The flatiron was recommended to us from a friend who frequents nyc a lot. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is very clean, especially for New York. Overall 3.5 from me. Customer service was good. Doorman was very helpful. We asked for a higher floor after reading previous reviews of noise from lounge. No problem at all. Room was clean and not too small. There's a TV built into the mirror in bathroom. Kinda cool. The bed and pillows were hard as a rock, and the sheets were very rough. Overall, I enjoyed the stay. Some complaints I have are noise (due to traffic and pedestrians) and the fact that there's no convenient power outlet by the desk -- I had to move the desk away from the wall in order to gain access to the power outlet.

I've stayed in a great many hotels near this one, and with the exception of the Eventi Kimpton - it blows all the others away (and it's at least on par with the Eventi). The service can't be beat, and the rooms are extremely comfortable. I'll look to stay here again ASAP.

Enjoyed the two day stay at The Flatiron. The shower was amazing and the TV in the bathroom was a first. Clean and roomy this hotel even had a live band downstairs if you wanted to have a drink and enjoy live music.

Well-appointed hotel with style and flair. Location is convient to my office. Only complaint is you can hear the band (which is good) playing if you are staying on the lower floors but if you don't go to bed till after midnight, not a problem.

Loved the hotel. Location was great. Nightly entertainment a plus. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice new rooms. Very clean. We were warned about the noise level from the music in the lobby, so it was not a surprise. We could hear some of it on the 7th floor, but it really didn't bother us at all. Decor of room was lovely. The bed was very comfy and outfitted with new white duvet and linens, nice pillows. Shower had body jets, handheld sprayer and rain shower head. Nice breakfast in lobby restaurant. Front desk employees reported loving their jobs. Their attitude was infectious.
