Best Western Point South - Ridgeland

Very comfortable room. However, when checked in after 11 pm, we had to be re-directed twice to new rooms as the two first rooms were not prepared, lots of bed sheets and towels everywhere.Overall very convenient for the purpose of our stay (one night to stop while driving from Savannah to Charleston.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is extremely reasonable approx half the cost of hotels in the area. Clean neat and well cared for. The pool is clean and well secured. The staff were not disrespectful, but could be more personable. Hotel receive patrons a 20% discount at the Denny's Resturant. I would recommend this hotel to any one traveling […] in the area. Location is good there gas, several options for food, the Frampton Plantation Welcome center is next door and easy access to the interstate or US 17 to Charleston SC. All in all a good choice. For the price I paid ($70), I was surprised with the quality of the hotel. It is definitely not a five star hotel, but perfect place for one night on my drive back from Florida to NC.

We chose this hotel because they have a pool, and found that it was huge and very warm. Rarely do you run across a hotel pool this warm, and that's a good enough reason for us to stay here again. Having an attached Denny's was also nice.

Service at front desk was good - but attached Denny's restaurant service was awful. For our 40 minute wait, however, they didn comp us 50%. Pool could use a good cleaning, but room was clean enough and location was convenient to 95.

The bathroom sink would not drain and the toilet would have to be flushed numerous times for it to work. Generally the hotel was not in the best of shape. Front door stuck half way open and had to be forced to open all the way. Staff said the "sinks sometimes drain slow" and that was her reply.

Hotel was difficult to locate because the address is Ridgeland, but the actual location is north of Ridgeland, SC --- Highway 17 crosses I-95 several times so that adds to the confusion. had to wait too long to check in, also was asked several times to wait while front desk answered phone. also when we tried to check in we were told our reservation wasn't valid even though we had confirmation number then manager came over and said yes our reservation was good. Pool heater was not working and pool was very dirty.

Very incompetant people at reception desk! Took forever to check in. The walk in front of the rooms was not swept, leaves all over. The room smelled horribly like smoke and was small and dingy. When the toilet was flushed, a pipe started to leak a lot of water on the floor, in the bathroom the water not go down as it shoudl have..... One of the beds […] had a piece of 4 inch wide iron sticking out that proved dangerous as it was covered by the bedskirt causing bruises... The bed looked dingy including the pillows, linen crooked on the pillows and bed... To get to the outdoor pool you have to walk through the hotel where the laundry facility is located viewing the dirty linen and the water overflowing from who knows where.... The covered pool area was filthy including the water....No,, would never stay at that facility ever again. However next morning the young woman at the receptionist desk was very helpful! Read more

This was ideal for our son's graduation. It was right off 95 and only 20-25 min from Parris Island. Our room was quite and clean and having the Denny's and Waffel House within walking distance it was fine.

On our second night of a 2 night stay, we arrived at our room to find that our keys did not work. We went to the front desk to find out why. We were told very rudely that we would not be allowed into our room until the balance on our bill had been paid. We had prepaid for our 2 night stay, which we explained to the young woman who was the same woman […] who had checked us in the night before. She insisted that we owed a balance and that her boss had instructed her not to renew the keys until it was paid. We had to produce our receipt from our online payment at which point she called her boss to find out what to do. She said that she was to get off work at 9:00 and "she didn't care what happened, she was going home." After discussion with her boss our keys were reactivated, but we received no apology. I am fairly certain that with the exception of truckers or the few that are passing by, the only reason to come to this area is for the Marine Corps training facility on Parris Island, the Graduation Ceremony to be precise. The Denny's connected to the lobby was very convenient, and the free breakfasts were also very much appreciated. Word of advice: […] get there early, as it tends to get quite crowded later in the morning. The hotel has a pool, however that's not my thing, so I couldn't tell you how that was. The condition of the room was less than stellar. There appeared to be "re-painting" on the walls; (IE patchwork.) The carpets seemed a bit worn, but clean. For the money it is a great hotel, but don't expect anything extra or "fancy." Upon returning every night, my room was cleaned very well. Everything was restocked and made orderly. Used hotel for one night stay while visiting Parris Island for graduation. Specifically need a hotel with pool. Chose this hotel due to indoor pool so it could be use regardless of weather. Pool wasclosed! Water temperature in shower and sinks not properly functioning. Water would not warm to desired set temperature, it changed back and forth every […] second from hot to cold. Was not able to take a relaxing shower - had to keep stepping away due to water changes. Ok for quick stay if not needing pool facilities or if you don't care about water temperature in your shower.
