After having paid for an ocean view one bedroom apartment in the Ridge on your website, this was NOT honoured, we were shown to 4 tiny studio dark and dingy single rooms in the wrong part of the hotel. After 2 hours we were shown to the correct size room, in the Ridge but no ocean view, noisy and NO SUN at all…very miserable. also subjected to TIME […] SHARE HASSLING. poor and exspensive internet, that one decent manager, Ana, threw in to compensate. We had a great visit. This hotel is perfectly located near the marina and on the pacific ocean. Although you are not able to swim in the ocean, proximity to the marina is very convenient and the beaches are beautiful. The pools at this resort at massive, the service is great, and the room provide ample room for families.

We had the best time. The staff was wonderful. Our room was just beautiful. I asked, at check-in, if we could be sure and get a room with a view of the ocean, and Hugo gave us the most beautiful location. Another plus, they do not water down their drinks. I understand that is a problem at many establishments. We just can't say enough about the hotel...perfect […] in every way. You are just a couple of blocks from downtown and the marina. We went in December and there were whale sighting, from our balcony, almost everyday. So fun! On another note, the timeshare talk was not that bad, it's hard to avoid one, and it was surely worth the time for all the excursions we got for almost nothing, plus a bottle of tequila. We highly recommend the zip-line excursion with Cabo Escape. It was really wonderful and the staff was so funny and yet totally professional. The sunset cruise was a must and really gets you into the festive-vacation mood. For a taste of real Mexico, the glass bottom boat was an experience, for sure, and totally fun. This review is more for Playa Grande than The Ridge. We booked The Ridge because the rooms are nicer than Playa Grande, and we knew the kids would want to be at the waterside. We were given a gorgeous ground-floor room overlooking the marina. Actually, our room overlooked a parking lot, bus stop, and guard gate, then the marina. Not exactly the relaxing […] vibe we were hoping for. So we asked for something on a higher floor with a better view, and they moved us over to Playa Grande, facing the Pacific. The view was about a million times better; the room, not so much. Playa Grande was built 15 years ago, and while clean and very well-maintained, it doesn't have the modern feel of newer resorts. We were willing to sacrifice a little on the room to enjoy the peaceful feel of this side of the property. I give this hotel an overall "4" because we had a great trip. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We felt we received a very good value for what we paid. Most importantly, our kids loved it. My husband and I realized they don't need a 5-star resort to have fun- give them pools and a waterslide and the whole family is happy! Read more

We stayed at the Ridge section. The stay was remarkable. The staff was always courteous, the grounds were constantly cleaned. Rooms were immaculate, always nioce to come back to a clean room after a day in the sun. The hotel has choices of restaurants, and we opted for the all inclusice when we got there. It was well worth it, as we could order food […] and drinks through out the day. Everything was within walking distance. To the Marina within 5 minutes, Cabo Wabo about 10-15 minutes. The staff at all the restaurants were very attentive to everyone's needs and very gracious. Sunset on the beach at the Brigatine restaurant was always something to look foward to. Way toooo many stairs. We booked this vacations over 8 months ago and we received a view of the parking lot.....No need to ever stay here again. The view that we had was very nice overlooking the marina (and we wanted to be close to the marina and its surroundings) and we loved the infinity pools. The rooms were cleaned daily but not all of the towels were replaced (the next day they were there though). We had to wait until about 2pm to get into our room at arrival when checkout was 11am. Didn't […] like that much! There was a lot of walking up and down ramps and stairways to access the amenities so if you have a problem with this, just noting it. Everyone was friendly and helpful and overall the stay was very nice. As with all experiences there are the occasional small things but this place is very pleasent, secure and comfortable. Service at the front desk is slower than other hotels. I stayed in the Luxury Suite and it was worth every penny. Awesome views from the infinity pools. Short walk to the Marina. I would highly recommend this hotel. Not a crazy beach scene nice, quite, and not far from the party.

I booked the ridge and it was a beautiful room however, it overlooked the Naval yard and the bay not the beach or pool. We asked to move and they accommodated us the next day. We got picked up from our hotel to go ATVing and ziplining two separate days, enjoyed a massage, ate wonderful meals, swam at the incredible pools, went to a beach party/dinner at the hotel and had sherbert almost every night in the breezeway and walked to the Marina and Medona beach on our last day. Very nice and clean hotel. Overall a great stay, and the pool areas are really nice. Just be aware that it is a more secluded section of the larger Playa Grande hotel. This is nice because you get access to all the Playa Grande amenities (larger pool, spa, gym, etc) but it is a farther walk from all those amenities. Also, there is no wifi in the Ridge […] areas. I have never written a critique of a hotel before now, but I admit I read them and find other's advice helpful. Been to Cabo 3 times and were staying at Playa’s “The Ridge”. Check-in was efficient & given our room number and pointed to go through a hallway. Took us 20 minutes & the help of 3 staff members to locate our room. It would be helpful if at […] check-in you would get a map of how to navigate up and down from the lobby to the pool, etc. Several different websites indicate “all rooms have an ocean view”. Not true. See picture attached. Our room looked over the parking lot, a street & buildings; the marina and mountains in background but could not be enjoyed over the noise. The front desk, promised we would be moved on Saturday, a promise they never followed through on. Rooms are nicely designed. They have coffee for sale in the room, but NO COFFEE MAKER. It would also be nice if the key operated gate that allows you to by-pass Playa’s Lobby and exit directly outside to the street would be open 24-7 instead of noon to midnight. You can't beat Cabo's food. We loved Alexander’s, Senior Sweets and the Ridge Pool bar. We picked up a copy of our hotel bill the night before we checked out when we scheduled our shuttle back to the airport. Check it carefully, we found an error. Lastly, the hotel arranged our shuttle back to the airport. The driver dropped us off at the Terminal A and it turns out American is out of Terminal B - & they are not connected. Read more

We were upgraded to a larger room upon request by the hotel general manager, Juan Carlos. Original room was fine, but the view wasn't so hot. New room had a wonderful view and the general manager work hard to see to it personally that everything we needed was provided for. My husband and I thought 'The Ridge Luxury Villas' was a BEAUTIFUL place to stay. We were disappointed about how much walking there was to just get out of 'The Ridge' though. When I read that before we left on our vacation, I thought, "What a bunch of wimps!" Seriously, if you are staying in one of the lower buildings... especially building E... don't […] wear shoes that are going to hurt your feet. 'The Ridge' basically makes it so that you HAVE to walk through their lobby. It's not convenient if you are wanting to venture out to the marina, downtown Cabo or get a water taxi over to Medano beach. The last couple of days we were happy to find out you could get out of 'The Ridge' through an exit to the 'Galeon' Italian restaurant. However, the exit is only open when the restaurant is open. Despite the blisters I got from uncomfortable dress shoes for dinner every night, we loved our stay. We just wish the hotel would make it easier to exit their place and enjoy Cabo. The Ridge is a beautiful hotel and I liked the added security that if you didn't have a "Ridge" hotel room key, you couldn't get the elevator up to the resort. The Ridge guests have access to the entire Playa Grande Resort, as well as the 3 private pools up on the Ridge. The rooms all have 2 bathrooms and sleep 6 comfortably. der Ort selbst, Carbo de San Lucas ist ein Satellitort ohne jeglichen kulturellen Background, nur für Touristen errrichtet und vollkommen von Amerikanern geprägt. Das muss einem bewusst sein und das muss man mögen. Hingegen San Jose de Cabos ist ganz Nahe und entzückend, kann ich wirklich weiterempfehlen aber 7 Tage sind genug...
