I would highly recommend this hotel. Staff was wonderful with every request I had (glasses of ice, phone calls, beach towels, golf cart rental, etc). Very convenient location - close to but not in busy downtown area, only one block south of the ferry dock, easy to catch a taxi from or walk to the downtown area. Very clean. Wonderful refreshing swimming pool.

New (5 year old) well-maintained hotel a few blocks from the ferry terminal. It's super clean, has excellent air conditioning and good free wifi. We felt it was an excellent value. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The views from the spacious bay side rooms are wonderful and well worth the difference in price. Higher floors have better views. Rooms ending in 02 and 05 have their own private balcony with bay view. Rooms ending in 03 and 04 share a balcony. On the ground floor is a small spa style pool which is great for cooling off in the afternoon. It doesn't get a lot of sun in this location, so don't think of it as a resort pool. Also located on the ground floor is a free purified water dispenser. We had a small fridge in our room. Location-wise, it's across the street from a coop where local fishermen come in with their catches. A good beach is 10 minutes walk away. Many good restaurants and shops are located on or near Hidalgo Street which is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The only slight negative is a very basic and limited breakfast. Suggestions: Barlito has the best breakfast/lunch--delicious, fresh and interesting. Olivia is great for dinner with a very nice setting and Mediterranean style cuisine. Bally Hoo has the best fish tacos with a view. Punta Sur at the south end of the island is definitely worth a visit for amazing waves crashing against a rugged coast at the eastern-most point in all of Mexico.

Bahia Chaco Chi is a great hotel in all respects, except for the breakfast. Don't expect much because you won't get much. The cereal was great for kids or anyone who likes cocoa krispies and the fruit was half rotten. Other than that it was our stay was very nice.

Pros: Very clean, large shower. Within walking distance to everything on the north side of the island. Staff allowed us a late check out as we didn't have to leave the island until 3 p.m. Lots of t.v. channels and some in English. Great view of the ocean from the rooms that face the ocean. The higher your room the better for a great view. Our safe batteries went dead and we couldn't open it the first day but staff quickly fixed problem. A 2-3 minute walk from the ferry dock so no taxi needed. Friendly staff who made us a dinner reservation one night. Cons: Breakfast was just okay. Sugary cereal, toast with jam, basic fruit (pears and apples) and orange juice. No mango or Jicama. Beds are hard. My shoulders ached each morning. Nothing and I mean NOTHING on the white walls. Lots of highway noise. Started early in the morning but didn't bother us much. Couldn't sleep with the balcony doors open due to noise. Pool area never gets sun. Okay if you don't want sun but a bummer if you do. Overlall, loved the layed back feel of the island with minimal spring breakers. Nice hotel iin a nice location. Great Vacation!

Great value and a great place to base our first trip to Isla from. They were sold out of the pool view rooms which we requested so they gave us one of the ocean view rooms at no extra chgarge. The ocean view room was a little noisey, but we enjoyed watching sunsets and watching people on the street below. The staff was excellent. Across the street is the Restaurant Justica Social. It is connected with the fisherman's cooperative next door. In one week we ate there four times.

From the moment we ascended the stairs to the reception desk till we checked out, I felt like I was a top priority. The staff went above and beyond to help us out with restaurant choices, means of travel and safety of the town. I am already planning on going back next spring. The view was awesome from room 302.

The Bahia Chac Chi is a "perfect" hotel for a perfect vacation. The room was immaculate and the staff was most helpful, friendly, and most eager to insure that your stay was all that you wished it to be. Would I go back to this hotel? YES! We plan to return to Isla Muheres in August and will definitely be staying in the same hotel. Everything is so convenient from this location--the ferry, restaurants, shops...We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

The hotel itself was very good and a good price. The staff is quite good and very responsive to any requests. Luis was especially helpful. The bed was typical for Isla Mujeres, but not as hard as other hotels where we have stayed on the island. It would have been nice to be closer to the beach but the walk was good for us. The Social Justice co-op across the street was a great find, along with the street vendor (taco stand) adjacent to the restaurant.

