in SF and been at the Mandarin in NYC several times. I am also a very frequent visitor of Las Vegas since 1989 and have stayed at almost every hotel on the Strip. This was my first time at the Mandarin and I was very impressed! It was outstanding! It had impeccable service and decor and an amazingly calming atmosphere. […] From the scented rooms and hallways, to the 23rd floor lobby and bar, to the gentle music, to the incredible room technology and ambience, it is truly an exceptional hotel! it does not have its own casino, which is a plus, since you don't have the traffic, car or pedestrian, or noise. and you are steps away from the Cosmopolitan's crazy casino and club, Aria's beautiful casino and great restaurants, and Crystal's high-end shopping. I will definitely stay there again. One thing that was surprising was that the rates weren't that high, given how nice the hotel was. Read more

"Zen oasis away from the melee"
Elegant, comfortable, relaxed hotel with an almost spa-like serenity. A smoke free, casino free oasis of calm with exceptional and sincere (and relaxed) service. Understated, quiet, comfortable, lovely views, inspired service. The food I did have was excellent. The bars/tea lounge in the 23rd floor sky lobby are a lovely place to see the city.
"Mini Bar"
I was disappointed to find outdated items in the mini bar, specifically mixed nuts and gummy bears. Please check expiation dates on mini bar items as a regular routine. Mixed nuts were terribly stale. I gave the items to the desk upon check out.
"Great choice for some upscale fun"
If you have come to Vegas for some upscale fun...Spa, top restaurants, great shows...this is your hotel. Great service, comfortable room, some quiet and close to most top casinos. Far removed from the throngs of raunchy crowds trying to create their own personal sequel to "The Hangover". Do take note that it is a five minute walk outside to the closest […] casino, Monte Carlo or Aria. Read more
"MO Las Vegas review"
WOW! What a terrific place! The staff treats customers like guests. Appreciated the professionalism of everyone there, as well as the luxurious property--loved it! The coffee cafe is the only place that could use improvement--couldn't pay with cash here (didn't have change) and nowhere to sit (cafe was reserved for big party). We were welcome on floor […] 23, but would've rather sat in the cafe for just the 10 minutes needed to enjoy the croissant and coffee. Thanks for asking! Read more
"Mandarin is the way to do Vegas"
This review is for the Mandarin Premier Room. My wife and I loved our room. The room was sleek and the bathroom, in particular, was enormous. Everything is controlled by a touch device and the TV. Great Strip views. The service is also exceptional. It is a very relaxing place and is by far the most relaxing of the high-end hotels on the strip (the lack […] of a casino certainly helps). FYI, overnight valet is $20, but you can park at Aria for free. Read more

"Best Hotel In Vegas"
This hotel is well-worth the great ranking. It's in the heart of the strip in the new City Center area (Mandarin Oriental, Aria, & The Cosmopolitan). The great thing about the M.O., though, is that there is no casino so you can do all of your gambling and shopping at other places and then come back to the M.O. and get away and relax. From the moment […] you pull up, the extremely friendly and helpful bellhops take care of your bags for you. You check-in on the 23rd floor with an amazing view of the strip. The desk workers and the concierge were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, stylish, and modern. The fitness/spa center was excellent. All of the extra attention the put into the "little details" is what makes the experience over-the-top. Even after we left, they were amazing. Nine hours after we checked out, my wife realized she had left her necklace in the bathroom of our room. I called the hotel and they sent a member of security to the room. They immediately called me back to tell me that a member of housekeeping had found the necklace and turned it into security. They mailed the necklace back to us. Read more
"perfection"
The most comfortable, relaxing hotel I have ever stayed in. Beautiful view of the Las Vegas strip. Warm and friendly staff. My wife and I didn't hear ANY noise. no doors shutting, no noise in the halls even though we know it was fairly well booked. very peaceful. no casino... NO problem.
"One of the best hotels I've ever stay in"
I travel extensively for work and on vacation. The Mandarin Oriental in Las Vegas was incredible and excellent value I felt also. The service is top notch. They anticipate every need. When I rang for help with my luggage on check out, the took my valet number and a bellman was with me within 5 minutes. They called the front desk and my paperwork was […] ready when I arrived. When I got down to the lower lobby, my car was there, luggage loaded, they offered directions to my destination and had taken rubbish away from the inside and replaced it with a bottle of water for the journey. My only criticism would be that they were a bit too formal and nervy, using my name and sir too much for my liking, but that's a very small quibble. The room was immaculate, the perfect blend of eastern zen and calm with advanced technology. There's a panel remote by the bed that controls the lights, tv, sound system, heating and curtains. The deep, free-standing bath and beautiful natural stone combine to create a real spa feel in the room. I had a long soak on each of my two days. It doesn't have a casino of its own, but that's a bonus in my eyes as you don't have to deal with the noise and drunkenness. If you want to gamble, however, all of the famous casinos are either a short walk or short taxi ride away. The food is first rate as well. I had an amazing meal in the brasserie as well as room service. Best of all was the high tea. You simply must go here if you're visiting Las Vegas. you won't be disappointed. Read more
"The best"
This is my second time back to stay with Mandarin Oriental. Best service, no hotel can beat.
"Great hotel, some issues"
This is a terrific M.O. property, and I only gave it a few markdowns as I experienced some housekeeping issues during my stay. The staff and managers did respond quickly so I believe it to be an anomaly and not typical of their performance. All in all a wonderful hotel and experience.
"Sophisticated hotel lacks warmth"
The hotel is sophisticated by completely lacking in warmth. The floors are black marble, most of the walls are black, and the interior of the elevators are black with very low lighting making it difficult to see which button to push to select a floor. The interiors of the generously sized rooms are very dark, the interior of the closet is black, the […] interior of the dresser drawers are black - even the ironing board is black. The lighting and temperature settings are frustrating to navigate; there are multiple lights and switches. Although the bathroom is large with a separate tub and shower, the etched glass door for the room with “WC/commode/toilet” does not provide privacy. The rooms are ideal for one occupant. Read more
"Mandarin LV"
Great hotel, very clean, modern and upscale with phenomenal service. The only slight downside is the beds and pillows in my room were very soft, and I tend to prefer a more firm mattress and pillows.
"Splendid Hotel"
The staff are amazing ,each of them regardless of service were outstanding prefer over Four Seasons. Would highly recommend the Mandarin experience!

"Incredible Hotel"
I can honestly say that this was the nicest hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment you arrive you're treated like royalty. The layout of the hotel take a little getting used to, but the rooms are very, very nice. Spectacular strip views, incredible service. There isn't a casino in this hotel, which I really like. It presents as extremely clean, […] elegant, and sophisticated. I also love the Sky Bar on the 23rd floor. Amazing views of the strips both directions. Drinks are expensive, but worth it for the views. I would stay here again in a second. It is expensive, but it really does make for an amazing Vegas experience. Read more
