      Service at the front desk went above and beyond our expectations. They helped us get numbers for rental car places and provided us with everything we needed. Room looked new and modern, but did not have a microwave or fridge, but did have a coffee maker. Our TV's remote control was broken (the battery cover would not stay on), there was a used band-aid on the floor between the two beds, and a hair in one of the new bath towels. Also, I tried to make local calls from the room phone, but even though I followed the instructions on the phone, it kept giving me a busy signal. View from the room was scary (steep hill with roots). Overall, we were pleased by the service provided by the front desk, but all of the other things were a disappointment. Next time, we probably will go with a hotel that had a microwave/fridge and offered drinks and snacks in the lobby, even if it costs a little more. Cleanliness of a room is very important, and we were definitely grossed out by the used band-aid.

      I needed an inexpensive room for a short say in Pittsburg. The room was small with one double bed, which was perfect for me. Bed was comfy, slept well. Only issues were one of the outlets didn't work so I had to plug a camera battery in the bathroom (no biggie) and the hair dryer did not work. When I told the front desk, they apologized and handed me a working one. The front desk peeps were very friendly and helpful with directions. I would recommend this place, at least for a solo traveler. It is convenient to downtown, Carnegie Mellon, University of Pittsburg, the cultural area and I'm sure to many places I don't even know about. Oh, FREE continental breakfast, too...with LOTS to choose from.

    The South Hills Motel is located in beautiful Pleasant Hills, PA and convenient to major highways and located minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, PA. The motel is located just 30 minutes from the Pittsburgh International Airport. We are an ideal stop if visiting the Jefferson Regional Medical Center or the Community College of Allegheny-South. Pleasant Hills, PA is also only minutes from the Century III Mall - the second largest enclosed shopping mall in the Pittsburgh region. South Hills Motel is 8 miles from the famous Kennywood Amusement Park. Guest must call ahead of time and let the property know a time of arrival.

    Just awful. I will never stay there again. Called ahead to say I would not be ther before midnight. And I still got charged. My reciept was a credit card slip. The manager was very, very rude.

    This is a no-frills motel...I stay there when I visit because of its location to the folks I am visiting. I grew up about three miles away from this location....it was there back in the 60's so it has age. It is comfortable for a single or couple but I would not recommend it for a family.

    My experience with this hotel is quite negative. The man in the fontal desk doesn't speak English fluently that makes a problem with communication, the rooms are dirty and they promise you wireless internet when they just have wire internet. the illumination inside the rooms doesn't work

    When I arrived, the front desk had me wait nearly 10 minutes while he was on a phone call with some vendor, but it didn't seem to be an emergency worth making me wait since my checkin otherwise took under 1 minute. The room was not "recently renovated" as the sign out front indicated; furnishings were meager and low end and worn. Interior lighting and […] electronics were very poor.     As an older motel which has been newly renovated, the perks were astounding --- and such a great price! Microwave, refrig, a.c., and even internet capability were great perks. And we were only miles outside of the city we were visiting --Pittsburgh. Yes, I would go to this motel again!!!