We have stayed in Isla before at different hotels and the thing that stands out the most about Bahia Chac Chi is the quality of the service, starting with all the of the staff that work there. They were always ready to assist you or attend to your needs. The hotel is only 5 years old so everything still works and is pleasing to the eye. The water front rooms have an amazing view with the sunset right off your balcony. The elevator is a plus for getting your luggage to and from your room. The morning breakfast is always available with fresh squeezed OJ, coffee and fruit. I would stay here again and highly recomend this hotel.

It's a very nice hotel. Super clean, attractive modern rooms....good location...friendly staff. Only downside is that the street outside which lines the waterfront is really noisy and the bed was pretty hard. Other than that it's a very nice place and is well-run. Good wifi signal in the room!

Our stay in the hotel was excellent. You simply can't beat the bay view rooms. We talked with them about booking a tour for us to see Chichén Itzá, which they gladly did. They told us a van would pick us up on the other side of the ferry and drive us to the site, which is exactly what we wanted. We paid $100 USD and what we got was a van that brought us to a parking lot at Wet N Wild, where we waited for about an hour to board a bus. The bus brought us to Cenote for swimming (which we were not prepared for and didn't want to do anyway), then a horrible buffet lunch, and finally the ruins. We only had 2.5 hours in the ruins before they closed. We were, literally, running through the park just snapping photos as fast as we could. Even so, we missed a lot. The hotel told us it would be an 8 hour day; but, it was actually a 16 hour day and only 2.5 of those hours were at the ruins. When I told the hotel staff about that he said he had never heard of that complaint before. So, either this was not the standard procedure for the tour company they work with, or no one else has told them. Either way, it was a tour that I would not like to do again.

The staff at the Bahia is great. They do anything they can to make your stay comfortable - suggestions for dinner or ice for your drinks. The view from the belcany is beautiful. They now have chairs and a table on the belcany. We wished there would have been a refrigerator in the room. Breakfast consisted of coffee, fresh OJ, fruits, breads, yogurt and cereal. This was more than enough to start our days. We ate at the hotel most mornings. We rented a golf cart for most of our stay. It was convenient to go to the beach. A private beach with lounge chairs would be nice. If you have drinks on the beach, they let you use thier chairs and umbrellas for free. The hotel provides beach towels. We also had dinner in the south section of the island, away from the hectic north end. We had some fantastic dinners. Try Roosters or Belitos on the main street for breakfast or lunch. Both were delicious. I would stay at the Bahia again.

We have been to the island several times for day trips, but decided to do an overnight. The hotel is about 2 blocks from where the ferry docks. There are alot of options for food and drink as well as beaches within walking distance. We rented a golf cart and toured the island during the day (use the lock on your rented cart, ours was "used" by a local while we were at a beach bar), but walked the down town at night. We really liked the balcony on our 4th floor room. Great veiw! Only downside is the street noise until about 10pm. Good service, clean room, modern decor.

We were exceptionally pleased with our four-night stay at the Bahia Chac Chi. The location is excellent - walkable from the ferry station and overlooking the Bay. The accommodations were very clean and the staff was extremely helpful. We found the hotel to be well positioned for walking to the beach or various restaurants and it served as a great location for our group. We would highly recommend the Bahia Chac Chi and would definitely stay there again!

Great place, I highly recommend it because it was so clean and in an ideal location. No bugs whatsoever, and the staff was extremely pleasant and friendly. They have all the amenities and cleanliness of a ritz Carlton minus the spa and restaurants. Thy have the cutest front desk area- far more modern than local in atmosphere, which is a nice vacation from the rest of the island. Would stay here again if we ever go back. Close to everything, especially the nightlife and north beach. We even walked to punta sur, however I would definitely recommend a golf cart to avoid heatstroke... :)

The Room is very spacious and spotless clean. Continental breakfast is nice, however staff is not always efficient and a couple of times we came down about 15 minutes before the end of the meal and there was no more bread/juice etc. the pool is very very small but is very clean and it is nice to refresh in it at the end of a nice day. The downside of this hotel is that it is located straight on a main street and the rooms are very noisy, especially the ones on the first and second floor, on the first night we were given a room on the first floor and could not sleep. (although we had booked 1.5 month in advance and asked for a room on a high floor) One of the receptionist was not very nice and did just said that this is the only rooms they had. on the next day there was a nicer receptionist that did try to help (although she too said they have no more rooms left). eventually we got to the manager and hocus pocus there were other available rooms and we were moved to a higher floor (which was still noisy, but we were able to sleep). and lastly, the sea view is of the peer, and not to the lovely turquoise beach areas, which is not what we had expected.

We chose this hotel, as it was close to the Ferry, and had balconies to enjoy the views. We stayed there for our last 2 nights of a 13 day vacation on the beautiful Isla Mujeres. The hotel did not disappoint. Close enough to walk to everything.(including the Ferry, when we had to leave) Basic breakfast provided, which was more then adequate for our needs.(coffee, juice, cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast, etc.) The hotel actually had a bit of a European feel, basic, the bed very firm, the room a little sparse, but fine for a short stay. The price was very reasonable as well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would use it again, for a short stay.

We were at the Bahia Cha Chi for 10 nights, first time to Isla. We had a balcony to the ocean side facing Cancun. Beautiful view and nice size balcony. Short distant to the beach, shopping and eating. The trip was very relaxing as that is what we planned. A bit noisy on the strip but it dies down in the evening. Room was always cleaned well, service was good and so was the continental breakfast. Thys did tend to shut down the coffee a bit soon considering it was expensive on the island to go out and buy. Pool was cold and we never saw it used. Because of the design of the building it was always shaded. Overall very good experience, however if we went back it would be for a 3 night stay and closer to the beach.

We were pleasantly surprised when we entered our room. It was bright, clean and spacious. The only negative was that there wasn't a fridge. Whenever we needed something, the hotel staff was eager to oblige. The continental breakfast included a variety of cereals (including fibre and oatmeal), yogurt, fruit and peanut butter. Outdoor pool was cool. The location was perfect. Close to the ferry for those inclined to go to the mainland to take a side trip to Playa de Carmen or Tulum. Within walking distance of the beaches, the "town" and the grocery store. Golf carts or scooters are available to rent to get around the island. Taxis are cheap (cost should be between 30 and 50 pesos). Pay in pesos so that you avoid multiple conversion fees. There are HSBC bank machines available. Many places don't take credit cards. Some places don't sell wine etc but you can usually bring your own. There is a great Isla Mujeres website for additional information about the island.

I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat. The staff went above and beyond every expectation. I loved the comfortable bed, the huge, marble, state of the art shower and the ocean view. The breakfast was simple, yet provided enough nutritional options to get the day started. Bahia's proximity to amenities was both its asset and its liability, as traffic noise kept us off the balcony. For your daily amusement, checkout the discarded mannequin by the poolside. If I could make one change, I would ask for bedside reading lamps. Mike

They gave us a room with known cockroach issues. They were dead on the floor. We could either keep the cockroach room or take a downgraded pool view room with no refund. We kept the cockroach room to keep our ocean view. Too ba you can't sleep past 4:40am cause of all the road noise. Spend a little more. There is much better in the island with much better service.

Clean, comfortable and central hotel room for two friends and I in January. The room was big enough to share and have personal space. Nice big balcony overlooking the bay. Good soundproofing between rooms and lovely shower. Lovely staff. Too bad that now Isla Mujeres is ridiculously flooded with cars, motorcycles and golf carts - unnecessary noise and exhaust fumes - a tiny island with only three bikes visible in one week - bizarre.

Really nice hotel, feels like a new hotel (or in very good condition). They are very nice and help you rent a golf car and other tours. The only problem we had is that everyday you need to be one of the first to ask for beach/pool towls, or you will not get one! (there are not enough for evetyone for some reason). In addition, we were on the first floor and you could allmost hear everything that's going on on the street, so if you a light sleeper, ask for an hier floor. I would defenetly stay there again!!! highly recommended.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in October. We had excellent service from the front desk attendant and the cleaning team. Though not fantastic, the rooms do have wi-fi. In room wi-fi can be difficult to find on the island. The hotel has an excellent view, facing Cancun which means you will see phenomenal sunsets. Wish I could comment on the pool or the breakfast but we didn't try either of those. Overall it is an excellent place to stay.

Gods location. It's is a short walk to Playa Norte and close to shops and the ferry terminal. Breakfast is quite basic and staff are lovely and very helpful. Spacious clean rooms.

cute hotel, right off the ferry dock. Not the greatest location but the rooms are clean, and quite sufficient. Ask for room 404- the best view of the ocean! one more tip- the restaurant on the water line in front of the hotel serves fantastic sea food. Enjoy!

The only negative was the matress, but to be fair, I have an amazing bed at home and it is hard to live up to. Also, the wifi is HORRIBLE in the rooms, but great in the lobby and they have comfy couches to hang out on and watch the world go by. And it seems it is difficult to find a hotel that has decent free wifi, no matter what country I am in. The staff was wonderful. Very helpful and always had a warm smile every time we left and returned to the hotel. Having unlimited access to filtered water was also a big bonus! I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

On the good side - the location is practically across the street to the ferry dock so you can walk right over to your hotel with all your bags. Rooms were spotlessly clean and room service was very efficient. Located on the edge of the Centro district where all the shops and restaurants are. Not a bad walk to the beach. On the bad side - no wifi in the rooms despite the fact they said there was. Had to go to the lobby to connect and, even then, horribly slow connection. Water pressure in the room was terrible, shower did little more than dribble. Lost all hot water one day. Continental breakfast was barely adequate. Location is incredibly noisy. A lot of street traffic. Room was the most expensive in the hotel and, at US$188 per night - very small. Hey, it was okay. Most of the good hotels are outrageously priced and this was a bit of a break.

We stayed one night here during our two day stay on Isla Mujeres. The hotel was really clean and a great choice. After arriving to Isla Mujeres via ferry you only have to cross the road to get to the hotel. Even we were there way before the check-in time it was no problem and we could directly check-in. The hotel staff was also really helpful with setting up trips for us. The room decor and furniture is modern and gives enough space to storage stuff and relax. All in all, a really pleasant and comfortable stay.

We stayed at Hotel Bahia Bric Chic for 3 nights whilst in Isla Mujeres, its extremely close to the ferry stop and is within walking distance to the beach. However, there were nicer places closer to the beach, this hotel had good value for money. The room smelt a tiny bit funny, and the blanket was put inside the bed with the sheet on the outside, so we had to keep re-doing the bed. The rooms were very clean though. The only disappointment was that they lied to us about the Whale Shark tour that they offered. The ones in town are cheaper but the staff insisted that the tour was on the best, safest and biggest boat - all the boats are the same. I was really annoyed that they lied to us. However, the swimming with the whale sharks was amazing - please note that it takes about 1.5 hours to get to the sharks via boat and they take you out in a tiny boat which is not what they tell you when you book. Also they informed us that breakfast was included on the boat and it wasnt. The hotel breakfast was only available for an hour and a half which is not good enough - 7.30-9.00am.

The Bahia Chac Chi was absolutely perfect for what we wanted on the Isla Mujeres. It was close enough to walk to the ferry (even with our horribly heavy bags and in the scorching heat!) but the lobby and pool area made it seem quite luxurious. The room was cool and comfortable and the staff are friendly. It is just a quick walk to where all the restaurants are and the lovely Playa Norte. Would go back there in a flash!

My boyfriend and I planned a trip to Cancun and decided to take a day trip to Isla Mujeres. We loved it so much that we decided to extend our trip a few extra days and stayed at the Bahia Chac Chi. It was great! The room decorations were a little sparse, but it was modern and had everything we needed. Both the rooms and hotel were very clean, the front desk staff were always friendly and extremely helpful, and it's in a great location. It's surrounded by restaurants and shops and about a 5-10 minute walk to beautiful North Beach. We would definitely stay there again!
